Peyton Hillis in critical condition
DrDawkinstein replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
This story hits quite close to home. A few years ago an old buddy took his 5 year old fishing. No one knows what exactly happened, but the 5 yr old son fell in, dad went in and saved him, but in the meantime tired himself out or had a heart attack or something, and died in the water after saving his son. The kid had to sit in the boat next to his dad's body for hours until folks noticed they were gone too long and went looking for them. Wear your life jackets at all times people. -
Playoff Solutions Assuming they don’t replay the Bengals game.

Not with that turf tho. -
The Panasonic line of Plasma tvs around 2006/2007 were some of the best tvs I'll ever experience in my life. Glad I purchased a couple back then. They lasted almost 15 years with no issues, but then had to get rid of them recently because they were just too heavy for where we wanted to put tvs, and had some minor burn-in which was my fault. But the picture quality was unlike anything I've had since, even with the advent of 4k.

The best leader in the NFL in that moment.

Playoff Solutions Assuming they don’t replay the Bengals game.

Allow me to go on record, regardless of situation, I am totally fine with any "asterisk" any outsider wants to place on a Bills Super Bowl victory. No asterisk in previous history matters or gets discussed outside of us message board nerds. They dont matter. I'll take it. Thank you for coming to my ted talk. -
Part of that is on the Bills for allowing teams to physically bully them like this, week in and week out. We're so "humble". Bengals came out fired up and ready to play hard and hit through the whistle. There are ways to prevent that but it takes a change in mindset. Dont have to be "dirty", but need to be ready to live on that edge. JP and Shaq sometimes get there. Diggs can get there but tough to set a team tone from the WR spot. Maybe Spencer Brown can get that hyped but he's too busy learning how to play his position. That's about it on this team. Incognito and Brandon Spikes used to be those dudes too. Feliciano a bit.

There's a lot of love between Cinci and Buffalo right now, so focus on that and the real reason you're here. Coming in here to die on this hill probably isnt good for anyone. Even if you truly believe we are wrong, no one has the pitchforks out for the Bengals, just let it go.
-
He literally stopped rolling for a half second, saw where Allen was, and then rolled into him. Saw it in real time and was just as dirty. GTFO here with this homer bs It was absolutely a purposely dirty play. The Taron Johnson play, whatever. The Hamlin play, not dirty. The Hendrickson play was absolutely dirty.
-
I dont think Higgins' hit was dirty. I think the Bengals came to play hard, and Higgins took it to the Defense instead of letting the D hit him. The other plays were dirty, especially the roll into Josh. Again, not the first time the Bills have let this happen. We consistently get physically pushed around and beaten up.
-
Yeah, the Bengals came out fired up, as predicted by their pre-game trash talking, and were putting it to the Bills. Once again, we have an opponent show up more fired up to play than the "humble" (read:soft) Bills. The Bengals came out into arguably the biggest game of the year and played with swagger and a hard edge, bordering on dirty and sometimes crossing over into it (the roll into Josh). Sure would be nice to see McD get his team frothing at the mouth like a pack of wild dogs for once instead of coming out flat, getting pushed around, beaten up, and having to play from behind again. Agreed. ALL of that is true. I think it comes down to Cinci playing with an edge. As the saying goes, "You dont want to injure your opponent, but you do want to hurt them". Hit them hard (cleanly) and inflict some pain. Cinci was playing hard and doing just that, with some borderline dirty play. But hey, that's football. I dont fault them for most of it (except the roll into Josh). Play hard, hit hard. Bills need to learn how to be the bully once in a while too.

The same way the team pulled through when Kevin Everett was paralyzed on the opening kickoff, and finished that game and played the whole season. The same way the Steelers pulled through when Shazier was paralyzed on the field. Especially now that he is in stable (yet still critical) condition. I think we'll see some players leave the game. Hearing lots of chatter about Tre retiring (which might be best for everyone). But its all just chatter at this point. -

There's no way they can rescheduling anything or move the playoff/Super Bowl schedule around. If anything, the Bills and Bengals eat this game. Either as a tie, or they just play a 16 game schedule and standing is determined by Win %. Assuming we all win out next week, gives us: 1 KC 2 Buffalo 3 Cincy Which at this point, I'm fine with. Better than a loss last night. And KC's D is so sus, they could go out round 2 and AFC Champ still goes through Buffalo. Assuming we survive Round 2, these injuries tho... -
The Jets Organization deserves to go up more than Wilson. Wilson was simply way over-drafted. Sooo many people knew right away that he'd never cut it. There were practically no real expectations. Most "big busts" have some sort of expectation that goes along with it, making their busts even bigger. The organization that has recently "busted" on Geno Smith, Sam Darnold, and now Zach Wilson deserves far more of the blame than any of these players. I guess what I'm saying is, ***** THE JETS!

2023 Draft - Offensive Line discussion

Pretty much every IOL taken in the first two rounds of the last two drafts would be starting for us right now. Beane just needs to pull the trigger. -
2023 Draft - Offensive Line discussion
DrDawkinstein replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Never too early to talk draft. The scouts and GM are definitely talking about it, and we aint players. We need another Wood/Levitre draft. Go Interior back to back, just like Beane did with DE. Then snag a couple WRs. The draft should be totally Offense.- 90 replies

He's a dork who I want to shove into a locker, but... I gotta at least say he is preforming WAY better than I thought he would. The team is light years ahead of the Flores teams, and he is getting the best out of Tua. We'll see how long that lasts. I'm assuming he'll get figured out next year. 🤞

12/17/22 Week 15 Gameday Bills vs Dolphins PreGame Thread
DrDawkinstein replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have no idea how theyre going to pull off having this game, but props to all the workers and fans making it happen! Stay warm, stay safe, GO BILLS! -
If it wasnt for him coaching a bitter rival and all the bull#### stuff they pulled to "win", I'd love me some Belichick. He's a football mastermind, and his type of dry humor is right up my alley. More great stories about his sense of humor here: https://theathletic.com/2889665/2021/10/29/its-fun-at-gunpoint-the-comedy-stylings-of-bill-belichick/

Jerry Sullivan crosses the line. Comments against women.
DrDawkinstein replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Meh. Sounds like a snoozer about stuff we already know and moved on from. I feel like simply going through the TSW archive from those years could get you the same thing, probably with better commentary. If you want to wallow in those years for some reason, do what you need to do. But I doubt much of the fanbase wants to rehash that time when we have such a great team with a bright future to focus on right now. Sully is officially washed up. His next move should be writing scotch or wine reviews for the local pennysaver. -

What could Sully possibly tell us about the drought years that he hasnt annoyingly whined about already or we dont already know? "Ralph was cheap, and Russ Brandon was a womanizing scumbag". Wow, great headlines for 2008. -
Better to have it and take it off, than need it and not have it. Plus, you got a lot of time outside to tailgate, or just on the walk in. Layer like crazy.
