PFF grades from KC...(for what they're worth)
DrDawkinstein replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nothing ever personal, my man. I was just giving you back some snark from your "11 of 12 angry men" line and the pitchfork gif. You seem to get offended by my posts more than others, or take our shooting the ***** too seriously? If we were discussing over beers, we'd be perfectly aligned. Go Bills -

I dont think its a tough decision either. White and Elam will clearly be our starters when White comes back. Not to take anything away from Benford or even Jackson, but Elam is getting that spot. -

Oh yeah, 2 years ago. Tough to keep track nowadays since we basically lost a couple years. What even is time anymore? -

I'm a historical Edmunds detractor, but I also understand his assignments. I dont expect him to jump routes per se, because if he does and misses, the receiver is GONE. His job is to keep everything in front of him, give them those short underneath completions as their only option, then make the tackle. The problem before was that he wasnt making that tackle. Now he is. I will give him that. It's huge. Agreed, I wish he would find himself in better position to tip/deflect passes. Given his length and range you would think we'd see more. He has shown improvement in those numbers this year, but they arent quite where Kuechly's numbers were playing the same role in the same scheme. Your willful blinders on McKenzie's poor performance and lack of reliability given 5 years of data is impressive, I'll give you that. Could ask the same about your post. We dont have to agree with the grades, but they are good jump-off points that lead into better discussion. Thanks for contributing! -

It reminded me of the game-winning* throw Josh made to Diggs against the Cardinals last year. Hit Diggs low to the outside in the endzone just like that. Such a difficult throw to make, and we've seen Josh make it multiple times now. *if not for some lucky bull#### -

When you see Pickett put up 300 yards but only 3 points, and Mahomes put up 340 yards and only 20 points... I'd say we're pretty close to bend but dont break. It's will always be the case in the cover-2 shell we run. Teams can move down the field to an extent, if they are happy to take what we give them. But once we get inside the 40-30 yard line, it naturally tightens up. -

Yeah, we know Beane doesnt mind stacking picks at same/similar positions. So I am looking for a re-do of the Wood/Levitre draft where we go Center/Guard in rounds 1 and 2. And then maybe even back to that well later in draft (the equivalent of Benford to Elam). -
Allen back to back offensive player of the week

I do enjoy me some Colts/Jags as well. Great rivalry. But the games were totally different. -

Ryan passed a bunch and put up numbers, but Josh was clutch in a brutal heavy weight battle. Watching both games it becomes clear who had the bigger game. -

True. But if that's what they dinged him on, then you'd think the 2 (3?) really great open field tackles he made later on would have balanced that out. -

Given what we know about Taron, I assumed him getting picked on early had to do with the schemes we were running and purposely pushing the ball to those spots. And when the time came, he made the play he needed to. It was such a coaching chess match of adjustments and readjustments, and both teams doing it so well. -

Interesting point. I cant disagree about his poor tackling in KC, but in the previous couple of games he showed great form and was a solid tackler. I'll chalk it up to KC being really good on Offense and being good/smart enough to catch him in bad positions where he had to stretch or dive to try to make a play. -

I thought they were maybe dinging him since Kelce had a decent day, but JuJu had a better day and the DBs scored well, so... 🤷♂️ -
All the Highs make sense, but some of the lows have me scratching my head. WTF are the grading Milano on? I caught the re-air of the game last night and Cookie was all over the field making big plays. Also thought JP and Shaq had good games. Classic PFF I guess. Who else stood out, good or bad, to you guys? Tough to disagree with anything here on the Offensive side.

I feel like similar can be said for the Bills, but it has more to do with how talented we are. I do not see a game left on our schedule where we will not be the favorite. I dont even see a single game that should be close or tough. Maybe Vikings (but that's at home). Maybe @Bengals, but not if they keep going in the same direction. I think outside of losing a close game against THE SUN, I'm already talking about the Bills going 16-1 (shouldve been 17-0). We lost to THE SUN. And kept it close.

At least it's not the Broncos? 🤷♂️

Did we just teach the NFL how to defend against KC?
DrDawkinstein replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, but last year. This was the story after last year's regular season victory. "The Bills taught the league to use a soft bubble Cover 2 and stop Mahomes!" It's why you see a lot more teams doing it this year. To the Chiefs, to us, to the Ravens. But the problem for other Defenses is they dont have the players to support it. -
Titans/City Agree on New DOMED Stadium
DrDawkinstein replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall
Someone help me with math... Total cost: $2.2Billion Titans ownership has reportedly agreed to put up $800 million to help fund the project. The stadium also will be funded by a $500 million investment by the state. That is still a $900M gap in funding. Still a $838M gap in funding. Do they expect $838M from PSLs??? -
There are good DTs all over the league. We played against a bunch of good ones in 2019 as well. More so than anyone else, the Eagles and Fletcher Cox, kicked our asses. It's a bad match up or something. He took over the games in 2015 and 2019. I'm not talking about other DTs. I'm talking specifically about a DT that plays us hard and has had our number.
-
Bills are the #1 team right now. No doubt about it. The thing that worries me about the Eagles is they always play us hard, and their DLine always takes over the game. Fletcher Cox beat up our entire interior OL all by himself in 2019, and 2015. I know a lot has changed since those games, but not when it comes to our interior OL getting tougher. We'll see.

Lil' Dummy McKenzie.........offical team character builder

Lil' Dummy McKenzie.........offical team character builder
DrDawkinstein replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Same. I dont "hate" McK as a person or even as a player. I hope he does well, and have enjoyed the games when he's able to make big contributions. But we have a Super Bowl to win... -
Lil' Dummy McKenzie.........offical team character builder
DrDawkinstein replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
He was a rookie and has shown improvement in awareness and focus every year. Denver cut McK for the same reasons, and he's still doing dumb stuff. Bad comparison, imo. I'm willing to pass on the slip because there are so many other examples, it isnt even needed. Only discussed because it is so recent. Dont even need it for the list tho. Still isnt an ad hominem. Plus, we're shooting the ***** here. This isnt some official government institution where decorum reigns. Dummy, unfocused, scatter-brained, incompetent.... all the same. No one is saying he's a horrible person, or even a horrible player. Just too unfocused to trust when our sights are set on the Super Bowl. Heck, Badol even called him a "character builder". Which is sarcastic and backhanded, but isnt a vicious, unwarranted attack. It's reasonable to expect Shakir, a rookie, to continue to improve and grow (if he doesnt, we'll address that then). At this point, with the body of work available, I think it's equally as reasonable to say that these bonehead mistakes part of what McK brings as a player. I'll state again for posterity. McK is a liability, and Shakir should start in the slot.
