-
wow yeah i had totally forgot about that there was a poison pill clause in the contract. the league outlawed it after that but didnt void the wolford deal nice memory. i would never had recalled that if you hadnt mentioned it

Former Bills not sticking with new teams
Meathead replied to I_want_2_BILL_Lieve's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah i wouldnt mind seeing reed back on the team, tho that would never happen -
every single prediction i made was exactly correct. in fact, i am always correct when i predict something. its like a magical gift, i can predict something and bam it happens. for instance, i could predict that halle berry would walk through my front door and ... oh hey baby, no im not busy ... ok sorry guys, i got to go ...

CJ Spiller Cut due to Clerical Mishap (KIDDING)
Meathead replied to ChasBB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
its a good thing you added the kidding cuz i believed it (kidding) -
yesss. this is what i was hoping for. its the best move the bills could make right now i figured they would do it this way but then i started worrying they might decide to protect 'their guy' in brown. but really, this is the smartest way - it gives them max options only a tiny tiny risk anybody is going to want to put brown on their own roster so its a good move cuz it gives them more time to find out what brohm has

Bob Matthews, Matt Leinart, and Short Memories
Meathead replied to RJ (not THAT RJ)'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i think youre being a little too hard on matthews first of all, hes not saying he wants the bills to lose hes just saying hed like to see locker here. lots of things could happen that would end up having that player drafted, not necessarily a dismal bills season secondly, it would be the biggest miracle in my bills fandom history for this squad to win even eight games. even if edwards manages to have a 'good' season there are questions and holes all over the place, such as wr2+, oline depth, and the entire front seven is bordering on disaster. this squad will give up close to the most points in the league and im not sure the offense can possibly ever be good enough to bail them out to the tune of nine wins until they are mathematically eliminated from the postseason i would not root for them to lose. but if youre not going to be in the playoffs then yes it is better to lose a few more close games than win them. what a total disaster of a season it would be if they managed to cobble together eight wins and then manage to miss out on a blue chip pick cuz they won meaningless games so sit back, relax, leave bob alone, and be happy with the four-ish wins and a potential franchise qb next spring -
The Bills Should Trade for Giants Backup Rhett Bomar***

lmao wow waylon jennings weeps -
a) he does look dramatically better. stats can lie but stats back it up and he has passed the eyeball test with flying colors esp last game 3) aside from last season trent always looked great in preseason so forgive me if i hold my breath cross my fingers and shove a four leaf clover up my butt anyway pi) if theres one thing thats giving me hope its read progressions. hes made it through the routes to seconds thirds and fourths without immediately going checkdown rho) hes also doing better at looking off receivers but not as much as id like. he still locks on too much and im worried that will get exploited once the season starts, but hes at least shortening up the amount of time he looks at one guy most of the time so there are real signs the light is finally going on for him but ive seen this kind of thing before in him and others so we just have to wait for a few games to see if its an illusion or not

pretty thin skinned there arent ya paul costa? dick cunninham? paul guidry? remi prudhomme (played both ol and dl!)? i worked for twenty years in corporate america, the last handful as an executive. do i get offended or upset when people call those kinds of people generally soulless automatons so lost in their godlike worship of money and social status that they become empty shells of people devoid of sensitivity and compassion focused on only the most superficial elements of life as they claw and scratch their way to the front of the rat race even though when they get there they will find it completely lacking in the kind of internal satisfaction they were so desperately looking for leaving them gasping for any kind of semblance of meaning in their wretched lives? heck no, cuz its usually me making those observations being under the microscope and criticized unfairly is part of the life celebs choose. sure, it would be great if people werent like that, but they are. you either deal with it, do something about it, or choose other pastures to graze in. what does saying 'hey i used to be one and you guys suck' accomplish? its like the guys around here who announce they are finished with this team and are leaving - thats cool but just go. if youre not actually going to do something to try to make it better than i dont need to hear that youre leaving people do generally suck, but celebs bring a ton of that upon themselves too. all the money (least nowadays) and attention is like a drug. and just like other addicts, celebs get fooled into thinking their status has something to do with how great they are, so usually they turn into self centered douchebags who cant relate to the average joe. same thing with corporate execs, actually. not always, of course, but enough that the people in those circle self-perpetuate the poisoning of their spiritual selves and cementing the douchebaggery among most of them thats the reason i dont buy or wear current players jerseys, because i refuse to stoke the hero worshipping sickness that entraps a great many fans and players. celebs are just people, usually (not always) attention craving messed up people, but people nonetheless. im not going to feed their addiction, nor am i gonna feed mine. i will watch, i will root, and i will pay to attend games, but i wont put the humans involved on any kind of pedestal. they really become more like two dimensional cartoon characters, which is pretty much the same impact they have on my life. if they dont want to get to know me as a person and like me for it then why would i want to make them a hero in my life? so go in peace. but next time dont announce when youre leaving. if youve really had your fill you dont need to tell everybody about it

Just think how good we'd be if Cowher had signed
Meathead replied to VABills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
well it remains to be seen how much the loss of his wife will affect his professional skills. some people rededicate themselves and flourish, some flounder, and some just move on to something else apart from that however, if he were here we would likely be in much better shape. the offense would be the same with chan and the defense would suck a lot less than its gonna but that didnt happen and its much better now that we have no dick -

Do your see a pattern here?
Meathead replied to Bleed Bills Blue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
year after year, decade after decade, you see all this **** happen in preseason, people get all worked up one way or another, and impressions are formed then the real games start and after just a few games you realize once again that preseason is a total and complete facade that tells you nothing other than who made the team and who got injured i wish there was a thread timer where you could make it pop to the top on a certain day. i would choose oct 4, the monday after game 4, then come back here and read all the accolades about how mh totally nailed it once again dont hate me cuz im pwngful bwahahahaaaa see yall on oct 4!
