  1. Doesn't work if you are the middle aged white guy, unless you are the middle aged white guy who has never had a problem involved with it and are out there holding up signs supporting the people who could care less about you. I've learned. I'm an unwashed Bush loving reviled neocon POS because I've spent 30 years trying to do my part to keep the monsters out of the closet. Not too many here (that post here, anyway) have ever dealt with the realities of that, but, they wouldn't want to and it's cool to be "understanding". Let's watch Cheerleader Nation, and forget about it.
  2. I guess it's stating the obvious when one can't bring up anything without being ignored and buried under 893 "We should get a 1 and three virgins and a mule for Eric Moulds" threads. Let alone try to bring any levity to it. I noticed the Bills Cheerleaders were tossed off the board today too. Definitely not football related. You think we should draft Ngata? "The world wonders". Still haven't found Taffy Six (Who knows that reference, CTM doesn't count because I know he knows.)
  3. I don't know, since I've never watched "Hitchhikers". Since it was you, I already pre-ignored it anyway.
  4. Would still have to dumb down to reach the American TV audience.
  5. Anything anyone needs to know about life can be learned in a Godfather movie. I'm not a big gamer, as I've said before I do do flight sims and not role play, but that one bears a look.
  6. I thought I was being polite when I said "affiliated". I'm still in trouble for mentioning soup.
  7. Not disagreeing at all, but COS is a spot that organizes the others more than implements anything himself. The "institutional knowledge" aspect results in less transition turmoil. I would like to see some new blood brought in too, heck, for that matter hire me.
  8. I still can't stand American Idol, though I did check out some of the "oldies" performances on the web. Hard to go wrong with Johnny Mercer and Patsy Cline.
  9. I think things have changed since you left. The Latino thing has really picked up. They are "affiliated" now.
  10. Tree huggers. Bah. Now THIS is a woman I'd love to work with. Huntin', Fishin' and Hot to Boot.
  11. 12 cars? As with anything else, those not affected by something are usually the ones in favor of telling those who are what they need to do. I was sort of surprised at just how much Latino gang violence there is here in Alexandria and Arlington. Bastions of the liberal left as they are. But, this is also the place that has literally spent millions building shelters for the day laborers to hang out in waiting for their pick up truck ride to the job site. I'll leave the details to VA Bills, as this is one of his peeves.
  12. Is there anything you don't find fault with? Whether I'm Catholic or not doesn't change the fact that someone has to take out the trash now and then, because the know it all idealists just complain when it's full, but would never dirty their hands. Has nothing to do with distorting anything.
  13. Being a Braves fan, I was pretty unhappy with the way the umpires jobbed them in the 97 NLCS. Hernandez could have thrown a pumpkin over the backstop and it would have been called a strike. But, flavor of the month.
  14. Some good points, even if they ruffle feathers. I think a lot of the world has simply gotten used to the US solving their "hard" problems for them. As this goes on, there are probably plenty of people in Mexico going "so what?". A lot of Europe comes to mind. I take their grumbling about us with a grain of salt.
  15. Maybe it's time to buy another World Series? They haven't done that for a while.
  16. Nobody. It would be a very stupid move, organizational wise for a dozen reasons. By family I refer to those already working in the White House (which we all know extends to many other buildings, but you get my meaning).
