  1. We're not giving up 7 million for Hutchinson. It would be great, but...no.
  2. Just for the record, I am not, nor have I ever been, Soprano.
  3. By the same token, Hamas being elected through a popular legitimate vote is going to eventually force them into other, less viloent courses of action if they have any expectation of any other government (save Iran) taking them seriously. And yes, pragmatist. I harbor no illusions that we will spread peace, brotherhood and cable TV throughout the galaxy. My only foreign policy and security concerns involve what is in the best interest for the USA, and our own citizens. If that means teaching everyone somewhere to sing Kumbaya in 3 part harmony, fine. That's great and I'd love to see it. But, if it means multiple air strikes and a naval blockade, that's fine too.
  4. Who is to say Democracy is the best way to go for all? It's happened to work for us, through a unique set of circumstances. I don't care if they are governed by any system as long as they trade fairly with us and don't blow things up, to include our other friends (which is an angle often ignored in many conversations).
  5. I just got done watching some of the Congressional "Port Hearings". Is it physically impossible for ANY of them to ask a question without making a 5 minute speech first?
  6. Did you say something? I wasn't paying any attention.
  7. Crap. Didn't catch that. I think he might have been a good pickup.
  8. I guess I'll feel less gunshy after I see some draft choices actually pan out.
  9. A cold Sam Adams, preferably draft doesn't sound bad either. I'm wary of line drafts high up, period. Ngata has downsides not worth a top money pick. If the Bills are going to go to a real live cover 2, do we really need round 1 number 8 talent as a gap rusher? The effectiveness is in the parts and the scheme. I wouldn't be stunned if the Bills picked up Rob Meier, or someone free agency that has a lot of quickness and costs peanuts. Draft choices don't mean as much today as they did a week ago. I'd like to see the Bills filling as many holes through FA and waivers as possible, with players who have already shown something in the NFL, and trade down. Exception being, I'd draft Davis if he were there.
  10. Can't be. T-Bone's never gotten any action anywhere.
  11. Not if you hurt my feelings. Wait...I don't have any... Never mind.
  12. I'm still trying to figure out why Bill thinks Harriet keeps goats under her bed.
  13. No, no I won't. One has to have a conscience to feel shame.
  14. But he can't be wrong. He just said "an agreement". The terms could well be flying to Philly on United, instead of Southwest.
  15. Even if you do have to release him, why not hang on until the last possible moment? Some other team cutting receivers could well change Mould's situation and value, giving some leverage to the Bill's management?
  16. Maybe I'm really reading into it, but I got the impression from Marv they already have their eye on somebody.
  17. True, but what does one do, work a bunch of one year contracts in the meantime at reduced rates and hope for the best? Look at Spikes, a blown achilles could make 2007 look a lot different.
  18. Why cut Moulds before Friday? Doesn't make good strategic sense. If any other receivers get cut, they could well change other teams options and outlooks. With the carnage going on, I hope EM and agents see the light, and stay put.
  19. Are there some agents peeing their pants right now?
  20. Not you too. Besides, I thought we were signing Ramsey? This is interesting. "Night of the Long Knives" throughout the NFL. There's going to be a lot of high profile guys standing outside by Friday. With the carnage going on, the number 8 pick might even become irrelevant.
