  1. Possible, sure. Especially with no agent or anyone else guiding him with these business decisions. Hope he saw that recent Le'Veon Bell interview where he said holding out and sitting out was the biggest mistake of his life and he shouldve just signed the Steelers original offer. If Ravens tag him and he sits out, it's all downhill. I still think they tag him and ultimately trade him to Atlanta tho. And Arthur Blank WILL give him $275M all guaranteed. See above. I think tag and trade is what ultimately happens. Just theorizing on what else they could do. That new OC throws an interesting wrinkle in. I do disagree that he controls everything. He controls himself and whether he plays or not. But the team has options too.
  2. If I'm Baltimore, I'm tagging Lamar and telling him to come play 1 more year with the new OC, and if it goes well, I'll give him $300M all guaranteed. And if not, we'll let him hit FA and never tag him again.
  3. You would think so, but due to the predatory nature that Education Financing has taken on, a LOT of people still have major debts after working for 10, 20 years. The system is way broken. The debt is already off the federal books. Just wipe em out. I'll stop there to keep this off PPP. Congrats @Johnny Hammersticks!!
  4. You say it yourself, QB play. Can't knock him on pure stats. They dont tell the story. Our 1st wouldnt be my first offer. Just sayin, if that's what it took, I don't think there will be a rookie WR available at 27 who is just as good. My goal is to get one WR and two IOL from the first 3 rounds. If there isnt an IOL worth taking at 27, and none of the rookie WRs available look like a sure thing, we could do worse than get Jeudy.
  5. There is no smoke. There is no fire. This is just some dust being kicked up by bored analysts needing something to talk about in the doldrums of the offseason.
  6. PS players need to work year round.
  7. I dont think Bienemy gets the HC job just because he's OC when Reid retired. Heck, I think Nagy would have a better shot at it.
  8. The Falcons have put a ton of resources into acquiring, developing, and promoting Lindstrom and McGary as the anchors of their OL both drafted in the 1st round of the 2019 draft. They have the 2nd most cap space. Those guys arent leaving Atlanta.
  9. Heard Jerry Jeudy might be back on the block soon, although I'd be surprised at Payton dumping O talent. Either way, I'd trade our 1st for him.
  10. LOL. Source: I feel it in my plums
  11. I'm into it more now than ever before in my life, but I'd still consider myself a casual fan at best. I dont have a specific team, or even favorite player. But I really like how the league is run in general, as it pertains to player behavior, fairness to players, etc, so I started watching. Almost easier without having a team, same way I watch College Football. Dont have to live or die with a performance and can tune in and out as I want. I like that there is a must-see star on pretty much every team, so I can put on whatever random game is on and see someone doing something interesting.
  12. From what I was just reading, offseason tests arent random.
  13. Even with hindsight, I am still taking Deebo Samuel and AJ Brown before Metcalf. There is a LOT to second guess from every GM in the 2019 draft.
  14. FAKE
  15. Ok Counsel, you got me there. Yes, Bisciotti will cut a check for $27M for Smith (if he hasnt already). But all that matters to fans and GMs is the cap hit, not the owner's cash. Ralph aint here no more for that BS.
  16. It's exactly what I said because I was being very careful as I knew I was treading the GM line of 4th year = dead cap/no play. What is 9 + 13.5 + 22.5? Fair enough if that's your opinion. Completely valid, and I'm not a huge Edmunds fan either. I'm not staunchly against letting him walk. Point is, he only averages $20M/yr if he plays the entire contract. Which we also know is unlikely in the NFL.
  17. But the cap is what matters, and they'll have $15M to spend in year 3. And lost $15 in year 4. 4 years of cap hits.
  18. They dont get hit with that $15M until year 4. So its spread out for 4 years, making it 4/$60M.
  19. No it wont. The Ravens have an out after year 3 that would make it a 4/$60 or $15M average Sure, but it will be less significant 4 years from now with the growing cap. And if Saffold is the type of guard we can sign for that money, I'd rather spend FA money on Edmunds and draft a couple Interior OL early. Like 2 in the first 3 rounds.
  20. Could be $4M with cap wizardry. Isaac Seumelo, the best FA Guard, is probably shooting for a $7M average (maybe more with how lauded the Philly line was this year). If that is who we're going to get in this fantasy then we'll need cap wizardry to get him down to $4M.
  21. Yeah, Ive been referencing Smith's deal for a while now. Check out the structure... https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/roquan-smith-25103/ Really nice setup for 3-4 years. I think we could swing that. If the question is paying Edmunds a full $20M this year, then heck no. But if his overall average is $20M with a wink wink, and he actually makes $9M and $13M... now we're talking. See the previous few posts. He isnt going to be a $20M cap hit next year or likely until 2026. More like $9M next year. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/baltimore-ravens/roquan-smith-25103/
  22. Isaac Seumalo is probably the best. After that... Ben Powers or Nate Davis might be doable for $4-5M maybe. Dalton Risner maybe?
