  1. LOL. Source: I feel it in my plums
  2. I'm into it more now than ever before in my life, but I'd still consider myself a casual fan at best. I dont have a specific team, or even favorite player. But I really like how the league is run in general, as it pertains to player behavior, fairness to players, etc, so I started watching. Almost easier without having a team, same way I watch College Football. Dont have to live or die with a performance and can tune in and out as I want. I like that there is a must-see star on pretty much every team, so I can put on whatever random game is on and see someone doing something interesting.
  3. From what I was just reading, offseason tests arent random.
  4. Even with hindsight, I am still taking Deebo Samuel and AJ Brown before Metcalf. There is a LOT to second guess from every GM in the 2019 draft.
  5. FAKE
  6. Ok Counsel, you got me there. Yes, Bisciotti will cut a check for $27M for Smith (if he hasnt already). But all that matters to fans and GMs is the cap hit, not the owner's cash. Ralph aint here no more for that BS.
  7. It's exactly what I said because I was being very careful as I knew I was treading the GM line of 4th year = dead cap/no play. What is 9 + 13.5 + 22.5? Fair enough if that's your opinion. Completely valid, and I'm not a huge Edmunds fan either. I'm not staunchly against letting him walk. Point is, he only averages $20M/yr if he plays the entire contract. Which we also know is unlikely in the NFL.
  8. But the cap is what matters, and they'll have $15M to spend in year 3. And lost $15 in year 4. 4 years of cap hits.
  9. They dont get hit with that $15M until year 4. So its spread out for 4 years, making it 4/$60M.
  10. No it wont. The Ravens have an out after year 3 that would make it a 4/$60 or $15M average Sure, but it will be less significant 4 years from now with the growing cap. And if Saffold is the type of guard we can sign for that money, I'd rather spend FA money on Edmunds and draft a couple Interior OL early. Like 2 in the first 3 rounds.
  11. Could be $4M with cap wizardry. Isaac Seumelo, the best FA Guard, is probably shooting for a $7M average (maybe more with how lauded the Philly line was this year). If that is who we're going to get in this fantasy then we'll need cap wizardry to get him down to $4M.
  12. Yeah, Ive been referencing Smith's deal for a while now. Check out the structure... https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/roquan-smith-25103/ Really nice setup for 3-4 years. I think we could swing that. If the question is paying Edmunds a full $20M this year, then heck no. But if his overall average is $20M with a wink wink, and he actually makes $9M and $13M... now we're talking. See the previous few posts. He isnt going to be a $20M cap hit next year or likely until 2026. More like $9M next year. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/roquan-smith-25103/
  13. Isaac Seumalo is probably the best. After that... Ben Powers or Nate Davis might be doable for $4-5M maybe. Dalton Risner maybe?
  14. He'll get a deal similar to Smith's, whether we think he deserves it or not. Smith is only making $9M this year and $13M next year, and has a good out after year 3. That would be a base salary pay cut for Edmunds (obviously made up in signing bonus for both Smith and Edmunds). Smith's deal says 5/$100M, but it's really 4/$60 if you want to play GM. Edmunds will get similar. It will say 5/$100, but unlikely it plays out like that and he'll have a low hit the next couple of seasons. Big part of why I think the Bills should bring him back as a historical Edmunds detractor. What really good guard is available for $4M next year?
  15. That valuation is as accurate as a Zillow appraisal number. Way off.
  16. That's not how contracts work tho. Re-signing Edmunds would likely reduce his cap hit from last year, from ~$13M to ~$9M, and wouldnt get to $20M until 2026.
  17. Rewatch the Vikings game and see how different our Defense looked in the 1st half vs after he went out in the 2nd half for a good example of how integral he is.
  18. Ah yes, the old "We didnt win a Championship with him, so he must not be worth keeping" line of logic that was so pervasive during the drought years. We also won 3 playoff games with him before those losses as well. I'd argue he was 1 of maybe 3 or 4 players that actually showed up to play against the Bengals. But the rest of the team ***** the bed so therefore he isnt worth keeping. Got it.
  19. Yep. The 5/$100M deal that Roquan Smith just signed has his cap hit the next two years being $9M and $13M. We paid Edmunds almost $13M last season. They can get this done.
  20. And then when our Defense falls off a cliff next year because of how integral Edmunds was, and we lose in the Wild Card round 42-38, fans can keep complaining about Frazier/McD/scheme. So it's really giving Bills fans what they want.
  21. I feel like I heard this a lot about Milano in the early part of the 2021 offseason as well, and then he signed with the Bills. I dont think Edmunds is gone yet.
  22. No it isnt. It's how the government courts still operate. Hence why no charges were brought against Araiza because the evidence wasnt there. The court of public opinion has ALWAYS been guilty once you hit the news. You can go back to the advent of newspapers for that. It's simply human nature.
  23. Gotcha, so kinda like a rookie QB in the NFL. Makes sense I guess. I dont know much about building a team in the NHL.
  24. Yes. Always. That's an easy one.
