  1. I think everyone watches way too much TV. But since I only have two choices, and there is a gun to my head, I'd rather go Jessica. Do I have to talk to her?
  2. But he's right. He's seen my car. Shame about his. I'm not sure he's told the story here, so I won't go too far. Brand new car, sitting parked on the curb in front of the house and totalled by a drunk running into it. Actually twice. We were looking at it, and the damage looked like someone hit it, backed up and hit it again. Hit and run. Some days, you just can't make a nickle.
  3. And you're big enough to keep them from squirming away in pain. Works for me.
  4. Some gals appreciate the classics. It's not always the car, sometimes it's the driver.
  5. Where'd he go, anyway? You guys hang.
  6. And by your own admission, who told you what to read? I just happened to be pulling it up the same time as you. you read it and went "duh" When I spoon fed you the info, you became knowledgeable. Whatever And it's a !@#$ing folding shovel.
  7. I've seen yours too. They give you a new estimate yet?
  8. You're nothing if not consistent, but I love ya anyway.
  9. Being the !@#$ stick in the mud I am, you should read the DOD AA for Katrina. I'm surprised they don't walk down the street flogging themselves. And as far as I know, things would have been incredibly much more miserable there had they not jumped in.
  10. Just semi manipulative. How else can a 49 year old guy date 23 year old women?
  11. You did? Well, excuse my post. I noticed that after I said sign Hope in free agency, you started a thread there too. And BTW, it's a !@#$ing folding shovel. Not a "Battle Axe" with shovel like qualities.
  12. Wasn't an easy search. The agreement part was easy enough to find, it was tracking the sidebars. Lori, in her contract year debut, filled in the missing piece. I'd bring up the thought of all this talk about the CBA vs. how many people have actually read it that have commented, but I'm one of those vile PPP posters that just attacks everyone for no reason but electronic blood lust. Posting the first thought that pops into one's head and forcing discussion without any factual basis works much better here. If it doesn't work in one thread, toss it into another. Not aimed at you sfldave1, just an opinionated observation. It's all in fun anyway, which makes me wonder why since there is just about nothing posted on any fan board that has any impact, so many people are against fun. Nice move by Scooter to realize that. Fun topic, Scott.
  13. You weren't listening to much music in the early 70's were you?
  14. Not true. You admitted not having a few obscure facts off the top of your head about a minor flank skirmish during the Battle of Crecy, once. So what's with this false humility?
  15. Thanks. I'll add this to my "policy" favorites. I don't have any folders labeled "Lost" or "American Idol" because I'm a lame old stick in the mud that doesn't understand fun.
  16. Just mine, as far as I know. Headphones don't help.
  17. Lobby Reform Hearings One has to more or less sift through. No transcripts. But some very interesting discussion. It's not "American Idol", but maybe can be digested in small doses.
  18. Fire all of them, well most of them and clean house. I was listening to a Dem Congresman yesterday on a CSPAN radio. They were discussing lobbying. He had some good stuff to say, especially about the current legislative process. I'll see if I can find some linkage.
  19. ? When one sees pictures like this, one has to wonder a bit. "Everybody" was "woefully inadequate". Whatever. This photo still bugs the crap out of me.
  20. I'm surprised no one's gone after PPP, but truthfully the bench isn't real deep there.
  21. waivers? Section 1. Release: (a) Whenever a player who has finished the season in which his fourth year of credited service has been earned under the Bert Bell/Pete Rozelle Plan is placed on waivers between February 1 and the trading deadline, his contract will be considered terminated and the player will be completely free at any time thereafter to negotiate and sign a Player Contract with any Club, and any Club shall be completely free to negotiate and sign a Player Contract with such player, without penalty or restriction, including, but not limited to, Draft Choice Compensation between Clubs or First Refusal Rights of any kind, or any signing period. If the waivers occur after that time, the player’s Player Contract will be subject to the waiver system and may be awarded to a claiming Club. However, if such player is claimed and awarded, he shall have the option to declare himself an Unrestricted Free Agent at the end of the League Year in question if he has a no-trade clause in his Player Contract. If such player does not have a no-trade clause and the Player Contract being awarded through waivers covers more than one additional season, the player shall have the right to declare himself an Unrestricted Free Agent as set forth above at the end of the League Year following the League Year in which he is waived and awarded. (b) Whenever a player who has finished less than the season in which his fourth year of credited service has been earned under the Bert Bell/Pete Rozelle Plan is placed on waivers, the player’s Player Contract will be subject to the waiver system and may be awarded to a claiming Club.
  22. If it is, is it done to protect the FA's already declared?
  23. Don't worry. He's going to have a meltdown in the "signing the cut player" thing.
  24. Aw sh--. I just got off the phone with the Calcutta franchise. I have to post out of a Discover Card call center? Thanks loads, "Agent Thailog". I wasn't even on the original cut list. Here, free up some cap space. UFA
