You know we took a WR at 33, right?

The "Double Down" was never a given. We lost 4 WR's, signed 2, and Drafted one. We have Shorter coming off his red shirt year. And probably are going back to the veteran market (maybe).

The Double Down was ALWAYS a fan pipe dream. I've been saying it since January. We had far too many holes on Defense, and Josh can only get the ball to 1 guy each play.

I do somewhat agree but one question is how much did Diggs' presence help create opportunities and space for those other guys? It'll be interesting to see how Diggs being gone effects how defenses play us

I think we'll get a little addition by subtraction since we wont be running schemes that force the ball to Diggs even while he is the focus of the Defense.

Looks like it could be going back to the Daboll days where Josh was setting records for "Most Individual Receivers with a TD catch" and spreading the ball around.

What exactly is this team missing from the same squad that went on a winning streak and took the AFC East, AGAIN, and the number two seed?

Stef Diggs who did literally decided to do his best John Cena impression during that same stretch?

Beane has filled all the holes. He’s added WRs in Samuel and Coleman who compliment Brady’s scheme and Josh’s style of play more so than both Davis and Stefon Diggsapearing Act. I’ll assume you somehow know how to better draft and assemble a football team however that’s managed to win it’s division 4 years I’m a row and counting…

We won 6 in a row with Diggs doing nothing and Davis having multiple games of 0-0 0yds. But now we're in a down year because we didnt draft a second WR in the 5th round.

Bills would have 3 x SBs if we had Howie.

Howie would've played defense in 13 seconds?

Right like every player picked is likely to be a significant contributor, and we got better than 5th round picks in next years draft, but we didn't get speedy WR so bahumbug.

The Division is still ours. It will still be ours. The FO is NOT preparing for a down season like some folks think. We are absolutely competing for the Division and a Championship.

Honest question: how many do you think we need?

We had 4 LBs hurt at the same time last year. Can any NFL team lose their top 4 at one position group and still field a good group?

As many as we carried last year and Dodson is gone, Matakevich is gone, and Klein is likely retired. So need to re-build that depth.

I dont expect them all to be all-pro all the way down. But the roster needed bodies there.

Starters: Bernard, Milano. One was awesome last year, the other is an All-Pro

    Reserves:

-Williams. I expect him to be much better mentally in year 2. Looked very promising physically as a rookie

-Spector. Looked pretty good in spot starting duty when forced in. Should still be improving in year 3

    -That vet we signed

    -Someone I’m forgetting?

Your stance isn’t at all self-evident to me, guy.

One missed 3/4ers of the season, again. The other missed a handful of games and had us pulling AJ Klein out of an RV to start for us.

    We need LBs.

Exactly. And even if you count Williams as the backup, that isnt enough.

LB is the most violent position and they are often injured. Last year we were down to starting Dodson/Klein at the end.

    And Dodson is gone.

We could definitely use depth. And god forbid we ever need to run 3 real LBs.

Pittsburgh didn't trade for that pick. However, the 49ers did just trade two 5th round picks for the Jets' 4th round pick. And that's straight up-- as in, they didn't even give up their own 4th. And the Jets also traded away a 4th round pick for next year's 3rd from the Lions. Again, straight up. That's a normal trade value for any draft.

So your assessment of trade value is way off. It wouldn't have taken much to move up or even acquire an extra pick this round.

And there have been 7 trades this round with teams moving up or acquiring picks so there's no shortage of partners either.

    Maybe.

Maybe teams arent as willing to help out the Bills as they are the Jets. Already reported no one took our calls on the last trade up attempt.

More than WR?  C'mon man.  We got nobody to throw the ball to.

    Yes, unfortunately.

Look, there are only so many balls to go around on Offense.

    Samuel

    Coleman

    Shakir

    Kincaid

    Knox

    Cook

Anyone we draft at this point is coming in as maybe our 6th or 7th option at best. Probably wouldnt even beat out Shorter or Isabella.

Any DT or Safety we draft will see decent playing time and have opportunities to directly contribute every snap they play.

I want another WR too. Dont get me wrong. But at this point, we're likely looking at cuts not draft picks.

Did they really want Bishop? They tried trading up but he's not going to admit if it was for someone else (Bullard)

It was for Bishop, and he should have been our target over Bullard. We already have 2 Bullards on the roster with Rapp and Edwards. Needed someone to fill Hyde's role.

    We will see I guess

Absolutely. Maybe Sean Payton proves what a QB guru he is. But I've watched Nix in college for the past 15 years, and was never impressed once. He got clowned a lot down here in SEC country. Had to run away to the PAC just to get any hype.
