  1. I think literally everyone here is on that team. But I'm still waiting for someone to name a legit OG that is in a position to be available for a trade like CMC is right now.
  2. Those buses would be an absolute ***** show tho. I'd pay to see it.
  3. Originally drafted up by Jeremy Maclin
  4. I referenced that play as well. It was something right out of Looney Tunes and really sealed his fate for me. Bad showing.
  5. I mean, more often than not, Buffalo weather does suck. I dont remember the announcing crew being harsh on Buffalo about it tho. They mentioned the wind a couple times. Our stadium is windy. Dont be so sensitive.
  6. If you are wasting time on a Bills message board on your work laptop/network then you already messed up.
  7. I love what Ive seen out of Hamlin so far. His tackling technique is nearly perfect, and something that is sorely lacking across the entire NFL.
  8. I agree on the play-calling aspect. We called more outside/off-tackle runs last game and they worked far better than slamming it into the pile in the middle. I'd love to see way more running behind Spencer Brown. And yes, OL can be improved. But again, so could RB. Plus, there arent any good Guards available or I'm sure Beane would be all over it. Gotta work with what is available in reality.
  9. Panthers and Giants have crappy OLs, some would say worse than ours, and CMC and Barkley are still putting up numbers. Yes our OL can be improved, but so can our RBs who have poor instincts, poor vision, and do not find/hit the holes that are there.
  10. I'm sure this was posted elsewhere as well, but... 🤤
  11. Just like the crap about us in on Von Miller before he chose LA. Or the crap about us in on Diggs a year before we finally landed him. Or the crap about us pursuing Sanders before he picked the Saints. Or the crap about us being in on Watt before he held up a Carindals cap and a Bills cap and chose Phoenix. Can you point to any big internet rumors that were actually false? Because so far, they all ended up true. And most ended up happening.
  12. True, good point, but we're talking an "aging" RB here. This line of discussion piqued my interest... Leonard Fournette, after helping carry TB to a SB, got 3/$21M. Melvin Gordon got 1/$2.5 Most big RB contracts are the deals immediately following their rookie deal, and then fall off a cliff for their 3rd contract. With no guaranteed money remaining, Beane could bring him in this year for $600k, then say "How about 2/$15M with $10M guaranteed?" If he doesnt take it, cut him and let him try the market next year. But he might sign it to get that guaranteed money as an aging RB who has been dinged up. The contract is meaningless at this point.
  13. Sure, we could throw out mid-round pick combos all day, and I'm sure some or most of them are being offered and discussed between the teams in question. I'd guess a 3rd and 6th adds up close to a 4th on the point chart. Same thing. I dont think either of us thinks it will be a 1st, or 2 2nds. So we both agree it will be in those mid-round picks.
  14. That exact play is the reason they changed the rules THAT WEEK and arent allowed to do that anymore. But great call digging this up.
  15. And CMC is a guy with a big contract who has been injured lately. The Panthers will want to get out of that contract, but the only way right now is to cut him and let him walk for nothing, or trade him and get SOMETHING in return. A 4th sounds about right.
  16. Ref is a tool. The fact another ref had to "hold him back" from going after Epenesa tells me everything I need to know about this power-tripping little weasel. AJ never touched him. Ref got his feelings hurt by whatever AJ said to him, and tossed him. Pathetic.
  17. We moved Dareus and Watkins both for 6th round picks. Teams that are in rebuild mode will take anything they can get. I dont think a 6th gets this done, but a 4th isnt unreasonable. I wish I had the audio of Romo going on about the bold moves Beane made to clean house and rebuild the team, and that is what teams need to do if they are serious about rebuilding. I hope Carolina was watching the broadcast.
  18. If they are fine paying out the rest of that contract, sure, they probably will. But if everyone is seeing him as a possible 1 year rental who would have to sign a new deal, then we're probably all in the same ballpark. Teams that are tanking and looking to completely rebuild would be happy to eat the entire contract now and get it off the books for the next regime. Beane did it with a couple of our super star players I believe.
  19. Meaning he probably wont see another ridiculous contract like the Panthers offered him even in Free Agency.
  20. Sure. But that also plays into what we offer in negotiations. Obviously if we trade a 1st then we are over a barrel with having to re-sign him (a la Texans/Tunsil), but I doubt Beane does that. If it is a 4th rounder... I can eat that for a one year rental who helps get us a SB.
  21. Folks, read the thread. The money "issue" has been addressed.
  22. Yes and no. We'd only owe him that if we kept him. None of that $11-12M is guaranteed. So the first approach is as a 1 year rental for $600k. If we wanted to keep him beyond that, we could make an offer at a restructure to give him some guaranteed money, but much less than $12M/yr. Point being, Beane has room to work his magic. And no one does it better.
  23. Addressed upthread. $600k this year.
  24. Lots of both. And there isnt a guy who plays RB and OL, so we'll go with what we can get. The OL could be improved, sure. But Moss has 40 yards of open green in front of him at one point yesterday, he took forever to get his feet moving (almost like a cartoon where they are running in place trying to get going), and then when he finally did start running he tripped over his own feet for a gain of 6 instead of 60. We could improve at RB and see an improvement in our run game.
