  1. Thanks, man. I dont even want to be banging this drum, nor am I really. I'm just responding to folks wanting to shut down any discussion of improving the coaching as if it's blasphemous to criticize McD because he was HC when we broke the drought (8 years ago). I like McD. Great man. Good HC. Would probably be exactly what the Panthers need right now. Teams like that. But when the standard is no longer "breaking the drought", but rather "maximizing our generational franchise QB to win at least 1 Championship", the requirements change.
  2. Disagree on many accounts here. The Jets Hail Mary for example. Everyone knows Rodgers loves Hail Marys. The broadcast was ready to cut to a Rodgers Hail Mary montage they expected it so much. Everyone, but Sean McDermott apparently. McDermott made the coaching decision to "defend the sidelines". McDermott made the coaching decision to only rush 3 and give them all the time to set up the bomb. McDermott made the decision to not put any tall hands players (like Hollins and Kincaid) on the field. McDermott did not put his players in the best position to succeed. And I'd argue he set them up to fail with bad situational awareness (his calling card), a bad scheme, and bad personnel decisions.
  3. It's very simple: If we exit the playoffs in or before the Divisional round this year, then I am for bringing ANYONE else in. I dont care about records and odds and past performances against Reid and Belichick. I understand the odds against winning a Super Bowl. I understand the next coach could be worse. But what we have right now isnt going to do it. My biggest concern is getting to the end of Josh Allen's career, a GENERATIONAL talent which is unlikely we EVER see again. And all we have to show for it is "13 seconds". With all your research, can you name me a Head Coach who, in year 7 or more of being paired with his Franchise QB made the proper changes and won (or even went to) a Super Bowl? Which coaches took 7+ years of their franchise QB's career to make a Super Bowl?
  4. What is worse? NOT winning a Super Bowl? With Josh on the team we arent winning less than 9-10 games even if I were the head coach. And given the state of the rest of our Division, we should have a seat at that table every year. Not being arrogant or entitled, just realistic. The Division stinks and we dont, and it's ours to lose. So the bare minimum of "making the playoffs" is pretty much a given. And then if the new coach gets bounced early, well, it didnt work out but at least we werent spinning our wheels hoping McDermott magically changes into something he is obviously not.
  5. Bad teams like the Chiefs pushing Eric Bieniemy out and replacing him with Matt Nagy? Or the 12-4 Chiefs firing their DC for Steve Spagnuolo? Good is the enemy is Great, and it has never been so well illustrated as watching everyone with Battered Bills Fan Syndrome being happy to stick with coaches out of fear that it could be worse. Yall treat every suggestion of getting better as a direct insult to the current guy. Brady has done a good job so far, I actually like him a lot. Doesnt mean we cant do better or shouldnt be looking to do so.
  6. The lawsuit to replace a phone is small claims court compared to having to pay the medical bills.
  7. Real, verified quote he posted back in like 2020. Even more interesting as he's about to fight one of those punk influencers next.
  8. I need links because I like fancy restaurants, but even at some of the more expensive restaurants in Atlanta, it's very tough for two of us to run it up that high (and we've tried hard!).
  9. Sean McDermott (ZERO appearances, 0 wins) So when we get bounced in the Divisional round this year, you'll say "Oh it was a transition year, let's keep McDermott". And then next year when we get bounced in the Divisional round you'll say "He broke the drought (8 years ago), and the next coach could be worse!"... and then before you know it, another 5 years have gone by, Josh is passed his prime, and we've wasted him on a coach who has zero situational awareness of the ability to take over a game in any way. Not good enough for me. We have a Josh. We have a window with Josh. A pretty big one considering he should have a 10-15 year career. But we are already 6 years (halfway?) through it and have zero to show except "13 seconds". I dont need the next Belichick or Andy Reid. No one ever said that, you made it up. I just need someone who can win one Championship, and McDermott has proven time and time again that he aint it. edit: I dont need the next Belichick or Reid. I just want to avoid Marvin Lewis and Marty Schottenheimer. The Divisional round is "bounced early" when you have Josh Allen and a 13-4 regular season record. We've made 1 AFC Championship and the only time we were close to going back to it, McD directly blew it with bad coaching in 13 seconds.
