  1. Maybe Texans should stay away if he's another one of those guys.
  2. Good points about Houston. Having the #1 pick changes things, for sure. I guess they could bring him in now to get familiar, re-sign him to a cheap deal, and have him around so the rookie isnt forced into action too quickly. The rest of that team stinks so they have a lot of building to do before any rookie QB would stand a chance of surviving. Mayfield could be that bridge, and compete. But good points.
  3. Remember, a lot of his salary was handled by Cleveland this year in order to trade him: "Mayfield’s deal, which runs through the upcoming 2022 campaign, is worth a total of $18.8 million. Of that total, the Browns have agreed to pay $10.5 million with the Panthers footing just $5 million of his base salary. The remaining $3.5 million, as agreed upon by Baker himself, has been trimmed per Mike Garofolo." So I believe, at most, teams would be on the hook for whatever little amount remains of that $5M. We're well past halfway of the season, so you're looking at like $1.5-2M tops. Probably wont sign a QB for any less than that.
  4. Does "nice" factor in "annoying" or "obnoxious"? Because if @boyst, @Royale with Cheese, and I heard "DUUUUUUVAAALLLLLLL WELCOME TO SACKSONVILLE" shouted into the back of our heads one more time, dude was about to get punched.
  5. For the Colts and Texans, I see it being more of a move for next year. See what he has, and if they want to make him an offer to extend/re-sign.
  6. He can be a good game manager, and at least give defenses more to worry about than a rookie Mr Irrelevant. SF already survived a mini-QB Controversy that fixed itself once Lance got injured. Now they have to deal with the other guy going down. They have to bring someone in to backup Purdy at the very least. I think their locker room could manage dealing with bringing Mayfield in late.
  7. Classic Browns. Ruining careers since... well, pretty much forever.
  8. Because they need a QB and this is a great way to get him in the building and see where he is at, and if it works out, try to sign him to an extension before Free Agency. Even if he doesnt play much, at least the staff gets a look at him.
  9. Between who? Every team in the league on the waiver wire? Texans should take a shot at him. He's a Texas boy, and from what I saw him give to the community in Cleveland, would probably do a lot to help heal the Texans image with the fans too.
  10. I was never a Mayfield fan or believer, but it sucks to see him get done so dirty by the Browns that if effectively ruins any shot at a pro career. I'd almost feel bad, if he didnt already have millions of dollars to fall back on.
  11. So little that he is irrelevant to the conversation. Edmunds and the current market are so far beyond what Milano, the minimalist, took that it makes any comparison invalid. Milano bucked the market and settled for $10M/yr which was low even then.
  12. I see that too, and agree. It was a sweet move by Diggs to get those hands away. But when you end up shoving the player to the ground due to winning the hand fighting, youre gonna get that flag.
  13. The OPI call was legit. He pushed/threw the DB a good 3 yards. I was worried at that time because Hochuli Jr has screwed us in the past. But I think it was a pretty well-called game the rest of the way. Our first win with the Hochuli Jr crew.
  14. I'd love to get him for under $15M/yr but that is just wishful thinking. I think his open market value is $18-20M/yr, so I'll be happy if he takes a team-friendly deal at like $16M/yr.
  15. I would personally get more enjoyment from the Dolphins loss, but we have the ability to give the Dolphins another loss ourselves. We need outside forces to help us with the Chiefs, so for that alone, I voted Chiefs.
  16. I was just about to ask if the mods could pin a 49ers/Dolphin thread. That one should be a better game, and more meaningful to us.
  17. "I'm giving my tickets to coworkers, and going home to fight with my wife!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  18. Or your internet provider, and your neighborhood network is getting saturated during the game, and then people pause or turn off during commercials. Havent had a single blip on TNF all season here.
  19. Yeah, I cant argue with that. It isnt just Amazon tho. I feel like most games I'm yelling at the TV asking to see our TD again, or the replay of a questionable call. My wife has stepped up her football learning this year and is asking a lot of good questions during games, and most of the time when I'm like "I'll show you on the replay" and then we sit there... and it never comes... All these broadcasts are too concerned with getting in their little skits and graphics and prerecorded fluff pieces, we see so little of the game. For what it's worth, the game reply is about to start on NFLN in 13 minutes (3pm), so I guess I'll check it out there.
  20. Social Media team with another god tier ***** post
  21. They showed a lot of Patricia last night. As he was struggling to call plays. As his starting QB was yelling at him to throw the ball. As he was clearly frustrated and befuddled on what to do next. It was glorious.
  22. The Pats were clearly blocked right into the Punter. Shouldn't be a call there, and there wasnt. Didnt need to see a replay to know that. It was an entire pile of guys (Pats and Bills) that ended up on the ground and rolling into Martin. The penalties only get called when it's an untouched player diving at the punter. If they're engaged with our blockers, it likely wont ever get called.
  23. I would just take better hands at this point. If he was catching even half his drops, we'd be rolling.
  24. All over the field and wreaking havoc in the middle while taking up 2 or 3 blockers. Bills DL dominated across the entire line.
