Could the next NFL commisioner be...

I didn't ban anyone. I'm not a mod. And pointing your old, fat kentucky fried chicken greased finger to say I did is dumb, Tenny. Which, you know. -

I can pretty well see why there is so little intelligent participation on PPP, especially from liberal democrats. Incapable of rational conversation because they squeezed in a soundbite or two from CNN in between MTV and 24, and are now smart on the subject. Probably time to close this thread, mods. -
But anyway, the whole real history of this episode has been pretty well documented at this point. As I recall, one of the cable nets, might have been NGC or History, actually had a pretty good piece on it, going all the way back to the Casablanca conference.

So, if it's more than 2,000 words it then doesn't become a political statement? FWIW, Dr. Rice isn't involved with economic policy, not in her job description, hasn't ever been, and she doesn't deal with it now. If you don't like the Bush Admin's economic policy, just say that and be done with it. So, to sum up both your posts, Condoleeza Rice would make a bad commish because you don't like Bush's domestic policies. -

To all who say 7 games isn't enough to judge JP

Actually, it's been covered a few times. Tends to get lost in a 600 post mass stupidity thread. -
Real life doesn't make for good TV. In general, real terrorists: 1. Pick thing. 2. Blow thing up. That wouldn't cover a commercial break, let alone a full season.

Be careful about lighting up a fag, too. Especially around Dupont Circle.

Northeast due for a major hurricane

Don't know if anyone here remembers, but a lot of NYS was under water in 1972 from a Hurricane. -
More curious than potential.

Don't the Bills need a real tackle?

Apparantly waiting to draft a QB. -

OK, I'll ask this again... I see business reasons involved here, as well as football. Everyone who is saying get rid of Losman, what do you want to see happen for a QB? And if you say draft one, I can't see the upside. -
I actually have it on CD. It's in my entertainment stand.

Nah, not you, I'm not real good on smiley significance, which is why I rarely use them. -
You know it. I might get bun toaster right off, if I play my cards right.

Probably my next job.

No, try reading. You and I both know the only reason PTR put that there was to start a "Bush Bad" thread. I pointed out that the people involved weren't "Bush" people, but promoted through the Civil Service system probably under the Clinton administration. The time frames fit right. At that level, it could have been Mickey Mouse as President and people still move, down and around Government. It is also likely, that those getting brought up the line have mentors above them and are more likely to get to be department heads if they are following the overall program. In other words, somebody constantly bad mouthing Janet Reno was not likely to get the slot over someone who wasn't. That's just the way things are, and I figured you knew that. The part highlighted is why I took the tone I did.

And we thank him for bringing this to our attention.

Too many sources? How many markets would you have to play in? It's also real easy to get burned hedging energy futures. How does one budget for it? Oil is pretty volatile, especially at those volumes. Plus, how many different kinds of fuels and lubricants are involved. I thought he was making a funny. -
Not so much a Pandoras box, as it is somewhat old news. I now understand you simply were bringing it up as a discussion subject. You have to understand that 99 time out of 100, posters put up stuff like that simply to say "Ah HAH!" and defend it as truth no matter what they hear. There's also a lot of people on this board that are pretty well wired into these types of things, some work at the Pentagon. Some actually work in counter-terrorism, and sort of roll their eyes at things like this video just from habit. And, when people actually behave themselves, there's a lot of good discussion and information put out on the dark side, over here. Don't know if you peruse.

No. You didn't anwer my wings question did you? How do you compensate temp and time with the very high temp and partly frozen wings? 425 for 12 minutes? 15?

I'm not arguing that part, and think that could be the bigger factor in his being around. He also may have been humbled by last year, and maybe come in with a new attitude. Since you bring it up, some of the same people who have brought that kind of thing up would have been happy to sign T. Owens. Still, he is a first round draft choice with a contract that makes him cheaper to keep than to cut. I haven't heard much believable discussion on just what kind of offense the new trust wants to run. He could fit quite well, or suck. Point is, no one knows. Who's coming up FA next year? I just can't see trying to build a new team around ANOTHER rookie QB who may or may not be able to play at the NFL level, in Buffalo of all places. Not exactly a dome or southern California weather. -

True, but the people who wanted to pile on with their "pathological liar" crap, who also don't have the first clue as to what they are talking about, just pissed me off - so I thought I'd try to keep the subject going. As for the subject, from what I know of her, she probably wouldn't make a bad one. And as mentioned, would be hard to argue lack of diversity. Question is, are the owners going to accept a female Commissioner? I believe Condoleeza Rice can hold her own with most anybody, especially behind closed doors, but as with any sport, that could be an issue. -

Well, because some live in the real world, understand there are also business decisions involved, know what a cluster !@#$ the team has been coaching and management wise for the last couple years, have a QB that never got to develop any kind of rythm in a screwed up offense and pretty much don't have a clue as to what he might or might not do in a different offense. Just my opinion, but cutting him like last week is one of the more ignorant things I've heard on the board yet. To top it off, most saying to do that want to draft another QB that hasn't played a single down in the NFL, good or bad. I really don't understand some of my fellow Bills fans.