  10. I did. And I watched as Josh once again gave the team a 7 point lead late in the game, just for McD and his injured defense to let the Dolphins march right down and score. And then Josh had to save the day again with getting the team into FG range. What does McD being here have to do with any of that? Besides his horrible challenge flag and defensive time outs that almost sabotaged our Offense? Beane stays, and McDermott has won us just as many Super Bowls as Rex. We're not doing this. McDermott is CONSTANTLY praised for the job he did in turning the franchise around. Great job, good for him. That isnt the goal anymore. We have a stable franchise, and a top-2 player in the league at QB. And we get bounced out of the playoffs early every year due to bonehead coaching. Time to adjust your goals. McDermott is a great guy and a good coach. But the saying applies: "McD is the type of coach that can take a 3-14 team to the Wild Card round. And he also the type of coach that can take a 14-3 team to the Wild Card round"
  11. This. That punk kid is lucky he just got his phone smashed. He, like some posters here, forgot that Jason Kelce already made his money. His HoF football career is over. Sure, the broadcast stuff is nice, but it feels it's more to help him transition away from the game and keep him out of the house than it is a real career for the next 30 years. Jason had nothing to lose. And some punk is going to insult his brother to his face? DUMB
  12. The Bills, with Josh Allen, will NEVER be as bad as the Saints. No matter who is coaching. It's not even close to the same situation. We already know what McDermott is (and isnt). If he has another early playoff exit this year, it is madness to keep banging our heads on that wall instead of rolling the dice with literally anyone else.
  13. You cant lose to the Panthers and keep your job. Just not going to happen.
  14. For sure! Everyone in our family has their own wish list and we've all gotten pretty good at keeping them updated. Makes gifts very easy and there is still some element of surprise.
  15. My daughter LOVES it, and I was happy to see her have that same experience with circling items and making the list. Reminds me of the 80s for sure.
  16. They still have that. It's the Amazon holiday catalog, and they are in HIGH demand among the parents in the neighborhood because Amazon doesnt send them to everyone and it's totally random whether you get one or not...
  17. This is it. We were one Keon Coleman catch-and-score away from taking a lead and starting another blowout.
  18. That as the final TD goes right up there with this one... Josh picks up the 1st down here, lol. Dude just owns Miami.
  19. Yeah they adjusted well in the Seahawks and Titans games. That's why it was more surprising today when it never came. I might guess it has to do with Hill and Waddle, and any adjustment might open them up. Which I can buy, considering that is Miami's entire team at this point.
  20. Right on. End of the day, the beauty of it is we got Miami's absolute best and it still wasnt enough. And we're one Keon Coleman catch and TD away from it being closer to a usual blowout.
  21. Maybe. Considering McDaniel and the Dolphins is the one team McD has consistently absolutely owned over the last 5-6 years, I give him the benefit of the doubt. But maybe some 1st down run blitzes was the counter-adjustment we needed to make. Although I'm not sure how aggressive we could get in any game where Elam is forced into a starting CB role. I guess I'm mostly disappointed that our staff didnt have anything up their sleeve for that last Miami possession after Josh put us up 7. If no other time, that's when we needed to come up with a stop. And we were like warm jello out there.
  22. I honestly like the game plan because it's what we usually do against Miami, and it usually works well. It didnt today, for whatever reason, and McD/Babich didnt have answers for Miami's adjustments. That's my bigger concern.
  23. Agreed. I turned to my wife and said "Just let them score on the 1st place so we can get this over with and get the ball back in Josh's hands". Sure enough...
  24. It happened so fast there's no way McD talked to anyone. The broadcast cut to him with the flag out before any replay was shown. Absolutely ridiculous.
  25. Yes, that was the game plan. The problem was that while we dared them to run, we also allowed 8-12 yards whenever they ran it.
