  1. Yes, this is another "Josh cant run anymore but he still kinda wants to so he has a moment of hesitation and THEN throws and it disrupts the timing of the entire thing so the guy drops the ball and we dont get the conversion and Josh should have just tucked it and picked up the 2 yards we needed" situation. It happens every game now. Coaching has managed to RUIN Josh, not make him better. If people are worried about longevity, I'd rather have classic, running Josh for 5 more years than this Josh for 10.
  2. Nah man. It's the HC's job to know. McDermott is just the DC.
  3. Bills by a Billion. The Pats STINK. ***** the Pats. Bills 31 Pats 9
  4. I'd rather they call up Isabella.
  5. I'm not saying it would happen or will happen or it would be easy. Just illustrating the point that the viewership would follow the players. You guys are really spun up on this whole thing No one is seriously arguing the bold. The whole point was the owners need players more than the players need owners. Starting a new league would be tough, but at this point, there is no reason the players/CBA dont take a larger share of the existing league now that all of the founding owners are dead/out.
  6. Cmon man, that isnt wizardry or rocket surgery. The Player's League would just hire folks to do that work, same as it is today. Stadiums would be the hardest thing to figure out right away, but USFL and XFL pulled it off. The more talented league would have an easier time catching on.
  7. They should! If the NFLPA decided they were taking all the players and starting their own league, I guarantee that would be the league you watch. Heck, if the top 100 players defected and started their own league, that would be the league we all watch. The owners bring zero value to the table. ZERO. It's all about the players. They are the reason we watch. They are the reason the league rakes in billions of dollars every year. The spite and vitriol displayed in this thread is so weird.
  8. I just meant the fact that it's being discussed more and more. Momentum is building. The League office will do its best to shut that down as quickly as possible. But the more it gets talked about, the more agents think about it, and come up with ways to pitch it, next thing you know it will become a bargaining chip in the next round of CBA negotiations. I guess I've just seen it so many times in my career in tech. Someone comes up with an idea that seems crazy. Everyone says "No way!" at first, especially those that will be most affected by it. But if there is a want, and there IS a want here, then it slowly builds. Next thing you know, it's happening. And then it's like it was always there the whole time and no big deal. I know when we were growing up, no player was ever talking about team ownership or ownership as compensation. Now they are across most of the leagues. And we've already seen a few instances of it being discussed in the NFL. All you need is that seed of thought to be planted, and it's on. Not saying it will happen quickly, but I'd bet within the next few rounds of CBA renewals you'll see it.
  9. International exposure for the NFL, is what I meant by that. And that has been priority #1 for Roger and crew for the last decade. The players will want to do it just to say they are also a Gold medal winner. Same as the Basketball players. And it will likely be stars that are aging-out of the league, not guys with their entire career ahead of them.
  10. Good question, I wonder that myself. Especially because since there are 82 games, 41 home games, the cost of Sabres season tickets can be 2-3x as much as BILLS season tickets!
  11. The NFL will have to figure out how it works into the cap, because now that the horse is out of the barn, it's only a matter of time until it really happens. To the bold, it's been established early in this thread that Williams' camp has never made such a request, and this was all BS reporting. Everyone can pump their breaks on judging him specifically.
  12. Of course they are. But the exposure and money has always topped player safety, and always will. Fans are the most dramatic about that stuff.
  13. The crazy part is, with the games not until 2028, the players who will be the hot young stars at that time are really just entering college now. Tyreek might be too old and slow by then!
  14. Nah, I dont think many people are worried about that. Players want a gold medal. NFL wants the international exposure. Funny enough, most if not all of the players on the team I named will be out of the league by the time these Olympics are held
  15. It was the one and only thing I liked about Brady. As long as he was playing, there was still a chance I could. Real question, is Milano a vocal leader? He's always seemed quiet to me. More of a lead by example guy. But I dont really know.
  16. Lamar, Tyreek, Achane, Diggs, and Jimbo Cook
  17. That's what I was looking for, but the googs wasnt helping. Thanks!
  18. Assuming the Olympics are going with the 5 on 5 format, what teams would you like to see?
  19. Looking at all the replies in here from folks that were so excited to hate on this kid...
  20. Haters gonna hate even if the report is true. I'm all for players asking for as much of the pie as they can get. The league is nothing without them.
  21. No more than any rookie really. And as a UDFA, there's nothing stopping him from signing an equivalent of a 1st round pick contract. Or more. If it was open bidding with the Vikings, Patriots, Titans, and Commanders, he could probably do pretty well. I dont think it will happen. Nor do I think he's serious about the ownership thing, if that's even true. But I do like the player/ownership talk. Good for the players. Oh I agree. It's 11pm, I'm high. This is what you get. edit: To the bold, I think if he was "serious" about getting part ownership, once he got out of the top 3 he'd drop the demand and go to any team that isnt Chicago or Arizona.
  22. Maybe it's a move to go undrafted and then he gets to be a Free Agent and have some say in where he starts his career. Might cost him some money upfront, but its all about the 2nd contract anyways. Look at Purdy.
  23. Tuesday night in the beginning of the season. I bet tomorrow and Sat games are busier.
