  1. Yeah, Ive been referencing Smith's deal for a while now. Check out the structure... https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/roquan-smith-25103/ Really nice setup for 3-4 years. I think we could swing that. If the question is paying Edmunds a full $20M this year, then heck no. But if his overall average is $20M with a wink wink, and he actually makes $9M and $13M... now we're talking. See the previous few posts. He isnt going to be a $20M cap hit next year or likely until 2026. More like $9M next year. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/roquan-smith-25103/
  2. Isaac Seumalo is probably the best. After that... Ben Powers or Nate Davis might be doable for $4-5M maybe. Dalton Risner maybe?
  3. He'll get a deal similar to Smith's, whether we think he deserves it or not. Smith is only making $9M this year and $13M next year, and has a good out after year 3. That would be a base salary pay cut for Edmunds (obviously made up in signing bonus for both Smith and Edmunds). Smith's deal says 5/$100M, but it's really 4/$60 if you want to play GM. Edmunds will get similar. It will say 5/$100, but unlikely it plays out like that and he'll have a low hit the next couple of seasons. Big part of why I think the Bills should bring him back as a historical Edmunds detractor. What really good guard is available for $4M next year?
  4. That valuation is as accurate as a Zillow appraisal number. Way off.
  5. That's not how contracts work tho. Re-signing Edmunds would likely reduce his cap hit from last year, from ~$13M to ~$9M, and wouldnt get to $20M until 2026.
  6. Rewatch the Vikings game and see how different our Defense looked in the 1st half vs after he went out in the 2nd half for a good example of how integral he is.
  7. Ah yes, the old "We didnt win a Championship with him, so he must not be worth keeping" line of logic that was so pervasive during the drought years. We also won 3 playoff games with him before those losses as well. I'd argue he was 1 of maybe 3 or 4 players that actually showed up to play against the Bengals. But the rest of the team ***** the bed so therefore he isnt worth keeping. Got it.
  8. Yep. The 5/$100M deal that Roquan Smith just signed has his cap hit the next two years being $9M and $13M. We paid Edmunds almost $13M last season. They can get this done.
  9. And then when our Defense falls off a cliff next year because of how integral Edmunds was, and we lose in the Wild Card round 42-38, fans can keep complaining about Frazier/McD/scheme. So it's really giving Bills fans what they want.
  10. I feel like I heard this a lot about Milano in the early part of the 2021 offseason as well, and then he signed with the Bills. I dont think Edmunds is gone yet.
  11. No it isnt. It's how the government courts still operate. Hence why no charges were brought against Araiza because the evidence wasnt there. The court of public opinion has ALWAYS been guilty once you hit the news. You can go back to the advent of newspapers for that. It's simply human nature.
  12. Gotcha, so kinda like a rookie QB in the NFL. Makes sense I guess. I dont know much about building a team in the NHL.
  13. Yes. Always. That's an easy one.
  14. When, in the history of the NFL, have teams been unable to cut players during camp for whatever reason they see fit? Y'all are getting too caught up in what you think is "fair" for poor Araiza and not realizing that he is just another guy that got cut in camp. Like hundreds of others every year, and thousands that came before him.
  15. This is what brought me back. I dont live and die with the Sabres like I do the Bills. I just want fun hockey and if we win it's a bonus. So much of the recent past has been boring, unwatchable, BAD hockey. Now, even when we lose the games are still fun and high scoring. At least the guys are playing decent hockey, skating fast up the ice in transition, making passes, etc. Cant wait to see these guys as older, grizzled veterans in a few years. This line of thinking kinda blows my mind. How much worse than Comrie can he really be? At this point I'd want to play him as our shot that might put us over the hump.
  16. Same ones who think "no charges" means "completely innocent". But they are masters of Bird Law.
  17. Between the source (LaCanfora) and the price ($14.5M), I'd say this is guaranteed to NOT happen.
  18. Last post was during the Cincy game, 2nd half thread. Last visited: January 27th Yeah, that makes sense. Those 5 days after the Bengals game would drive almost anyone away. Good for him, taking a break.
  19. By bucking trends, not following other teams, carving their own path, and being ahead of the curve. My point exactly.
  20. Drug use, addiction, and over-dosing are all tragic issues that could hit any of our families and loved ones. That said, the issue with the Reids is their cavalier attitude regarding the affect their behavior has on others. It would be one thing if it was contained to only ruining their own lives, but BOTH brothers had car accidents while intoxicated that seriously injured others. Garret, who OD'ed in an NFL/Eagles facility, had this to say while he was still alive: It isnt the drug addiction that I criticize Andy as a parent. It's the entitled attitude his kids have/had about it all.
  21. Oh lawd, please let them trade Mahomes for a QB more like McCorkle. 🙏
  22. As long as they arent discriminating against a protected class, then yes. It's their business. It isnt a perfect fool-proof system, but it definitely helps keep the tickets local. It absolutely keeps out the out-of-town "ticket brokers" (aka scalpers) who buy up all the tickets with bots and then jack up the resale market.
  23. What wouldnt be legal about it? Seems like you are stretching what constitutes "discrimination". "Location" isnt a protected class
  24. There is a similar (or maybe even exact) rule in place for all Season Tickets. They dont want people buying them just to resell all 8 games to outsiders. The team wants to make sure local fans who love the Bills and will attend the games get the best shot at getting tickets.
  25. That's why when I'm picking the meals for next week on HelloFresh I'm sure to sort by prep time. They have a good number of dishes every week that can really be done in 30min (or less). https://www.hellofresh.com/recipes/one-pot-chicken-sausage-chickpea-soup-6398d1982d19cd78ac09a921 That one is a classic we get every time it's available. Literally just chop 1 onion and dump everything into the pot, and it's spicy and delicious in like 20 minutes.
