  1. No one is delaying this besides Aaron Rodgers. Everyone else involved wants this done with asap. Neither the Jets nor Packers can sign any other FAs right now until they get his contract moved and settled. They're all stuck waiting on him. And he loves it.
  2. I wonder if Green Bay has an early-retirement offer of a pile of cash to retire and get free money, and he's mulling over whether to take the retirement package or the Jets offer. Because you are right, what could be taking so long? What is there to really decide on at this point? They arent even to that point yet tho, and reportedly arent negotiating on trade package until Rodgers makes his decision to officially allow the trade.
  3. Yeah, it's just twit talk, likely all BS, but I like that bad mojo being put out there.
  4. I mean, I cant blame these guys. Rodgers, Matt Ryan last year... These guys get $50M guaranteed each year just for showing up. Why stop showing up?!
  5. Already rumblings that this delay isnt sitting well with vets in the Jets locker room. Shows a lack of commitment from Rodgers, and also preventing the Jets from signing other FAs. Not a great look to start with.
  6. I know Rodgers will ultimately go to NY, but I'll happily watch him take his time because every day he waits is another day the Jets can't sign anyone else in FA.
  7. I mean, Hackett just moved from Denver to the Jets so anything is possible at this point.
  8. Which a lot of Chiefs fans arent too thrilled about outside of the excitement of making moves on day 1 of Tampering. I'm not a big PFF guy, but for some perspective and as they pointed out on ESPN yesterday: LOST Orlando Brown - 75.8 LOST Andrew Wylie - 63.1 ADDED Jawaan Taylor - 58.7 For what it's worth, they have McGovern at 52.2 But it seems both the Chiefs and Bills OL signings were fairly comparable. We just heard of one more because theyre a higher profile position.
  9. At least we have Hyde coming back. Bengals lost both starting Safeties and only have Dax Hill there. Hyde/Benford might be doable.
  10. @Simon, please save us from this title already
  11. Not sure why you think it was that different. And if it really was, then that is even worse for Edmunds because Keuchly has far, far better pass defense numbers. Might have been a little different with different DCs, but it was largely the same role in the same scheme. I'm not happy Edmunds is gone. I think it will be a bigger hole to fill than most Bills fans are giving him credit for. But from what I've gone back and watched, he and Keuchly had the same or very similar jobs. Keuchly was just better all around. Whether defending passes, or attacking runners. Maybe it was the difference in skill that made it look like very different roles, haha.
  12. No burst, no break away speed, cant take it to the house...
  13. Because we were $16M over the cap, and now we're about $16M under the cap. Just enough to sign a couple guys and our rookies. 🤷‍♂️
  14. I just want to say, this is one of the best thread OP posts I've ever seen here. Updates, bold headlines, citations and links to other threads. Bravo, sir. A+ in Interneting today.
  15. Yeah, front loaded too? We couldnt come close to that.
  16. Not at all what anyone is arguing with that strawman. Just that the world isnt over because we only signed a project. Good things can still happen.
  17. It was actually just a back spasm so we wont count that I guess.
  18. Now Milano can knock out ALL their QBs in one game!
  19. Neither Poyer nor Hyde were starters for their previous teams.
  20. Exactly. He was a 3rd round pick out of Penn St, so not exactly a nobody. Was a backup his first 2 seasons, and then started all last year and came into his own. This is exactly when we cash in on that.
  21. LOTS of Chiefs fans see their OL the same exact way you see ours. And if you look at it from their side, they had to replace 2 OTs last year, and are now replacing those OTs again. Same holes they need to keep on plugging. They see those moves as misses, and they won the super bowl IN SPITE of their weak OL. It's just the team fan tunnel vision.
  22. Folks getting way to wrapped up with watching the Chiefs and being jealous. Watching/chasing the Chiefs for the last 3 years has gotten us no where.
  23. Because every year Miami wins the offseason. They'll become the media darlings. Everyone will be all in. Then they'll end up 9-7 at best and maybe make the wild card.
  24. What are you doing? These arent even the same account. Just the same profile pic. edit: and now not even the same profile pic!
