  1. Just a guess... Those safeties, Hamlin and Johnson, have been on the roster for a few seasons and it was expected that they were being coached up to be able to step right in when Hyde and Poyer aged out. Hamlin did "just ok" as long as he had Poyer telling him what to do and even then was shakey, and Johnson was complete garbage. They were not nearly as developed or ready as anyone hoped. I dunno. 🤷‍♂️
  2. He's the coworker who is the boss's son. Literally how he has managed to fail his way up for this long. He is the poster child for the Rooney Rule.
  3. HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH *wheeze* HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH
  4. If it was such a fluky "perfect shot" and not a preexisting condition, then I could see the possibility. Especially with him being only 24 and in good shape prior. That Premier League soccer player came back like 200 days later. Not an exact comparison, but a decent example. Fingers crossed that it's 50/50.
  5. Not just here. Across the entire country with fans and media. But devastating injuries to major vet starters will expose things. Even if unfairly.
  6. Jets draft positions: 2022 - #4, #10, #26, #36 2021 - #2, #14, #34 2019 - #3, etc... If you want to suffer through 4 years of ineptitude and incompetence in order to get Beane those sweet top draft picks, then go for it. Totally different world picking in the Top 5 every year vs being a winning team and picking in the 20s every year. But something tells me if this is how folks are reacting after 3 years of double-digit wins and deep playoff runs, then theyd be burning down One Bills Drive before Beane got his second draft of Top 5 picks.
  7. I had said OL, OL, WR, OL, but it ultimately depends on the players available at each pick. But we need at least 2-3 OL and 2 WRs out of this draft, with a top priority on OL.
  8. Beane has never shied away from accountability. I dont care what Donte Whitner has to say about his interpretation of a sound bite. But more so, you're taking this banter way too seriously. Again, might be a sign to take a breather. Emotions are HIIIIIIIGH this week.
  9. 1. I think Singletary comes back cheap. The RB Free Agency market is loaded, and prices are coming down by the minute. And if not, I like Cook (and Hines). Cook was a draft pick, and Hines was acquired with another drafted RB. No loss there either way. 2. Definite need. Has been for 2-3 seasons. Inexcusable to not address. 3. I'm not giving up on Brown, yet. 4. Agreed, Shakir needs a chance at a promotion, AND we need to draft WR early. 5. DT. If we're bringing everyone back and Jones is healthy, I dont see too bad a hole there. 6. I think we do pay Edmunds. We'll see. 7. Safeties will be Hyde & Hamlin. We had drafted Hamlin and Johnson to replace Hyde and Poyer. As we found this year, Johnson aint it, but Hamlin wasnt too bad in his first year getting real reps. I know we're all disappointed right now and feeling bad, and Beane certainly has his work cut out for him, but I don't see so many glaring holes that they can't be addressed. Go all Offense in the draft (OL, OL, WR, OL,...), sign a couple guys, and let's roll.
  10. That wasnt the topic. Unless Whitner mentioned which OL he wanted to draft last year. How genius of him to sit there and critique in hindsight when the team is down. But I'll note your vote for Donte Whitner for GM. For the record, I will always trust in Brandon Beane over Donte Whitner when it comes to team building. Or pretty much anything.
  11. Maybe take a break during this extra-emotional week when you find yourself agreeing with Donte Whitner on how to be a GM. I'll stick with Beane.
  12. If we stuck to discussing players all offseason that would be a huge step up from the usual topics that dominate between Feb and June.
  13. You saw a screen?!? Gonna need a link because I dont even remember us attempting one. Screens, slants, etc dont exist to Dorsey/Allen. The best way to beat a blitz and slow down a pass rush is to hold the ball for 5 seconds while you wait for plays to develop 40 yards downfield.
  14. Because that was pretty much his plan when he went all-in for this season. And then we got bit by the injury bug. We swung for the fences and fouled the ball right into our own cup. Beane has his work cut out for him this offseason. I'm sure he realizes it too.
  15. Pretty sure the last time the Bengals lost two SBs in a row, good things for the Bills followed close behind.
  16. One of the only Bills that brings the right attitude to the playing field.
  17. Cmon, just trade our bad guys for great players at the same position. IT'S THAT EASY!
  18. No thanks. We dont call enough run plays, and the runs we do call are poorly designed and timed. Not worth the money to sign a big name RB and not use him. Frankly, between Allen, Cook, and being able to re-sign Singletary super cheap, we have all the RBs we need. Throw in Hines too. And we dont use any of them as we should as it is.
  19. BOB will be an upgrade over Patricia, but they still have McCorkle so I'm not worried about it. I dont think BOB would have been a good fit in Buffalo, personality-wise. He's pretty much a huge ahole. Not sure how Josh and Diggs and the guys would mesh with that. Or even McD. And it's not like he is this standout offensive guru that makes it worth putting up with his personality. He's just ok, and then a dick on top of it.
  20. That's a problem if a boss doesnt trust his employees to simply do their jobs. Have to trust them. If they fail, then you go from there. But they at least need to be given the chance.
  21. We dont play Tough Guy football. We are a finesse team that is very humble and polite.
  22. Bsed on those Colts teams, that isnt much of a selling point for me.
  23. He doesnt call plays. Or at least doesnt do it well. He isnt much of an offensive "guru", as much as he is a nice leader who isnt much of a threat to Pederson (the real play caller). I wouldnt mind him as QB coach actually. Someone to help keep Josh level. But that isnt going to happen.
  24. Ha, no one is ok "the day after". Have you seen the state of the rest of the board? 🤣 It's not a flex, because there is nothing to be proud or happy about. I'll never brag about knowing the team is soft and unmotivated. The Bills, once again, came out flat against a team that was far more amped up. And they got stomped and "bullied" up and down the field. Just as unfortunately expected. I dont know what happened over the Bye, but this team lost its fire, especially on Offense. We had the fight brought to us for 3/4 of the season instead of bringing a fight to anyone. But that season is over now. We get another chance to find a fire again next year. I'm sure some "mean clapping" will get it done.
