  1. Yeah, you're right. I could give a rat's ass.
  2. It's cyclic, to a degree. About 4 or 5 years ago, there were numerous posts about how the "family" had changed. Most of it, true to a large degree. This year seems different. Moron city. No, I'm not calling everyone morons, but if you want to actually discuss something, read first and see if someone has already gone there. Is that so hard? Maybe it's that Googlebot guy. I've yet to see him post. Doesn't have anything to do with anyones opinions, but Jesus H., how many times can people spurt the same thing as if it is a revelation?
  3. I try to keep in mind things like you might come across me in a car wreck someday. "Hmmm, busted on my ass? No black bag for him..."
  4. Snakes AND spiders? Screwing up the sequel. But, has potential. Creatures eating babies has it's appeal, though. I'm thinking reality show.
  5. I have the same birthday as Anna Kournikova (not the same year). If you can figure out an angle, let me know.
  6. Eat a cow? You obviously drink much more beer than I do. How do you get past going out for breakfast? Oh, maybe I misread.
  7. Thank you. My best side, and good lighting for a change.
  8. Yeah, I'm talking to you. I went back and edited to include "Bill". And sh--, now you are going the humble route too? At least I never compared you to a robot from a movie 6 people saw. (Actually 5, but I heard you saw it twice).
  9. I know you are really trying to contain yourself, Bill, but how are you getting by at work with the KY and towel on your lap? Late lunch?
  10. That is cute, but: Needs to be in somebody's signature line, or a Samuel Jackson Christmas movie plot.
  11. I've mentioned before, I network with a lot of people all over the world. Many of them aren't exactly fans of the US, but have common sense. With most issues, the general consesus is "eh, whatever..." TV is TV. It's not hard to film 100 people jumping up and down and make it look like a popular uprising encompassing the entire nation. Especially when it's essentially staged. Anyone ever wonder why so many Anti-American signs held up in (_ pick a country that doesn't speak English) are printed in English?
  12. Whenever I do that, people just look at me funny. I got a little worried about the fat chick with orange lipstick rumaging for quarters, though.
  13. I don't want to get into another media rant, but they have sure caught on to the program. I somewhat follow mid east media, and there has been a definite shift in how it's been used over the past couple of years. Looks like their version of CNN's playbook. Even people who generally hate us still emulate what we do well. Such as disinform.
  14. PM me a grid. As an aside, I know the gal who is responsible for maintaining the inventory status of the nuclear stockpile. She's a fox. Sometimes life is like 24.
  15. Look at the quote I highlighted in my original post under tactics. I saw that and went WHAT???
  16. "Supporting the troops" is the easy part for both parties. My concerns are philosophy and policy direction. As it stands, I'm not expecting much out of the Republicans at this point either when it comes to campaign antics. DPW proved that - but IMO they are less likely to try to undo a lot of things that have already been done. The list of names that Possum on the Halfshell listed is enough to frighten me. And it's NOT because they are democrats. It's how they think. Unless there has been some kind of huge epiphany in that group, I have a good idea where their takes are.
  17. I really don't know. Stubborn? I do know my former head boss was the on scene guy for "rebuilding" Iraq, basically said "screw this", and came back to DC.
  18. I think they can get absentee ballots for New Orleans, though.
  19. You're likely going to hear something along the lines that the government has hopelessly and shamelessly ignored ensuring adequate emergency response, disaster recovery and population aiding assets in many large urban areas that will also be called high profile terrorist targets.
