Time to get off the skid tonight! Hopefully I can stay up late enough to watch. Two road games against the teams with the worst Home records in the league! Lets Go!
-
This is why I have Miami as my #2 option for where Lamar Jackson lands (after Atlanta). I can see Ross throwing a couple of 1sts at Baltimore to bring the Florida kid home.
-
We have Cook and Hines. And are already set to pay Hines a hefty salary for RB/KR. The RB FA market shouldnt be too crazy expensive. There are a lot of good RBs hitting the market, and we know the position value is already low. I also think Singletary wants to stay in Buffalo. Either bring Singletary back cheap, or roll with Cook/Hines. Or maybe Cook/Hines and a late round pick if we must. It mattered more, and the "experts" were more accurate, back when we were picking in the top 10 most of the time. This far back in the draft, it's a total crap shoot.

Why is Eric Bieniemy available as an OC?
DrDawkinstein replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd be just as surprised if Rex chose to leave his cushy ESPN gig for the grind of Assistant Coaching again. I'm assuming the interview/meeting with Payton was to help get Payton on track of what he is looking for in a DC. -
The release isnt much news as everyone knew it was coming. The news will be where he lands. I still think Seattle is an option (and likely the best fit for both sides), even with the success they've had with Geno. It does sound like Saints are most likely tho.

Why is Eric Bieniemy available as an OC?
DrDawkinstein replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not sure I would risk my future on Kyler Murray, but I get what you are saying. IMO, Baltimore would be the ideal landing spot for Bienemy. If I'm the Ravens, I try to hire Bienemy and then tell Lamar "Ok, we are going to franchise tag you this year. Come back and play under the tag for 1 year and see what the Offense looks like with Bienemy instead of Roman. And no matter what happens we will NOT tag you again." So he Jackson either proves he can flourish under a "real" offense and deserves the fully guaranteed $270-300M contract. Or puts up a stinker of a year and Baltimore moves on. And Jackson gets to hit the FA market and still end up well paid. -
So pissed the XFL got rid of my Tampa Bay Vipers. Now I have no team to cheer for.

Why is Eric Bieniemy available as an OC?
DrDawkinstein replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I see it the exact opposite. If it were just off-field stuff from decades ago, the NFL would promote him already. The NFL doesnt care about the kind of stuff Bieniemy was accused of. I think it ALL comes down to 1. Not being the play-caller, and 2. Being a bad interview. -
Why is Eric Bieniemy available as an OC?
DrDawkinstein replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
He needs to call plays on his own before he can move up to HC. So that is why he wants to leave for a lateral move and be OC again. Reid calls all the plays, and will continue to design, run, architect, and conduct the offense. So that is why the Chiefs dont care if Bieniemy moves on. -
Can you imagine being Allen last night?
DrDawkinstein replied to whorlnut's topic in The Stadium Wall
I feel like "no sacks" was more on both QBs being very mobile and good at escaping pressure than on the OLs. I saw plenty of times the QBs were scrambling and being moved around and out of the pocket. Mahomes wasn't comfortable in a clean pocket from what I saw. That being said, yes, both teams have better OLs than the Bills and we need to address it. Still chaps my ass every time I see Creed getting fired up and making plays for the Chiefs. -
Dont forget there is an Edmunds on the Steelers too! (And we could probably use him at Safety)

I'll speak for myself, Shaq, and Jordan Phillips when I say.... "BYE B!TCH!" https://www.tennesseetitans.com/news/from-the-super-bowl-titans-lt-taylor-lewan-facing-an-internal-battle-on-whether-

This is old, old news.

How do the Bills win the Super Bowl next year?
DrDawkinstein replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Score points. Hold the other teams to less points than we score. Do that like 20 times. -
Not at all my dude! I only pointed it out because we're usually in agreement on things.
-
For real, this is just week 3 of the offseason. Wait until June...
-
So sign Edmunds and go OL/WR/OL or WR/OL/OL in the draft
-
Ehh, well that's fine then. For the record, I wasnt trying to be overly argumentative with you. I was genuinely curious if there was a part of the Cap stuff I wasnt understanding correctly since it's all smoke and mirrors and rainbows and magic. I was a huge Edmunds detractor through last offseason, but if we could get him back on a long term deal structured like Smith's, then I'm all for it. Beane needs to flip his usual script (Draft Defense/FA Offense), and re-sign Edmunds and spend the draft on OL and WR. Go Bills!
-
That's Pegula's Cash that only matters to Terry. Not the Cap Hit number that affects what Beane can spend. I don't care about Pegula's cash. The Cap Hit and Dead Cap numbers are the only ones that matter.

Did you look at the detail of the Roquan deal I provided? I wouldnt say starting at $9M and $13M, and then ramping up to $27.5M at the back end is "even". Nor am I understanding what you mean by "the 3 year out will be $60M"? It would be $60M total paid over 4 years for an average of $15M/yr hit, and that last $15M hitting in year 4.
-
I'm not sure I follow what you mean there, considering we arent in the old Cash to Cap days. His first year is a Cap Hit of $9M. That is all that needs to be accounted for on the cap. Numbers laid out below.
-
He definitely has the whole Modern Journalism thing down. Post a rumor on Twitter, News picks it up and reports on the Tweet, Use that News Story on your Tweet to confirm your rumor. Profit. I'd be totally fine with matching the Roquan deal. Cheap first 2 years, reasonable 3rd year, and then you can get out. The $20M average is just the market we're going to have to get used to as fans.

Frazier: The hard FACTS on why many of us want a change.
DrDawkinstein replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
There are definitely FACTS presented. But I'm not sure it's a valid logical conclusion to say "The teams the Bills lose to have poor Offensive performances the next week, so therefore <conclusion>" Seems a bit correlation = causation at face value, but I'm still digesting that big first post.
