  1. I'm still waiting for the race card to get played. Elections are getting closer. Oh wait...that might not pan out too good this time.
  2. If it breathes and can be gotten to hold still, it's hot to you. Oh wait...that's me... But yeah, you too.
  3. I think more of us agree than just you two. Western NYS is not a place you move to, it's a place you move from.
  4. How many Virginias are they building? I thought there was only going to be a pretty small amount. So, they are just reassigning/recoding the slots from ships coming out of the line then. I also thought the Navy wanted to really ramp up brown water capability, which makes sense. I'm pretty sure the Air Force is getting about a zillion more C-130's they don't want either. What hurts is that there a lot of things in DOD that really need funding, that are not supported as well as they should be. But, Congress Critters don't have any stake in operational funding, other than bases. Just toys.
  5. How can you get six ships without also increasing manpower? I thought manpower ceilings on the services were not in the defense budget, per se.
  6. So, how do you compensate? 400 degrees and about 15 minutes with partly frozen?
  7. I was always partial to: It says everything.
  8. Play what game? The bags hold a lot of ice, scotch and explosives.
  9. Snakes on a plane 4. The Mongoose Returns. Working for Boeing. Sort of a Van Dam thing, with a chirpy squeak.
  10. Yeah, Paris definitely sucks. Even Olivier left. He's a terrorist, now.Gotta watch them there French terrorists.
  11. Glad it doesn't bother you what either of us think. Greece is actually pretty cool. If you know the right people. I need a change. I'm mostly talking to myself, not you.
  12. Cool. I'd like to hear it. That stuff is interesting to me. I'm a science fan too. Very much.
  13. Getting antsy? That happens. Sometimes we all need a change. I'm looking at Southern France, for a while. My conservative friends would call me a traitor. Those nasty French people suck. Got a line on southern Greece too, through a Polish connection believe it or not. Nobody is bitching about them yet. Better watch out for them Polish people. They might want to run our ports or something. Us Polacks are pretty savvy.
  14. That, I agree with. Within a week or so anyway. Actually, since we're civilized now, one appeal or review, whatever the legal mumbo jumbo is. Just to be fair. Then kill them. I'm one of those who believes not very many innocent people go up against a death penalty conviction. But, give them one shot to prove wrong. That's more than fair, isn't it? But, in spite of the sentiment, this isn't a death penalty case, is it? Just disgusting. 18 months? How can anyone be sexually gratified through a baby? Someone has a 21st Century answer, but damn...that's just wrong. Really wrong.
  15. Buffalo? for food? Not a lot going on in Sasquatch, Oregon, is there?
  16. I see Tom Jessup got his tractor working again. I'm glad, he's got a few stumps to pull.
  17. Duh? Hot oil? Who would have thought? I still prefer the pre-salting method to get crispy plus tender. I'm not making jerkey.
  18. Oh, blow me Mickey. You know better than any of that. You the voice of reason here or something?
  19. This should really be on the Discovery Channel. "Search for the Real Wings". No, they aren't all the same. Mine are pretty damn good. But we're concentrating on bars. I have no idea who makes good wings, they sure don't in any bar I've been in in 15 years.
  20. Thanks. I hadn't heard that one before. I'm still going on Ramius, and anyone who knew what he was talking about. Some smart people here. The ones who lurk, and never post, I wonder about.
  21. OK, at the risk of another I'm a Jack Bauer wanna be reference...I've been the main subcontractor operational lead on two different KBR projects. When we ramped up for the weapons elimination in Iraq, the KBR project manager was the same one who ran Bosnia. He came out of retirement for it. We also did it as a joint prime with Raytheon. We were to do the chem/bio, they had the missiles and nuke. A few of the contractor guys I was working with are dead or maimed. Nothing emotional, just the facts. All were ex military and actually cared about doing it right. They spent 20-25 years not only leading troops but managed to pick up masters and doctorates. But, I hear about Halliburton. I don't hear about Raytheon. Nothing at all about Raytheon. The average poster on these subjects couldn't pull a watermellon out of their ass when it strained them Whiny little kitty whatevers here don't have a friggen clue about what they are talking about, and if you do - speak up. Pick a 3rd round linebacker, and argue that a few days, and be smart. Those guys are VERY good at what they do. The bigger the job, with an agenda, the more there will be to get picked on because people are paid to find it and do that. Also the more to screw up. Gee, if you have an agenda things must be perfect. Yes, the water in my toilet should be potable, but it wasn't. That's the rule. They were wrong. I should always be able to drink from my toilet. No matter where I am. I'm an American taxpayer. I'm not defending KBR, I'm defending reality - which is also something many people have lost touch with a long time ago. As I said, if someone really knows this business. Speak up. Don't lurk. I know you are there and I'd like you're insights. I really would appreciate them. Something beyond this crap called "insight".
  22. What a crock. If that be the case, we need new people.
