  1. Maybe he finally followed my Xanax advice.
  2. Probably some truth to that, but for COS I don't think I'd go outside the family either.
  3. I'm surprised it took this long for them to shut down Iceland. Lots of strategic importance protecting the northern sea lanes during the cold war days, but sort of a place just to hang out since then. No, somewhere on the continent so I can drive places.
  4. There isn't any such thing. There never has been, and there never will be. Sort of like the saying, history is written through the eyes of the victor.
  5. Hard to pick against the niners on that one. Saints a close second. Also, even though you said no AFC East, I just have a feeling the Jets aren't going to show much. But yeah, San Francisco for sure.
  6. Ah, the good old TPU. I was gone, but I heard about them. When I lived there, could always count on the Lancaster Cops to help with all kinds of illegal stuff - nothing serious, but things like a police escort to move something on a Sunday when big trucks were not allowed on the roads.
  7. They do internally. TV has given us CSI. Maybe why we are afraid of conflict? Either take care of the problem or live with it. That's not a slam, but it's life. Doesn't mean burying bodies in the woods, but the "system" is not going to protect or help anyone with (what is to them) minor personal issues. The police could care less about your 450 dollars, unless one is someone you watch games with and likes you. I'd charge an additional 50 bucks interest for the inconvienience and agravation. Should I shut up now?
  8. I was playing on an old joke, but yeah, this one is too big to handle in anything approaching a simple, reasonable manner. Whatever anyone's take is. Sort of like Social Security, in a way. Things that are hard seem to get ignored forever. I've learned over the years that it's usually better to address my hard problems when I get the notice, because if I ignore them they are usually a whole lot harder the year after. And worse the year after that. Seems like there is a pretty clear curve on things getting harder the more one ignores them. Whatever, I'm working on a lottery cheating scheme.
  9. I just can't get behind 2006, though I'm not saying it's impossible. The Bills still have to win their division to go further. Other divisions are too strong to think Wild Card. I'm guessing an improvement in offense across the board this year, with either Losman (possibly Nall?) as more or less a caretaker QB. The bigger holes will be defensively as the entire squad is going to have to work into a completely new defense for most of them and as of now safety is weak. I just don't see camp giving enough learning curve. They will start getting it together around game four or five. 2007 with it's inevitable player moves will lose a couple (probably when you see Fletcher go) and hopefully gain the pieces to make a good run. Call it a dress rehearsal for 2008. I like the idea of stocking up on good, not great players for reasonable money. Look what happened when Spikes went down, along with the other defensive woes and losses. Lastly, here we go groundhog day with what amounts to a new management and coaching staff. 2006 would be wonderful, but if there is anything clicking at all I think I'm realistic in saying it's going to take 2 seasons to put everything together.
  10. I don't get to watch them, but I aquaint it to a baseball slump. Very few teams in any sport get by without hitting one of those periods, I think. Just not try to be there at the end of the season. Believe me, I know the syndrome. I'm a Braves fan.
  11. Hard call and so hard to manage in this day and age. My uneducated gut says the Bills will be a pretty serious contender in 2008. Not only through their own moves, but the moves other teams have to make because of salary concerns. I will also jump out on a limb and say that a bunch of not very high profile but solid players will be here (some yet to be mentioned, and a few picked up next year), and you will likely see a new running back, a couple linebackers and quarterback when it does happen.
  12. You never quit. Think Dick's is bad? You should see mine.
  13. Happy Birthday. Your contributions are really appreciated.
  14. Very true. Probably why he doesn't want them around, though a surprising amount of people have allergies to tomatos.
  15. You guys really should consider bathing now and then, though. And that blonde chick would be sorta cute if she shaved once in a while.
  16. Moorman. One of the best overall athletes, smart, consistent - all the things one wants to see. Tough choice between him and Mcgee, but over all - have to pick the punter.
  17. Don't quite know what to say here. Sometimes people just need what's coming to them if they refuse to act right, and those who are victims tend to remain victims until they do something about it. Whatever you decide to do, do something or sh-- is never going to change, and he'll continue to laugh at you until he's shown different. Hell with the cops. I'm never a fan of fighting for stupid reasons, but sometimes people just don't give you a choice and sadly, that's the only thing they understand. Either give me my money, or lose it in hide. And leave your brother out of it. This is between him and you.
  18. Lots of redheads and brunettes too. Contrary to popular belief, most Icelandic women are of Scottish descent rather than Scandinavian.
