  1. Oh, don't get me wrong. Get all you can for him.
  2. There are too many laws. That being the case, I'm all for following the spirit of them. As for following the letter, it ALWAYS means an ulterior motive or agenda. People only follow the letter of the law when they can use it against someone. Either that, or they are Barney Fife. Which is also a good example of what I'm talking about. Think about it.
  3. In a less cantankerous manner, I have to agree. I might not have the volumes of football knowledge most here do, but if EM had a quarterback he could synch with, and hope of a championship in the next three years, I think something would have worked out. He probably doesn't have a lot of seasons left. Man has/had talent. With a different scenario he'd be a HOF candidate. Not going to happen now. Probably plays on his mind. How many years of mediocrity should someone who has maybe a max of a 15 year career put up with? Good luck, Eric, where ever you go. Last man from the good old days.
  4. That's actually one of the more sensible things I've heard out of anyone yet. I'm guessing here, but I suspect that there are some technological things going on that make the law as it stands difficult to comply with. What is wrong with adjusting the laws to fit the capabilities?
  5. Principles? How many "illegal" things do you think are going on at any given moment within the government, police departments, private businesses, zoo keepers conventions, railroad stations, etc. ? Why pick on this one?
  6. He's never going to "walk" walk. His admission to being an AQ terrorist training for an attack mission on the White House is enough to prevent that from happening.
  7. Something else not discussed is that it isn't exactly safe to be allied with us. This is offset by having relationships with what we consider to be nefarious characters. But, if they (or anyone) has dealings with people not on our "A" list, they need to tossed into the dung heap. Where is the expose on Saudi Arabia'a relationships with Iran? How about Egypt and Syria? Let's just sh-- can the whole nine yards, and put the money into fire trucks and an army of container inspectors. Anyone with any sense about things knows that will keep America safe.
  8. Then what is it about? You and I both know that no one is wasting resources to monitor what Joe average has to say to Jane Tootsnoot.
  9. Has anyone come up with a 2006 definition of what "war" is? Maybe a small point, but since that is where a lot hinges, maybe it should be qualified.
  10. Sounds like one of them there west coast trials.
  11. I also get the sense that there aren't any American companies out there who even want the work. To get rid of the big shipping players (that our guys joint venture with) there is probably going to have to be some government subsidy so they don't go south financially.
  12. I'm still figuring out where the bug boy came up with hypochritical racist democrat. I have no idea if the guy was democrat, republican or baby moose molester. I'm still having to shake my head that so many are still pushing this line. I can't for the life of me see how it's not going to rear up and bite them.
  13. It probably isn't on the internet. A panel of talking heads on some FOX thing at about 4:30 AM.
  14. I always had a thing for Serena. I was so disappointed to find out she was gay.
  15. So. You have something to hide? Maybe the good part is is that a few less 50 year olds are chatting with 14 year old girls.
  16. Don't bother, just Google. If anyone really feels like they have a private life, I have a bridge over the Potomac.
  17. Mistrial? Ironically, as an aside, he proved to be too stupid and uncoordinated to fly an airplane.
  18. Got to agree there. Still haven't figured out the criteria for picking and choosing what genocidal idiots we are supposed to take out.
  19. That's sort of my point. Grandfather clause? The expedient thing to do would be to remove the ammendment, and let it die. I don't know if that can even be done. They seem to have painted themselves into a corner. Oh, there are several layers to COSCO's operations, but it's owned actually by the Chinese military, if I'm not mistaken. Now how's THAT for a good idea?
  20. Smokescreen. COSCO is owned by the Chinese government. I don't see any distinction between the UAE owning DPW and China owning COSCO. In fact, as the family pretty well IS the government in Dubai, it's actually less sinister from that regard.
  21. Not worth the money if operating single handed.
  22. Once it dies down, we'll be back discussing steroids or video games. This should be grounds for a few more letters or emails. Or could it be, our representatives are misleading us again?
