Suicide doesnt mean CTE. Plenty of people commit suicide without CTE. Guys have a tough time coping with life after the NFL even with working brains. It's a HUGE life change and at a relative early age. Plus, there is a history of mental illness in that family. Vernon and Vontae's youngest brother was arrested for killing someone with a hammer, and attacking other random people, and was found not fit to stand trial. https://www.cbsnews.com/sanfrancisco/news/vernon-davis-brother-found-unfit-for-trial-in-deadly-d-c-hammer-attack/ Need to completely reinstate the Mental Health Systems Act of 1980. Killing it was one of the worst things to happen to this country and a huge reason why we have the homeless and senseless killing issues we're currently faced with today.

Weird that my first thought was April Fools... Sad all around. Too early, and if no foul play, likely he did not adjust to life after football well.

The many Diggs threads and posts say otherwise.

Gunner's 2024 Mock Draft - FINAL v3.0 NOW LIVE (p.13)
DrDawkinstein replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Great job, @GunnerBill. If I'm a Broncos fan and watch them take Bo Nix then it's officially time to jump off a bridge. -
Eh, I'd say unlikely because AB has been posting stuff just like this nonstop for the past year+ and everyone has ignored it so far. I even feel dirty contributing to this thread and almost wish it wasnt on the board, so I'm just going to see my way out.
-
I cant tell if AB is funny or tragic. 99% of the time I lean tragic, but then he goes and posts something genius like this
-
Damar isnt wrong, but please keep AB away from kids

Thank god that trade didnt work out. Fans can barely handle Diggs and his postgame behavior and vague, innocuous tweets. AB wouldve torn this team (and possibly the entire city of Buffalo) apart.

What are your thoughts on the Steelers QB situation?
DrDawkinstein replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Their entire QB room is costing them $4.5M this year. Can't beat that deal for the talent level, and at that position, even if there are a lot of question marks as well. -
DeShawn Williams (DT) Expected To Sign With Bills
DrDawkinstein replied to Doc Brown's topic in The Stadium Wall
This fulfills our quota for DL named Williams. -
What is wrong with the Jacksonville Jaguars?

That just raises even more questions for me. Like not being able to fake an onside, or surprise squib, etc. But I see you have another post that addresses some of that. Thanks!

How would an onside kick attempt work?

McDermott is feeling the pressure
DrDawkinstein replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm no McDermott fan, but this post is missing a video of the press conference. -
And you will be FURIOUS about it!

Dean Blandino, Rick McKay, and Troy Vincent all say otherwise. They are initially going to address it through film review and fines before throwing flags. Sure, a blatantly obvious one that causes an injury will likely draw a flag, and rightfully so. How often do they get horse collar tackles wrong, calling them when it wasnt a horse collar? Rarely if ever?
-
It's not that it wont be enforced. It's how it will be enforced that is a little different. But we already have this in the NFL. There are plenty of hits and behavior that doesnt get flagged in the moment, but gets fined later on. And frankly, I'd rather have it that way than stopping the game and letting the refs influence the whole thing. Well if it's going to be enforced mostly through film and fines then it wont be very vulnerable to manipulation and corruption, so what more do you want? Good video for everyone wondering what and why...
-
From what I've read, and what Troy Vincent has said, the enforcement of the Hip Drop ban will NOT be done by flags and penalties, and more so via fines after the game. They plan to drive it out by hitting the players in the wallet as opposed to putting that pressure on the officials in real time.

Brandon Beane Addresses Media - NFL Annual Meeting
DrDawkinstein replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sure you can. You just sign a new deal. Bills could re-sign him for something like 2/$11M with $6M guaranteed. Cap hit could be low like $3M this year. Still save $7M on the cap from the original deal. -

True. I still hate seeing them. -

Man, NFLNetwork has been KILLING me lately with their throwback game choices! MMM today, I saw Hail Murray on the other day, and our 2019 Texans playoff loss was on last week. Looking at tomorrow's schedule, seriously wtf... -
Is drafting Diggs replacement a priority in this draft?
DrDawkinstein replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
If I'm following the Athletic mock, I'd rather they just reach at 28 for any of the WRs that got picked in their 2nd round. Even McConky over Robinson. -
