Josh Allen since the KC win last season….22 TD’s and 16 INT’s.
DrDawkinstein replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bold is true, but also misleading through omission. "He had 2 INTs and 3 Fumbles for 3 total turnovers" is the most truthful/accurate statement. If all youre talking about is turnovers, sure. But if we're talking about Allen's erratic play and loose ball control, then tell the whole story. -
Are we expecting Punters to be big hitters?

To be fair, fumbles and fumbles lost are 2 different stats. And fact is, he did fumble 3 times. Even if he recovered 2 of them it's still worth mentioning because it does give detail on his ball protection. -
Allen blew the game. Of course. You definitely havent seen me argue otherwise. I dont think many (any) posters are putting it ALL on Dorsey. But there are plenty of issues to go around. Whether he called the deep shots or not. Or it's just his scheme that triggers Josh on certain looks to try those deep shots. Or Dorsey not downshifting into a running game in the 4th. Or for running a shotgun draw on 2nd and 15 in OT.

Disagree, in that, he is a lead back in today's NFL. And performed really well the first 3 quarters. But when you want to downshift and grind it out, you put in your secondary back as your "closer". Which we kinda did, but then got cutesy again.

I dont even think the Jets know where they stand right now. Depends on how a lot of other things shake out. Does AR just retire and walk away? Does he force an injury settlement? Does he try to play out his contract?
-
Hey, I have enough Bills fan experience to be able to complain about BOTH independently. Thank you very much! And I also realize that, even with Josh's issues, given the way the League and Contracts are setup, Josh will likely out-live Dorsey, McD, and even Beane on the Bills roster.

Not just a run. A draw. And not just any draw. A shotgun draw. A run that starts 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage, and has the QB turn and hand the ball to a RB who is STANDING STILL.

He has seemingly regressed to 2019/Texans Playoff Josh Allen. He is definitely NOT the same guy that spent his first 3 offseasons totally focused on improving every detail of his game. It's like he did the work to be "good enough", and then dropped it completely, even though he wasnt all the way to the promised land yet. -
I'll fully admit I've been shielding myself from Bills misery this morning by reading Jets boards. They can't even celebrate the win. Pyrrhic victory for sure. They won the battle, but lost the war (season). All those months of hype flushed in an instant. Suck it, Hard Knocks. I believe it's that the Jets now owe the Pack a 2nd instead of a 1st.

It's easier with hindsight, but the idea of firing McD and Frazier after 13 seconds, promoting Dabol, and bringing in say Jim Schwartz as DC sure looks good right now. Similar to the Falcons, when they should have fired Quinn and promoted Shanahan after the Super Bowl loss.

Literally every week since week 7 last year. It was a joke in one of my group texts this morning. "Copy and Paste from last year" "Maybe this is the loss/performance the guys need to wake them up and McD will light a fire under them" It was 12 weeks of it last year, an entire offseason, and now this... It isnt going to happen. There is no waking up or lighting fires with this team. I put that on McD. The OC wont hold him accountable because the OC would make those same decisions. That's the problem.

Cook will not break tackles. He has never been that player. It's actually really surprising seeing so many people upset about that this morning. He's a speed guy. He beats guys to the corner or to the hole. And he did that very well all last night. He will snap off big gains when we get him space like all the space Hall had to run through.
-
Yeah, tough to get into the "shouldve kept Dabol as HC" argument (which I've made myself) after he was embarassed even worse this weekend. However, I also believe he has a much better demeanor for coaching/handling Josh than Dorsey. Dorsey is too jittery, too frenetic, too always-wanting-to-take-a-deep-shot. Exact opposite of what Josh needs.
-
While Hackett was smart enough to lean into it when he saw it working for them. Is that where we're really at? Hackett is a better OC than ours? Seems so after last night...
-
Why get more weapons when we wont even use the ones we have? Cook played well. He looked exactly as I expect and want. Outran guys around the corner multiple times.
-
Because all we needed was 17 points in regulation, and instead had stalled drive after stalled drive after stalled drive. The 2nd INT should never had happened because no such play should have been called. We were slowly pounding and dinking the ball down the field. Keep at that. Grind it out. But Josh/Dorsey just cant help themselves but to take those bad deep shots. ONE field goal in the 3rd quarter and we win the game.
-
If we had 11 Diggses on Offense we'd likely be undefeated. He aint the problem. Never was.
-
That isnt his game. Did anyone think it was? Cooks game is to AVOID contact, out run it, beat it to the corner and get loose. He is NEVER going to run through someone. He never has. That has never been his game and shouldnt be expected.
-
No, not out of character. And I happily take that penalty every time. The LEAST of our worries from last night.

McD aint it
