Roseman and crew just won a Super Bowl like 5 years ago, and then completely readjusted and rebuilt with a new HC and new QB and ended up back in the Super Bowl last year. Rams sold their souls for that SB win ("F*CK THEM PICKS"), and I cant argue with the results, but they are a complete mess with a worse record than the Bills currently. Eagles and Chiefs are best in the league. Bills are right up there in top 3-5 tho.

Josh Allen James Cook Stef Diggs Shakir Kincaid Knox Dawkins McGovern Torrence Ed Oliver Rousseau Milano Bernard Taron Johnson Benford Douglas That is only replacing our elderly Safeties which we knew we would have to do no matter how this season played out. Tre White with another fluke injury ending his career. Morse is over priced Brown could be upgraded, but not necessary. So what are we really looking at as a "rebuild"? The Safeties we knew about. CB due to injury. Morse which we saw coming as well. And we havent even mentioned re-signing guys like Epenesa, D Jones, or Floyd. Sure, you could replace others, but you dont have to or need to just because you replace the coaching.

I liked Reddick and he was on my FA radar list last year, but coming out of Carolina he was no where near what he is today. Beane would have been taking another flyer on a small time FA hoping for the best. Leonard Floyd was a much better FA prospect this year than Reddick was 2 years ago. Plus, Reddick really wanted to be close to home in New Jersey. Mayyyybe we could have lured him to Buffalo since we're still north east, but we were up against that as well. For what it's worth, Floyd currently has 9.5 sacks, right ahead of Reddick with 8.5. The Eagles absolutely have the best FO and GM in the league, but ours isnt far behind.

I'll take this another direction... With a spot open in Carolina, a weak division, and team just needing to get to 9-10 wins, this would be a perfect landing spot for McD once he is fired at the end of this season.

That said, keep Reich as far away from this team as possible. Another soft, conservative coach that the game has passed by. He's the Offensive McD.

Everything they said leading up to the draft was that Reich and GM were in lockstep for wanting Young.

We're Going To The Playoffs. (edit: Updated - Super Bowl)
DrDawkinstein replied to Doc Brown's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've been hearing about this Tampa Turnaround, and how each of these losses or bad games is "just the thing" the team needs to wake them up for the past 2 years. Aint happening with McD around. Hahahaha, ok, this thread has to be sarcasm and I just missed it in the first post. -
When you have "Franchise QB" figured out, everything else can be changed on the fly. There is no need for down times, especially multi-year rebuilds, when we have Josh on the roster. Just retool and go. Bring in a new HC, new coordinators, some new players on defense and let's go. Yes, the Defense will look significantly different next year as our vets age out. That is life. Not some grand mismanagement. Out of all the players named in the original post, Von Miller is the only real issue.

Yet another choke job by the defense

3rd and 18 is our sweet spot. We LOVE giving up conversions on 3rd and 18. -

13 seconds against us in KC. 16 seconds against us by KC in Buffalo (week 7 2022) The BILLS THEMSELVES did it last year against Detroit. Got the ball with 21 seconds left. Had Josh rip ONE pass to get us into FG range, and kicked the game winner. McD just crapped his pants. Again. -

Reich is a bigger puss than McD. Hell no. -
Pitt proving our point about how inferior our coaching is. Minny proving the point that teams should hire an Offensive HC.

You are severely underestimating the egos of NFL coaches. -
Unprepared and out-coached.

DrDawkinstein replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
You are on record in this thread talking about how talented the Eagles are. Rightfully so, they have the best GM in football. The Bills had the lead through much of the game, and took them to overtime, IN SPITE OF botched calls by our coach. The talent is there. The coaching is not. What are our wins? -

Like when Gabe caught the go ahead TD with 1:50 left in the game and we just needed the Defense to get one stop? Maybe if McD grew a pair and went for it with 20 seconds left, you would've seen another Allen/Davis connection. How many times does Allen/Davis need to be perfect before the D gets a stop? Because they did it like 4 times in KC and McD blew that too. -
Sure is, but a fumble does not deserve being benched for 16 plays against a team we could gash in the run. McD being too extra because he has no real instinct on how to handle things.

He had a 10 point lead early, and left the field with the lead, twice. -
Because it's 2023 and outside of CMC (who has an obscene 193 carries) RBs dont have big games anymore because they arent a featured position anymore. His 12 carries for 109 yards (with a big 42 yarder) against the Broncos is up there with big games from RBs. Too bad the coach lost it for us in the end. Probably lost it for us in the beginning by benching Cook for way too long. He had 17 for 143 against the Raiders and was key to putting them away. The kid is the real deal, up to the coaching from here.

I think based on what we just saw mere hours ago, that is all arguable, especially the OL/DL. Seemed like the Bills dominated there way more. We had a 10 point lead a couple times. It was situational decisions that blew it. San Fran is the most talented roster in the league. Sure, I'd like their roster. Doesnt mean the Bills dont have talent to compete with the best, and should beat plenty of other lesser teams. -

The Steelers have a negative point differential, but are in the playoffs. Must be all that talent squeezing out situational wins for them. -
