Or just a blatant ignorance of how football works?

How did they score their 2 TDs?
-
We didnt and we won. As a matter of fact, against KC, our coaches entered a chess match that saw both teams adjust and re-scheme multiple times throughout the game. And ultimately it was our re-scheming by Frazier that secured the victory. If a weak team wants to do dumb ***** and lose themselves the game, we will let them.

Defense vs Green Bay and their performance
DrDawkinstein replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
This. It was noticeable in the quick sideline interview with LeFleur after halftime, when the reporter asked him what the team had to do to comeback in the 2nd half, he was speechless, didnt know what to say, and then gave some stammering response about taking it one play at a time. They were just trying to get out of there without getting blown out. -

Sure, we'd like to stuff those runs, but the scheme was to play the pass. 5-10 yards with the entire play happening in front of the defenders, as opposed to getting deep behind them, is a win. I dont think they were that upset either. -

Bills went up 24-7. Only chance for the Pack to come back would be through the air so Buffalo shut that down. Let the Pack run and eat the clock all they wanted while only scoring 10 2nd half points. What happened on Defense? They won the game. Maybe not 100% perfectly executed on tackling, but they still won the game. Points >>> Yards -
Bills' point differential dominating through first 8 weeks
DrDawkinstein replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
+108 point differential is good, I guess. But how many rushing yards did those teams have against us? That's what really matters.- 24 replies

A lot of my friends had big money (~$500) on the game and were FURIOUS in the 4th qtr/post game. I had to stop checking my phone because they were making the victory not fun.

Dude, you are hilarious. It worked so well the Pack were down by double digits all game! What a plan! Man, did Frazier get out-schemed!
-
That, and most people had Buffalo -10.5 or -11. Which I believe is leading to a lot of the angst we are seeing today.
-
Did they win?
-
No.

The Packers were trying to get back to the bus and save some face. Essentially forfeiting without blatantly quitting. Both Rodgers and LaFleur know enough about football to know their gameplan wasnt going to get them a victory. They were merely trying to prevent an embarrassing blowout on national TV.

Well I hope we dont let them run the ball and still win by double digits, that would be horrible. -

Sure, we beat a crappy team last night, but what is going to happen when this team has to play any other of the 1st place teams????? -

Because then that opens the backend for the deep pass and all of a sudden they are quickly back into the game. If a team down by 3 scores wants to run the ball between the 20s, then you let them do that all day. We still tightened up and stopped them from scoring in the long run. Staying in our base Nickel was the best path. And won us the game.

Like who? Like the Chiefs? Like against the defending SB champs? Like against the Ravens? How many 2021 playoff teams do we need to beat for you to Bill-ieve? -

I was calling for that replay too. Reminded me of him and Josh going at Ramsey earlier this year. I was going to be fine taking a taunting penalty there as well, but I do think the WRs let Alexander get way too into their heads. -

This game was also 2 unusual Josh decisions away from the Bills winning by 24 points. Could play that what if game all day. Bills were in control of the game from start to finish and won by 10 points. The Pack continuing to run in the 2nd half was them essentially forfeiting and still saving face. Eat the clock, and get back to the plane. Our defense played it exactly as they should. Dont get baited into stacking the box or creeping up and allowing the quick scoring long play behind you. The game was never even in doubt. We owned it from the 1st stalled Packers drive.
