  1. Just because Daboll went along with what is essentially a 2 YEAR deal does not mean he thinks Jones is a top QB. It just means he thinks Jones is the best they can do for another couple seasons.
  2. Read the previous page, the other online comments, and everything said since the Cincy game. The "fans" deserve the trolling. He's a diva because he wants to win? Because he wants the rest of the team to show the same fire he brings to the games? Cmon. Want him to be ok with losing? Nah. Want him to be ok with their level of play when its not up to the standard? Nah.
  3. Off the top of my head? There are a LOT more arguments and heated discussions going on in every game than fans are aware of. Diggs was just caught as the ONLY player caring while his team laid an egg in a playoff game. Yall are being wayyyy too sensitive about it.
  4. Favre turning this into a Barbara Streisand Effect, drawing even more attention to his misdeeds and only garnering more support for McAfee.
  5. Tell me you know nothing about older brother and patriarch Stefon Diggs without telling me you know nothing about Stefon Diggs. Dude passed up scholarships to schools like Ohio State so he could stay home in Maryland and help his family after his dad died. Playing at Maryland instead of OSU is a major factor on why he slipped to 5th round instead of likely a 1st round pick as an OSU WR, sacrificing millions of dollars up front. But he stayed and made sure his mom was ok, and his little brother stayed straight so he too could go on to college and a pro career. He has been described repeatedly as the "older brother" of the team. Josh is the leader and face of the franchise, and Diggs is the older brother who comes around and slaps you in the head when you arent pulling your weight. Bills fans absolutely suck right now. Lies and slander by a bored, toxic, entitled fan base.
  6. Diggs now, Josh next. Thats the current state of Bills Mafia right now.
  7. Yes. As a matter of fact I remember the day, posting on the board as everyone was trying to figure out how we could pay him the expected $14-15M/yr, and everyone was pissed he was going to walk. And then the tweet hit that he signed at $11M. But most of us expected he was gone.
  8. This is both a big "no duh" and also a non story since nothing is even close to official and it's just conjecture in the doldrums of the offseason. Almost sounds like the team is negotiating through the media on this one. "Expected" to lose... ok, yeah, we've all been expecting it.
  9. It could be more aggressive with any new DC calling plays and game planning. Doesnt have to be McD. And as a matter of fact, SHOULDNT need to be McD.
  10. It's looking like the best thing he can do for himself is go back to Baltimore and play under Monken and show folks he's a real QB. Oh, and maybe also play the full season uninjured, but he only has so much control over that.
  11. I guess the first meeting with Lamar's "agent" didnt go so well!
  12. Not correct. The scheme is McD's. The actual gameplan and calls during the game are on the DC.
  13. Yeah it wasnt anything as obvious as "every time you play in Miami...", but we structured it so matching would have caused them a ton of pain. Just saying we played some matching antics.
  14. I believe that was Will Wolford and the Colts. And then we did the same thing with Charles Clay and Miami. And if a team DID put a poison pill in the contract, then Baltimore just says "no thanks, I'll take those two 1sts", so there really isnt much risk for the Ravens.
  15. If Jones is terrible the next two seasons, they'll be drafting early enough to get a new QB in 2025, and likely be able to walk away from this contract with a reasonable dead cap hit. Just saying, there could be a plan. Jones outright sucking wouldnt be the worst thing. The worst thing would be playing "ok", make a Wild Card again next year but never win more than 9 games, never be bad enough to cut or get a high draft pick, but never be good enough to do anything.
  16. If it's a 4 year deal, there must be outs after year 2 (or definitely after year 3). Hey, its the going rate for a starting NFL QB, and there is a cap floor so you gotta spend it somehow. See what happens over the next couple of years.
  17. Something to keep in mind when discussing possible landing places for Lamar... For NFL contracts, at the time of signing, the guaranteed portions must be put into escrow. Meaning, whenever a contract is signed, the team owner is writing a cash check for the guaranteed amount. How many owners have $250M-300M sitting around liquid? Does Dan Snyder have $270M in cash? We know Steve Ross, Arthur Blank, and David Tepper do. Not sure about others.
  18. That's a nice wish for a fan, but not a reasonable expectation in reality.
  19. Tough to find a team that is willing to: 1. Shell out $270M fully guaranteed and 2. Part with more than 2 1sts for their troubles That's already a huge price tag. Baltimore got the guy for two 2nds. They got as much as they could out of him (1 MVP season and no playoff wins). Getting two 1sts back is pretty good, imo.
  20. ABSOLUTELY NOT to tagging Edmunds. The Franchise Tag for a LB is $20.9M. While Edmunds long term deal might average $20M/yr, it will likely be more like $9M this year and $13M next year. So you'd just be burning $12M in cap space.
  21. I thought there was a chance to use it on Knox before he signed his extension since the TE number is pretty reasonable. I dont see anywhere else it makes sense to tag anyone.
  22. Reports say they were still $100M apart while talking at the Combine last week. Which means he wants fully guaranteed, and they want a more traditional contract. So yeah, they definitely can't sign him. I dont know that I'd say he refuses to be rational, as much as he is just sitting there pointing to a picture of Deshaun Watson and his fully guaranteed contract, and the Ravens dont see it as much of a precendent as Lamar does. I understand and agree with both sides there. Good for Lamar, but that's a huge gamble for a team.
  23. Yeah, Ive been saying Atlanta or Miami since last year. And I lean towards Atlanta. Arthur Blank is already salivating at the Jackson/Vick mash-up marketing opportunities in Atlanta. And even with Carr in NO, Jackson makes them the immediate favorites in the Division. Plus, Blank has the cash, the picks, and the desire.
