  1. You have to remember that if it's female, most likely maybe breathing, not fat and in the media, someone somewhere is going to lust. My worthless advice is, if she's under 18, don't do it on a public message board. I remember when the movie Harry Potter came out. There was an element here that were seriously discussing how "hot" the little brown haired wizard girl was. SHE WAS 12! Makes one wonder if the parents of the thirteen year old living next door to some of these folks have a clue as to what goes on in the minds of some.
  2. Oh, and BTW - joining in, I give Mary's shark credit for good taste.
  3. I hear you. I've done a lot of surf casting on the southeast coast, and in Hawaii. Bait thieves. More than once I've caught something decent, and by the time I reeled it in I had half a fish or less. There was and continues to be a problem in Hawaii with boogie boarders and Tigers. One of Mr. Tiger's favorite foods is sea turtle. Well, from underneath, what does a boogie boarder look like? Usually, the shark takes a bite - finds out it isn't turtle and swims away. Lot of damage in one bite, though. I thought the girl got bitten by a Bull. They can be pretty aggressive. There's always a few shark attacks every year. Actually, less this year so far than average. Media gets a story...I personally wouldn't worry much about it. Enjoy the beach. It's summer.
  4. I had no idea it was being re-done. Is this a remake of the original? Or a remake of the remake of the original?
  5. I'll try to get around to posting it on the recipe board sometime over the weekend. It's a very simple recipe, overall. Outside of the marinading overnigh, only takes about 30 minutes to prep and do. Grilled vegetables and a rice pilaf make for a nice - fairly light, but satisfying summer meal. If you can multi-task, you can get the whole thing done in 45 minutes or so.
  6. As I said, as you read those - think about what is being said. I'm sure some people will mouth the words, and brush it all off as some government propoganda thing - but these things are written very carefully. They are MEANT for the rest of the world to read. That's why they aren't more specific and classified. It's pretty clear as to what we are up to, how we're going there, and what we desire for a result.
  7. Well you HAVE been following him around like something stuck to his shoe.
  8. Not really, I just never heard of anyone doing that. I usually use a sauce made from butter, olive oil, fresh lemon juice and minced fresh parsley - mostly just to accentuate. I score the meat, then rub in a dijon mustard - minced garlic marinade, wrap it and let it sit for 24 hours or so in the fridge. After I grill it, the flavors blend quite well. I could send you the recipe to try if you like. I just don't do gravies with grilled meats, to me they overpower the meat.
  9. National Strategy for Combating Terror National Security Strategy National Defense Strategy If you actually THINK about what you are reading, many of the explanations for Iraq, Afghanistan and a few other things are right here. There's nothing operational here, but there is also nothing going on operationally that is beyond the scope of the guidelines of the strategy.
  10. What makes you think I would support it? That's a crap thing to say. If you go back over the last three years, I think I have contributed quite a bit of information including my thoughts and analysis re: National Security, war on terror, defense strategy, homeland Defense. Question some of those who don't act like moveon.org mouthpieces, but do have an opposing view as to whether I have ever regurgitated a soundbite or failed to present an objective analysis of those issues? I can't explain the intricacies of national security policy and overall strategies to effect them in a three sentence soundbite. I have on several occasions posted links to the relevant documents that shape those priorities and strategies. I've tried to explain many of them the best I could. Overall, I'd guess about 20 pages worth. When lawyers post things here (and other places) about the law, I pay attention and use it to try to learn. same with financial people, computer people, entertainment people, etc. There's a lot of knowledge here. I just happen to work at OSD level on the issues being discussed. I've tried to explain, many times why things sometimes are the way they appear to be- within limits, but in an objective (not party hack) manner. I can't help it if you never paid any attention.
  11. I might let her put it back on unless I'm not finished yet.
  12. They came from Saudi Arabia. Would you invade Los Angeles because some Crips did a drive by?
  13. Fill the jar with hard boiled eggs.
  14. No, just a part of the government consults with me before they make decisions about things like this. Not the whole thing.
  15. Kirk would not eat 1 hour fried maccaroni and pickle juice. Advantage = Kirk.
  16. I'm dying here... Hope your all happy. JEZUS H. KRIST!!!
  17. I'm sorry...I'm just laughing too hard. Damn! Pickle juice? 1 hour? The sheep fritters must be a "make a day ahead"
  18. I'm incapable now. I'm still laughing on the recipe. BF finally put me over the edge.
  19. I'm sorry, I'm still laughing too hard.
  20. And baby mushrooms, with dwarf aspargus.
  21. You're having a French moment again. BTW, can you decipher Bills last on Korea? I thought he only saw Star Wars once. Did he like it? Or was he always hung on Yoda? (one of those understanding eye to eye things)
