Lil' Dummy McKenzie.........offical team character builder
DrDawkinstein replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
No it isnt. The premise of the thread is that McK is incompetent. That alone isnt an ad hominem. Attack Badol instead of refuting his argument is ad hominem. Anyways... Right. We are all saying that a rookie deserves more playing time. That's how untrustworthy we deem McKenzie. I can understand a rookie making some mistakes. I can not excuse a 5 year vet making dumb plays. That IS the logic. Again, we are talking about a long history of dumb mistakes with McK. No one else you name has that, and it makes no sense to compare it to "one offs". He is a liability. So far you've agreed with me that McK is dialed out more often than others, and the solution is to start Shakir. Exactly what I'm saying. Just saying it your own way. Not sure why you feel the need to defend McK so strongly. Folks arent vandalizing his front lawn. We're just stating the obvious. That wasnt aimed at you outside of you making the perfect statement for me to quote and respond to. All good. 👍 -
Lil' Dummy McKenzie.........offical team character builder

To the bold, so you agree with my premise. Cool. Knox still caught the TD, he still executed. Just because he didnt go the way Josh waved him is irrelevant. McKenzie has trouble catching the ball even when he goes where he is supposed to, mainly because of his lack of concentration. Whether its having the pass taken away, like in LA, or not being ready for the ball even though he is an outlet on the play, or stumbling over his own feet trying to adjust, he's not locked in. And I dont mean "playing flawless football". Everyone will make mistakes. I mean being READY. A better example of what I mean is from the Miami game. The Bills are trying to spike the ball and stop the clock. Josh fumbles the snap and in an instant realizes that he can't spike it and therefore must throw it. He stands up and slings it out to Diggs who is standing outside, thinking its going to be a normal spike play that doesnt involve him at all. Having zero reason to expect the ball, let alone a heater from Josh, Diggs STILL CATCHES IT, fully alert and tries (unsuccessfully) to get up-field. That is what I mean by being "locked in". Having your head in the game and ready for anything. McKenzie barely seems ready for what he should be expecting. Call it hating, call it bashing, make whatever ad hominem fallacy attacks you want, the point still stands and everyone can see it. This has been going on for years. Really his whole career. McK is a liability who should not be starting. Who is? I dont see many or any people pushing for that in here. I think most of his detractors, all Ive seen, are merely saying he should get less snaps and give Shakir a chance. The "cut McKenzie mob" is just a boogeyman made up by the McKenzie defenders who dont want to admit the obvious truth that the dude makes too many unforced bad plays. -

I mean "elevated" as in starting at the slot. Shakir should be the #1 slot WR, with McK backing him up instead of the other way around. -

Thank you. Been saying it all along. He isnt mentally sharp or focused enough to be part of this team. It always something with this dude. Josh, Diggs, Davis, Knox are all dialed-in at all times, ready for anything, and hyper focused on doing their jobs. McK is obviously not. He is a liability, and I do not trust him one bit out on the field with the Super Bowl in the balance. It is 100% Shakir time, and only go to McKenzie if we have no other choice. -
Is Dan Snyder blackmailing the NFL and it’s owners?
DrDawkinstein replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
How do you have a league with no owners? Every single one is dirty in some way. -

I'd rather do an organic chem final every day than a single P-Chem exam. -
I dont know the answer to this so I'm asking everyone: If they trade him now, does that mean his dead cap hits this year and comes off the books next year? As opposed to waiting to trade him until next year, and they get hit with the dead cap during their rebuild? Additionally, trying to trade him now when he is only owed $600k is easier to do than next year when he is owed $12M. I think more teams have $600k now than will have $12M for a RB next year.

Bills PR - 40 Questions with Roger Saffold and Maddie Glab
DrDawkinstein replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Did she pull off his mask, Scooby Doo style, to reveal his true identity is Derrick Dockery? -
Still true today...

There's nothing to eat. His cost to the Bills this year would only be $600k. He has no guaranteed money left on his contract, so he is ripe for a restructure. And he has to know he isnt getting that $12M on the open market. If we got him for a 4th, I'd say keep him as a 1 year rental and dump him. But a 2nd or 2nd/Singletary would require we get a restructure in place before the trade and give him something like a 2yr/$15M extension. We could get him pretty cheap either way.

We tried trading for Miller, that fell through, so we drafted 2 DEs. And then still brought in Miller when he was available. I'm thinking same here. We've called on CMC before, no deal, drafted Cook. That doesnt stop us from bringing in CMC. If anything, given how McD works, it makes it more likely since he likes having those vet tutors. And given how Beane works, he doesnt take 1 or even 2 players as being the solution. He likes to throw numbers at the problem areas.

New offensive wrinkles for the Chiefs defense this week
DrDawkinstein replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Find who #35 Watson is covering, and throw it that way. Gabe Davis about to steal that dude's soul. -
Yes, but even with the "tell" and knowing it's coming, the defenders cant stop it. That's the whole point. WRs do it all the time when they get the match up they want. Alert the QB that they have a single man on them, so let's go. Diggs can line up against these guys and tell them the exact route he's about to run, and they wouldnt be able to stop it. It's a beautiful thing.

One thing to keep in mind is Singletary is in the last year of his contract, so he will likely either 1. walk next year for nothing in return or 2. cost us at least $5M/year to re-sign. Given that, trading him and a pick (even a 2nd, which I dont love) for CMC and a contract extension that gives him 2/$15M, $10M guaranteed... I think I'd rather have CMC than Singletary. Additionally, CMC can tutor Cook like Miller and the young DEs. I know that Cook and Singletary go way back and have been training together for a while, but I dont think Devin really brings all that much vet experience to the table. So if we are going to spend $5M/year on our RB1 the next couple of years, and can choose between CMC and Singletary... I think I lean CMC. Even with the cost of a 2nd (which will be the 63rd pick and pretty much a 3rd).

Why are we playing in KC two years in a row?
DrDawkinstein replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's actually a very clear and simple formula. 🤷♂️ -
If it's going to cost a 2nd and player, then I agree, we need to already have contract in place since he cant be a 1 year rental at that price.
-
Atlanta already got rid of all the rebuild players. Lindstrom isnt going anywhere, especially while on his rookie deal. But sure, I'll give you that one. Start a thread. Moton is a Tackle. No need, and youve been talking about OG. I dont know who Andrew Newell is and neither does Google.

DrDawkinstein replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
4th year in a row KC played in Buffalo in 2020 (We played the entire AFCW) Buff played in KC last year (1st place teams within conference) Buff plays at KC this year (1st place teams in conf) Buff plays AT KC next year (We play entire AFCW) -
There is logic that makes CMC available for a trade even if you dont believe the teams have talked. HC fired, team going into full rebuild, large non-guaranteed contract. Do the same with OG and let us know who you think is available.
-
No one is ignoring it. Who, IN REALITY, is the legit OG that is available for trade?
