  1. And I said yup. As you said, probably good for another thread, but a lot of people are still pretty bitter over how that went down.
  2. OK. Someone tell me what I'm supposed to say. My original response is that anyone should be open to criticism, just be sure that balanced information is used to form it. Balanced means one side says good thing, other side says bad thing. Something could even be somewhere in the middle. The questioner tries to find and analyze the varying viewpoints to form their own picture. When points of view are developed based solely on one or the other, they are simply echoing one or the other.
  3. By the time Andy gets back, Barney will have the whole town in jail.
  4. Interesting discussion on this morning's news. Someone figured out that there is a 10 billion dollar disparity between the cost of services given illegal immigrants vs. the tax revenue they generate. Which is big money. BUT. Giving them some kind of legal status would actually increase the cost differential and drain, as they would then legally become elligble for further government services and programs, but still the majority would be in a low income bracket, paying little in terms of taxes. Oh, BTW...try not to fly anwhere in a C-5A anytime soon if you can avoid it...
  5. Truth post? Get ready for the fat guy board.
  6. I misspelled. Piss off, elitist prick ass hole. Eat me. Score a major victory? That said: He's got some things with other folks worth listening to too. Sort of like Bob James and Sandborn teaming with Al Jereau. Seems like an undercurrent of people who just now and then get together. FWIW, there was a period where Tony Bennet got popular for a week over it, but his "Friends" album helped those involved promote their own stuff. Have you that in your collection? KD Lang showcases nice and Natalie Cole does a killer "Stormy Weather".
  7. Always helps to include a disclaimer. I don't think it's a periferral to refer back to Ed's thread. There is something really wrong in the Government Social Services business. Has been for a while, but this isn't PPP. Just too many of the same types of stories. The company I just recently walked away from has an absolutely wonderful HR department, with some really great people. I did more harm to them than they did to me, and a month gone, I get calls and stuff to help me out. This is also a multi-thousand person company. In other words, not me, but their philosophy.
  8. Already echoed in many other posts, but very few here seem to read anything besides their own. Maybe the one previous? Maybe. It's probably more like read the heading, click and opine. Forget thought. Outside of the opinion that I have seen about a couple hundred more ridiculous posts, I agree with you 100%. Willis (and agent) made himself another distracting sidebar last year. Drafting him that high was a very unwise move, my opinion. But, the faithfull considered it a coup, and now many of the champions of the cause B word because they didn't see his straight arm enough last year. Bad lines? Ever watch Barry Sanders play? Willis is no Sanders, Sweetness, or even OJ for that matter. People seem to forget the whole game has changed, has been dumbed down, watered down and it's all about "right now". They don't play their first game of the 2006 season for a couple months yet. I think. I'm not a TSW analyst guru, so I'm not sure of the dates.
  9. I know we never talk, but if you want to go through a neutral third party let me know. I've already sent the clip to a couple people. Figured you had a connection after I looked at the site. What kind of stage presence does he have? We all know how things are in that regard. He can't sit in a chair or on his bed and play.
  10. I love site work. Might be going back to it. Decided it was time to leave Washington.
  11. And I'm the one who needs the Gollum avatar?
  12. Way cool. Playing in the dirt can be a lot of fun sometimes.
  13. BTW, Dean - good choice. As "no one" has heard much of David Grisham there's a lot of free download and streaming out there.
  14. I thought you might take some exception with the "his" part... Also, why watch? The Mariners losing this year is pretty much a foregone conclusion. Like sand through the hourglass, so are us guys with no lives
  15. They held up highway construction in Savannah for about 2 years. Couldn't put an expressway through because there was a nest in the way. Pretty common in the South East.
  16. I have a feeling that the Bills won't know what they are going to do until about 30 seconds after pick 7. That is probably what makes the most sense.
  17. Well whoop de doop dee do to you too.
  18. Once again, no. I just don't think Bush was sitting in the CENTCOM J33. Maybe he was, but I doubt it. I'm not ignoring the points made, either. There was a particular strategy and OPLAN lined out for Afghanistan and whether anyone thinks it was flawed or not, it's what was being worked with. Hell, friggen Al Jazeera has one of the more comprehensive write ups on it. If you are convinced that the way normal military operations works is to receive personal presidential approval for deploying a battalion or a helicopter company, I can't stop you. What exactly is the point you are trying to make? More to the point, what do you want me to say? The Somalia debacle was some Ad Hoc sidebar not related to the UN committment. The Admin had their hands much more directly involved there as it was a sidebar project. Cinton himself made calls. When you can show me that Bush personally approved or disapproved field generated resource requests, I'll take this more seriously. I don't think even Bush thinks he has enough of a clue to make those calls. I don't think it even made it to Rumsfeld.
