  1. Just curious. I like this number, but where are you getting it from?
  2. CMC? His contract can be restructured to be whatever we want next year (that he'll agree to obviously). There is no guaranteed money left, so if he is cut he earns nothing until he gets another deal. And an aging, injured RB is not making more than $5M on the open market. He becomes real cheap, actually. We could probably restructure him, and extend Poyer, and extend Oliver. The toughest one is Edmunds considering his market value will be around $18M-20M, and that is a LOT to eat for a guy we were unsure on going into this season.
  3. Right now, I'm hoping CMC goes to SF or LA. edit: Sorry @Sherlock Holmes. But, hey, if he is in SF maybe your chances go up?
  4. I havent watched the full clip yet, but the out takes were funny in the 1min tweet.
  5. That's how I see it as well. The 9ers dont really have a shot when you consider it is Mahomes vs Jimmy G at QB. No way Jimmy keeps up with the other offense.
  6. This is actually the funniest, least cringey thing I've seen him do so far. So that's where we are at.
  7. Options tonight: Thursday Night Stinker - Saints/Cardinals Bills/Chiefs replay on NFLN 8:15pm Sabres/Flames on ESPN 9:30pm I'll probably catch the first half of the Bills game and then switch to Sabres. And will likely take the weekend off of NFL to go do Fall stuff with the fam.
  8. I take all grades with a grain of salt considering none of these "civilians" really know assignments and responsibilities even if they do watch all the film. I see the grades more as a general guide and jumping off point for discussions among friends and message board posters.
  9. I dont follow these regularly. Does Joe ever give Ds or Fs?
  10. Agreed on Gailey and it wasnt meant as a shot at him. More so a statement on where the entire organization was at the time.
  11. Same thing I used to say about Russel Wilson going to the Seahawks instead of the Bills in the 3rd round. Pete Carroll and staff went through tremendous lengths to support Wilson and ensure his success. Carroll went so far as to have custom footballs made without laces so he could teach Russ to get rid of the ball quickly even if he didnt have the perfect grip. So much stuff like that went into what the Seahawks did to make Russ successful. There is no guarantee Wilson would have received that type of coaching and development under Gailey and crew. Actually, it's pretty certain he would not have. And look at the difference now, ever as an experienced, developed veteran vs how he was performing in Seattle. Yes, a lot of success is up to the player. Certainly, Josh has put in more work than any other QB. But success does not occur in a vacuum. It is very situational in the NFL. You take Josh away from McD and Dabol and Dorsey, and stick him on the Browns with their shitshow carousel of coaches, and it's a whole other story.
  12. I know folks are pretty polarized on (or really ANTI) Tim Tebow, but I mainly think of and remember him as a college player. One of the best college players I've ever seen, at that. And when I watch Josh's will and determination, it very much reminds me of Tebow in his Florida days. Especially in 2008 when they lost an early season game to Ole Miss and afterwards Tebow took to the podium and said "...You have never seen any player in the entire country play as hard as I will play the rest of this season and you'll never see someone push the rest of the team as hard as I will push everybody the rest of this season, and you'll never see a team play harder than we will the rest of this season..." And then he went out and actually DID IT. Watching Josh reminds me a lot of watching 2008 Tim Tebow. Which is a good thing!
  13. Or do what my dad did and load up your 7yr old son with the wineskin and flask under his snow suit since security didnt check kids back in the 80s because it would take a real monster to use his son as a booze mule 🤣🤣
  14. He never received the level of coaching or development he needed. That is why he was able to buck the trends/numbers and make such vast improvements in his game. He was finally receiving the training and development most other blue chip QBs received while they were in high school and college. When he came in, he was so raw he hadnt even reached his FLOOR yet. That is the big difference between him and the other "project" QBs that come out of bigger programs and never make it.
  15. thank GOD. Could you imagine if we missed in 2018 after having had the pick for Mahomes? That would have been some classic Bills *****. All hail McBeane.
  16. "HaRd KnOcKs WiLl Be A dIsTrAcTiOn!"
  17. With Allen & Mahomes, it's even more interesting when you throw in the wrinkle that it was the BILLS who graciously traded out of the #10 spot so KC could pick Mahomes, and then took Allen the next year. Tying the two QBS and the two teams together at an even deeper level. Will make for a great intro in the inevitable 30 for 30 about these HoF careers.
  18. Maybe. But the Jets have had a long string of early pick DLs who flounder, then play well in their contract year, then burn out or get moved. We'll see if Williams can sustain this performance through this year, and/or through a couple of seasons. Wilkerson, Ellis, Coples, Richardson, Leonard Williams, Quinnen Williams.... The team seems to be on a better track now, I'll give them that.
  19. oh my god the saltiness in there.
  20. Are you talking about posting images? If so, just upload your imgs/jpgs to imgur.com and then paste the direct links here. No limit at that point since the hosting is happening elsewhere. Hook this stuff up to my veeeeeeeeins!
  21. I could see Jackson getting it. It would make sense and follow McD's MO of bringing rookies along slowly. Now that yall mention it, I think I believe it will be Jackson and White. And agreed they ease White back in on rotation. I dont have fancy stats to back it up. I just have a feeling that as long as he is playing well enough, they'll want to give Elam the snaps and experience. End of the day, there really isnt a wrong choice for the staff. Definitely good problem to have! edit: wrt Miller. First off, how dare you 🤣 Secondly, I'll chalk it up to all things happen for a reason. If we had drafted Miller back then, it's probably likely that he isnt on the Bills anymore at this point and not part of this historic team. Also, likely we may have won a couple more games that may have knocked us out of the running to snag Josh. Lastly, Miller is too small to compete with NFL Tackles and will never be good in this league! To this point, I think we're seeing a bit of the "Levi Wallace Effect" on Elam. That being: this Defense is designed to push passes to the #2 DB. It is partly why we saw Wallace being "picked on" or having so many passes thrown his way. Frazier schemes to force the QB to make his read to a certain player or part of the field. That is usually toward our #2DB where they have Safety and/or LB help. Obviously, Elam has a lot of growing and developing to do as well. But I'm not judging him too harshly on that game yet. We still only gave up 3 points, and that pick was in the end zone.
  22. Thick, or in this case thiccc, is a good thing.
  23. Not saying he or Benford arent playing well. I just think the coaches' choice is pretty clear. Unless Elam's performance falls off a cliff, they'll have him in there because they want him in there. Now, McD and crew are usually good about playing the better performers, but I dont think there is that much difference to warrant a change of plan at this point.
