Jessie Pegula reveals more about Kim
DrDawkinstein replied to extrahammer's topic in The Stadium Wall
WOW, what a story. What a crazy, messed up year/season surrounding the Bills. No wonder everyone was burnt out and ready to move on. Hope the entire organization can take some time off, take a breath, and move forward into next year. -

I dont see how that has anything to do with the conversation of GMs/Owners having the guts to move on from winning Coaches. But that means someone will almost certainly try to use it to argue against me, so thanks for the heads up! -

Imagine what Charger fans must be going through this offseason. All the reasons to fire Staley, AND they wouldve been front-runners for Payton. But nah, RUN IT BACK! DO IT AGAIN! -

I dont think it was big guts to move on from Wentz. And if Pederson wanted to make a stink about it and lay his neck on the line then so be it. I give Rosen a bunch of credit, dont get me wrong. I just dont see how any of that is analogous to the Bills situation. Other than folks wanting the Bills to fire a winning HC, but without the rationale. -
You're looking at a split-second snapshot of an entire series of events through even that simple hug. Dont read too much into single pictures. This happens all the time with pictures of world leaders shaking hands and a picture blowing up because the leaders "look mad at each other", and then you watch the tape and they were all smiles, but it was the moment one was looking into the sun and the other had to sneeze or some other weird *****. Josh was exhausted. Tua probably cant even remember that moment. Moving on.

Ok, and who is the hot-handed winner on our team that needs the chance they arent getting? -
I posted this elsewhere, but check out Roquan Smith's new deal for a decent framework of what Edmunds' deal will look like. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/roquan-smith-25103/ $9M cap hit next year. Which would be a reduction for Edmunds from $12M this year. And a potential out after 3 years. And regarding roles, while Edmunds doesnt rush the passer, what he does for us in the Pass game is almost irreplaceable (and I say this as a historical Edmunds detractor) Git r dun.

The Eagles had a 3-Man QB Controversy between Wentz, Foles, and Hurts that pitted Coaches against Coaches, and Coaches against Front Office. That is the only reason they fired Pederson and revamped the coaching staff. Not some guru GM amazing foresight. -
Saw those two out there as well. To be fair to Beane, Safety wasnt a major concern last May because we had two starters in place, and two backups we had been developing for years. No one knew we'd lose both starters to injury and then only one of those backups would be worth playing, and then HE went and died on us.

There is certainly a point to be made regarding the bold as well. And while I'm not here to make excuses for players or coaches, I would bet a portion of that was due to the early ankle injury that he played through for the rest of the season. I guess my overall point is, there is a lot more to it than "Davis sucks" and we shouldnt be quick to move on. A lot of what I see IS fixable. New Bomb-Happy OC and QB putting up low percentage balls to him. Early injury affecting his route running (which also disrupts timing with Josh). AND Gabe having an off year.
-
Agreed on all that. These WR conversations are always tough because the definitions of "target", "drop", etc are always cloudy. I'm sure there are a few that are "nobody's fault, just good defense" and stuff like that. My point was to illustrate that a good chunk of Gabe's regression was on Josh and Dorsey. Not simply all on Gabe forgetting how to play WR. For all those targets, and for everyone's perception, the fact Davis is credited with only 7 drops should be an eye-opener for a lot of detractors here. Not a great year for Davis, but maybe not as bad as many think.
-
I know bashing Davis is hot right now (along with bashing anyone/everyone else from the team), but let's look at those numbers... 93 Targets 51.3% Catches (48) 7 true Drops 48 catches + 7 drops = 55 93 - 55 =38 So for all those targets, 38 of them (41%) were flat out misses by Josh. Mostly those deep, low percentage heaves that Josh just cant STOP himself from throwing when the D shows Cover 0 or Man or whatever gets him so excited. Davis could have and should have had a better year. He had some bad drops, and some bad games. But a lot of his regression was due to the leaders of the Offense (Josh and Dorsey) completely losing their way on how to take what the D gives you, keep the drive alive, and move the ball down the field. Ding ding ding. A lot of them. Meanwhile, Knox and Singletary running open underneath...

If Frazier returns, how much will your enthusism die?
DrDawkinstein replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall
Y'all make it sound like theyve never won a playoff game. Sure, there are some tough outs in there. Guess what, losing in the playoffs will always feel worse because you are over-hyped. We also have 4 playoff WINS. Holding the Ravens to 3 points. Absolutely shutting down the Patriots. I'm not a big Frazier proponent. But yall are out of your minds this offseason. -

None. Some of you mary's need to suck it up already and move on to the offseason. Get a hobby for Spring or something. The Bills are winning more now than we've seen in 25 years. We have a legit, top of the league, franchise QB. We are favorites to win the Division every year, and make a run in the playoffs. Get Von back, get Micah back, lets go.- 247 replies
