  1. Plus, Johnson played at Utah, and Beane loves him some players from Utah. Git r Dun
  2. Good point. The 3rd round Comp Pick would be 2025.
  3. I agree that would likely be the best move for the franchise in a vacuum. I'm just not sure the Bears want to deal with an unhappy Tagged player who absolutely does NOT want to be there and will likely hold out and be a distraction all offseason, on top of all the other culture issues and drama they are facing as a losing team. I think they'd be very motivated to get something for him and move on. But it's also the Bears, so who knows...
  4. I can, since it is by far our biggest need, and Beane has never shied away from making double picks. At least, he better.
  5. We're about to have to draft a CB in the 1st next year anyways. Might as well get a guy who we know can play. We should also be freeing up a bunch of CB money by releasing Tre. Git r dun
  6. Saw this on reddit and it made me think of this thread. Time sure flies... We are now 24 games into the 85 total regular season games spanning the 5-year life of Deshaun Watson's record-breaking $230M guaranteed contract. In addition to $230M guaranteed, the Browns depleted their future draft capital by giving up three 1st-round picks, one 3rd-round pick, and two 4th-round picks. Watson hasn't played much due to the suspension that was expected, but also due to recent injuries. When he has played, his performance has been sub-par. The timeline below, summarizes his contribution at a high-level. 28% of the $230M contract has led to the following... Watson has played in only nine full games out of the first 24 games of his contract. 9 of 13 post-suspension. 28% of the $230M has led to the team winning only five games with Watson on the field. In Watsons 10 total games, he delivered an above league average ANY/A only two times. Thats right...aside from the fact that he hasn't played much, 80% of the time he has played, his performance was below average.
  7. yo this ***** is WILD 🤣 🤣 🤣
  8. dj khaled: and another one!
  9. oh hes feeling it alright 🤣
  10. why does the raiders oline hate jimmy g so much?
  11. Some good stuff, some weird stuff, some awkward stuff. I love it all tho. 🤣 Shnowman is having a great year. OLine been playing very well. It helps to have McGovern next to him, who is having a heck of a year himself. That block at 6:06 😳 And it always surprises me how quiet players are out on the field. Or do they cut the audio out for some parts on this? For example, that entire dance at 6:30 and not even a peep?!? I was laughing at him working the ref. Making small talk like talking to a coworker at the office while waiting for a meeting to start. "Year is really going by fast. This waether is crazy. Aaaanyways..."
  12. "House plants, they have their functions. They can be beautiful in the home. They can bring great beauty and value to a home. But the field corn: Just drop a seed in a crack of a sidewalk and it'll burrow down and come up with energy, then rise up in a stalk-like fashion and start producing." Makes sense... Everything is fine... 🤪
  13. This is my thinking as well. What 2nd round rookie DL is playing as well as Williams? I get you need to ink him to at least a 3 yr deal, which will be expensive. But it's not like we have many other DTs.
  14. While I dont agree with Colin Cowherd on much, he does have a great take on Sports Radio Callers. He calls them "The Wrong Guy". To get a call on Cowherd's show, you pretty much have to do nothing all day but try getting through, and then when you do get through, sit on hold for hours. Meaning, the type of person who gets on the air as a caller has made so many Wrong decisions in their lives that they now have nothing else to do than waste their whole day just to say one dumb opinion on a sports talk show. No job, no family, nothing else better going on. And now we have to hear their crappy opinion which is likely as well thought out as the rest of their life. When I listen to WGR, I am reminded of this take often.
  15. This is what I was expecting when we gave Tampa the ball back with 31 seconds left. The stupid camera-hungry refs throwing a flag on a bomb that was never going to be caught. We see it every week.
  16. haha i thought maybe you were just country and had a high standard for what "big yard" meant
  17. oh damn, the first Friend down. RIP
  18. I know what you mean, and I struggle to find the right adjective/description for it as well. There is a weird difference from what we are used to seeing in other places.
  19. I wont be able to watch it until we win a SB. Same with most clips from the 90s, and especially The Four Falls of Buffalo movie. Can't/Won't watch until after we win. Maybe someday.
  20. 14 points is not a safe lead in this league nowadays. Need to be at least 3 scores up with 4-5min left before you can breathe easy. Great they scored out of the gate to start the second half. Otherwise we lose. Would have been nice to get into FG range any time after that is all I'm sayin.
  21. My heart agrees with this, and that it's better for the game. I dont want robots calling Holding on every play. But man, the officiating lately has been killing me. To the point that I get frustrated seeing the refs so often even when it's against the other team. Just let them play. I think the answer is full time refs doing more group work to get calls more consistent.
  22. 3 more points, any time in the 2nd half, and the game is over. Everyone can breathe. The vibe among the fanbase is totally different. 4 drives and we couldnt even get into FG range. Yikes.
  23. Agree on everything, except the blatant PI. That happens on every Hail Mary, and it goes both ways. Refs know the Offense AND Defense are both jockeying for position. So very very unlikely they ever make that call. You simply arent going to avoid the contact on Hail Marys and luckily that is already understood.
  24. They can get better play out of lesser players, but have trouble getting players with decent pedigrees where they need to be. Every player is different, and needs different things. I'm sure plenty of the blame is on Elam. But I dont trust McD much with his early assessments. Similar to the line "Sean McDermott is the type of coach who can take a bottom-5 roster to a wild card. But also the type of coach who will take a top-5 roster to the wild card".
