  1. Probably. Kiper even says as much when he mentions he is reaching for need instead of drafting BPA based on immediate ROI. The good news is, now that it's mocked, it won't happen.
  2. The Bengals OL stinks and has stunk for 3 seasons. The first of which was so bad, they got Joe B's leg broken. And their solution to that was to bring in... Quinton Spain (Bills' trash). The LT they just brought in from the Chiefs is rated about on par with Dawkins, who the Bills drafted and kept with a 2nd contract. The Chiefs fans were complaining about their OL the last 2 seasons as well. Jawaan Taylor has not played any better than Dawkins during his time on the Jags. We'll see how he does in KC. Heck, we brought in Mitch Morris from the Chiefs. It's all a big incestuous circle of NO ONE being happy with their OL. It isnt just a Bills thing. I think the only move either of those teams got over on us was the drafting of Basham over Creed Humphrey and allowing him to go to the Chiefs. I havent seen all their moves, but I'm not sure either the Bengals or Chiefs addressed their IOL like we did this Free Agency with McGovern and Edwards.
  3. Seems a pretty even distribution between Offense and Defense at the top of spending. I left out Knox, but he is right up there in the list as well. Up to our OC and Josh to use him tho. I dont disagree that I would like to see the FO focus a bit on Offense around Josh, but I dont think it is to the point that Josh should be upset or questioning anything.
  4. Right, and looking at the top of our cap spending, we have a top-3 WR, a HoF DE, AND... an All-pro CB, a LT, a Center, 2 DTs, and another top CB. Compared to other teams, all we're missing is another highly touted, highly paid WR2. So maybe one missing piece that Josh (Florio) could ask about. Doesnt seem very news worthy.
  5. I mean, even the Chiefs fan knows why this is a dumb question. Cmon, Florio/OP.
  6. Par for the course with McShay. I like that Kiper even calls him out on it in the blurb on Johnson 🤣 "What are we doing , Todd?" 🤣
  7. Addison, 21 to the Chargers Q Johnston, 26 to Cowboys D Washington, 41 to Titans. 3 picks after us: 28. Cincinnati Bengals McShay's pick: Julius Brents, CB, Kansas State 29. New Orleans Saints (from SF/MIA/DEN) Kiper's pick: Bryan Bresee, DT, Clemson 30. Philadelphia Eagles McShay's pick: Myles Murphy, DE, Clemson There's a run on OC/OG between our 27 and 59 picks, with Torrence, Avila, Tippman, and Schmitz all going in the 2nd. We picked Simpson at 27. Why would we pick another LB in the 2nd?
  8. Ah, that's why. You're supposed to watch on MSG, which I understand is a pain for cord cutters.
  9. Are you local to Buffalo? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here are the details from the ESPN mock. Kiper made all of our picks (which surprisingly I'd prefer). I'd be pretty happy if it went this way, I think. Need to go back and look at who else is available at 27. But Johnson in the 3rd seems like a huge steal. 27. Buffalo Bills Kiper's pick: Trenton Simpson, ILB, Clemson I'm breaking my rules a little bit because I don't have a first-round grade on Simpson. The Bills just don't have many starting spots open, but they need a replacement inside for Tremaine Edmunds, who signed with the Bears. Simpson could fill that need; he has the coverage traits to play on third downs. 59. Buffalo Bills Kiper's pick: Josh Downs, WR, North Carolina This is another fit I had in my two-round mock draft. Downs could fill a role as Buffalo's slot receiver. He is extremely quick. 91. Buffalo Bills Kiper's pick: Antonio Johnson, S, Texas A&M I'm surprised Johnson is still on the board. What are we doing, Todd? This is a great pick for Buffalo. Johnson played a ton of nickel corner for the Aggies, and he piled up tackles for them. For the Bills, this is a pick to get some help for their aging safeties.
  10. Great kid/guy, great story going back to the Bama days. Good for him. Jackson, lol...
  11. I dunno. That was kinda my point. I'm trying to be extra judicious in who gets assigned to the current core list. There are a BUNCH of young, valuable, promising prospects in the the Sabres system. Many of which most fans wouldnt really want to trade. Quinn, Peterka, Jost, Krebs, etc, etc. But I think any of them could be moved if it means getting the team a key piece to advance to the next level. Maybe they show something and move themselves to the core list next season, but they arent there yet, imo.
  12. Core team going forward?... Thompson Cozens Tuch Skinner Mitts Dahlin Samuelsson Power Levi Lot of other players on the team, or in the system, that I like. Big Krebs fan, for example. But anyone not listed above could be dealt if it meant getting better pieces around these guys. IMO
  13. More likely there is a new project that popped up, like needing some roof and steeple repairs, and this is just fund raising by the church to pad their coffers while attendance is declining.
  14. Might as well be named Camp Fodder
  15. Haha, I lost my ***** in round 2 when we went DT and Wypler went the very next pick to Cincy. Here in round 3, none of the OL is that impressive, and there are enough left, that we should be able to get one in round 4. But the irony of TBD going DT and S after 3 months of crying about ignoring OL sure is something.
  16. Sounds like between Freeland, Steen, Patterson, Mafi, etc, there should be some decent IOLs available in the 4th. The good news is, we can pretend we got whichever one we like the most since this draft is ending after round 3.
  17. Looks like more of a PR thing from the church doing it independently.
  18. I'd be willing to wait for the 4th and taking Atonio Mafi or Jordan Patterson there. But I cant argue against a guard at any spot.
  19. Be sure to revote for Battle, assuming he's in the lead and makes the cut, when Virgil whittles the choices down.
  20. Good point, alright, I'm sticking with Safety but switching from Joseph to Battle. Would rather have OSU/Bama than ND anyways.
  21. Going Brandon Joseph, Safety, Notre Dame. Think that is decent value at that spot, and he can learn from the old guys before they bounce. I like his size (6'1") as well. Could be the next Hyde, ballhawk guy All the Guards/IOL I liked are gone, and I dont want to take one just to take one.
  22. Mitts been a beast lately
  23. Bill Parcells moment 🤣
  24. At least as far as how the players feel. The Bills were 1 of only 6 teams that received 100% Player Confidence that current ownership is willing to invest to make upgrades. What a ways we've come.
