Williams is pretty good. I think the switch was more due to the talent available to add being at LT, and tougher to convince a FA to sign and make a switch to RT than to just move the guy already on your roster and under contract, then any major downfall of Williams. I don't think he's All Pro, and we're still only talking a small handful of guys from a perennial Championship program. But still.

Jonah Williams is the main one that comes to mind. Landon Dickerson is still young but has played well for the Eagles so far. That's about it tho. edit: Cam Robinson is decent and now back from suspension. Forgot about him.

I'm sure if we've all noticed it, the coaches have definitely seen it on film. If they haven't changed or corrected it, then I assume it's no big deal or even by design.

We definitely deserve a little spoiling after finally getting out of that abusive relationship. I get what you mean, but funny enough, having Josh and knowing we are relevant and perennial contenders has actually managed to return my fanhood I had as a kid back in the 80s and 90s. The pettiness and bitterness of the drought era has faded, and I can even enjoy watching stuff about other good teams without having to feel like "when is it OUR turn? 😤". So while no one holds a candle to watching Josh, he's also managed to make football in general much more enjoyable.

I love that the options for why Elam hasnt been active are: McDermott has a personal vendetta against him Elam is on drugs Those are the only choices. Couldnt be that he's just been slow to develop considering his skill set was not in line with our scheme.

I'm honestly a bit shocked. I posted upthread that I was interested in following/discussing Edmunds into the future. That was because I figured we'd see some plateauing or even a bit of development, and there's still be some healthy debate about what he is vs what he could be. But this drop off a cliff is killing any real discussion and going to put this topic to rest far quicker than I expected. It's going to be a few more weeks of seeming like we're kicking him when he's down (even though its his own play and own coaches doing that to him), and then it wont be fun anymore. At least Tremaine got paid I guess. I'd let you all talk ***** about me here for $50M+.

I. Was. Wrong. My apologies to McDermott. Turns out the answer was just firing Frazier and giving Sean control of the defense. Not sure how big of a difference it would have made last year with all the ridiculousness of that season. But at least right now it seems they got it figured out.

Some players might have SOs fly out, but I dont think they stay with the team in the team hotel. They might get some time, but time is usually pretty limited as it is at home. Not sure it's even worth it. Certainly no Gulag. But it isnt the same and isnt as good. And all that gets real old, real fast. With the Super Bowl, the entire first week is pretty much a vacation, outside of media days. Point is, by the time we get to the Jags, plenty of them will be over it. To your point that they travel in style, the international flights they'll charter are stacked with those sleeper bed seats. And for those that can't sleep, I'm sure the staff doctor can help out. 😎

Look at all the guys from Buffalo Schein/Dabol brought in. The first year or two, it makes sense. And I think it's a major part of what is hampering Payton with having been out of the league for a couple years. New coaches bringing in players that are already familiar with the new coach and can set the tone in the new locker room of "Hey, give this guy a shot, I worked with him in the past and he knows his stuff" is invaluable when trying to change culture. But at THIS POINT, with McD being one of the longest tenured active coaches, and the Bills already established culture and winning, the pipeline from Carolina is just a joke. Crazy we seemingly cant/wont elsewhere.

Even before COVID, the move back in 2010 to requiring passports to get over was the first nail in the coffin and knocked it down a few pegs as it was.

You fly to Europe overnight so you can sleep on the plane, then when you land during the day you go right into it, have a regular day and then get to bed at the new normal time. Makes for a quicker adjustment. Take off at midnight for a 6 hour flight. Get 6 hours of sleep like a night's sleep. Land at 6am old time/Noon new time. Have a normal day then get to sleep.

Crazy what shoring up the interior will do to help those Tackles that are out on islands. Now granted, Brown is getting a lot of help from TEs and RBs and even bringing in a 6th OL. But even when it's just the base 5 OL, the OTs are playing better than ever before.
