  1. I thought you were Italian. Wanna start on the Wop jokes? Really, I have some good ones.
  2. Whatever, it's time for another gratuitous sexual reference that will calm everyone down. Another Denise Richards in Chocolate
  3. Having fun? Actually, yes it is. Talk to an exterminator. General, run of the mill ants follow trails. They don't swarm. when one crushes a few ants along the trail, the following ants back off and don't follow the same when they get the dead ant chemical signals. Nothing emotional involved, dead ant pheronomes indicate failure along this path. They have to regroup and learn a new path. They will then make it to the picnic basket from another direction. One has to know how to take advantage of the point of confusion as they learn the new path. As an ant anology...
  4. Those oil cans before the beach can be a B word, can't they? Glad you are getting an early start to the coast. I always tried to get us on the road by 8 AM.
  5. And, it's all coming from the "entertainment" world. I guess I don't see the angle, from a business sense. It can't be that bad that if you aren't on TV this week, or have a B movie coming out that one will appear this much of an idiot for exposure. Have they learned nothing from Tom Cruise?
  6. Doesn't the wife mind you hanging with 6 foot 15 year old female golfers? Cool.
  7. No. Simply because it's my job to watch everything you do 24/7.
  8. Well, you said wife, so I won't send you the phone number.
  9. Doesn't work on an anthill. My best immediate analogy.
  10. Oh, you're one of those... No, I went by what you wrote. I'm not assuming anything. You were the one who used the phrase "executing their democratic responsibility toward their society." In context with rioting in the streets. I don't see where I misrepresented anything. Your words, your context. You didn't mitigate or caveat anything. As for me personally, you are new here, so I'll give a bye. I've probably got about 50 pages of conversation on Middle Eastern geo-political issues here alone, which by no means approaches the percentage placed in the more responsible venues I've "lectured", written and discussed them in. As I've indicated more than once here, today included, I don't have anything against the French. I might actually end up working there soon. I have several friends there. I can break bread and drink wine with people I disagree with politically, and so can they. I also understand at least some of the dynamics of their situation and also have been a student of history for 40 years. That's about as "mature" as I'll get at this point.
  11. I don't see New England out of the picture just yet. As things tend to do, the AFC East is beginning to swing back to an equalibrium. I'm in the camp that the Bills biggest problems have been management, both on and off the field. Marv and crew are working to get the balance back. To make the playoffs, you don't have to beat the NFL, you have to win your Division and go from there. Then you get the second season, which except for a few cases is a crap shoot with one game to play against each opponent.
  12. Difference being that Catholicism was originally rooted in non-violence. One has to admit that Jesus had some very quippy one liners that made a lot of sense. Although many throughout history have used Christianity in the most perverse ways, it still remains that Islam was never founded as a religion of peace. It's pretty obvious to me that that has colored things since both their inceptions. Also why so many can't understand what is going on now. Christian beliefs call for turning the other cheek, to over simplify. Islam is not happy unless everyone is Muslim, also to over simplify.
  13. This part, I'll agree with. My biggest peeve. Most Americans seem to think that is doing something. Past that, there are ways to "execute(ing) their democratic responsibility toward their society" that might not involve wrecking and burning other people's things. You guys advocate street riots there in NZ? Thought things were a tad more sensible than that there. And, as someone who was actually involved in the WMD thing from 2002 on, let's just say I have pretty well given up on trying to explain anything once both sides of the argument turned it into another media wrestling match. I haven't heard much that could be considered totally factual out of either side.
  14. No one ever seems to want to point out that Mohammed was not only a Prophet, but a general and a business man as well. Violence in promoting Islam goes back to the roots.
  15. "Allah canoe and twin towers too?" Got Osama re-elected.
  16. Dead either way. If one did not attack, one was executed. At least attack gives one a chance. Old movie alert: "Paths of Glory" Kubrick does a very good job showing the French WW1 mind set. Also a sign of the times. The British lost 53,000 killed and wounded in one day at the Somme. That one battle alone resulted in 1 million killed, altogether.
  17. What? That's been the policy for 6 years. And, a good one. What does anyone think 9/11 was?
  18. Maybe it's because they had a penchant for human wave attacks against machine guns? Some of their generals never saw the front. It's simply history. I actually like France, and have a few French friends.
