  1. I just caught that this is the second place he posted this.
  2. I thought it was the other way around, sug. Actually, I forget. What were the rules again? Aww, what the hell. Why not?
  3. The only true way to insert serious force in a hurry if trouble brews is measured in kilotons. I don't think that's the greatest idea, for a lot of reasons. Pulling American ground forces out of the M/E gives them the victory in the FIRST battle (against us, second against a superpower). That would be a bigger recruiting tool than the war we have now.
  4. The drivel will become even MORE mindless as the great thread race heats up.
  5. With the Bills as they are set up now, for this season - Adam Vinatieri
  6. I'll see if we can adjust for hippocracy and sarcasm too. BRB...
  7. There's a very good Bills bar in Arlington. right off the beltway and easy to get to. Very popular, need reservations if you want a table. The simian, his frau and I go there on occassion, lots of bills jerseys, don't know who else from here.
  8. He'll be working this side of the river. But, you're right. Whenever I have to go into DC it's yellow line for me. Most places I go are usually within a block or two of a metro stop. Parking is easy at the Huntington station, too.
  9. I've seen a few for rent signs around your place, but was thinking the townhomes just past the intersection where I work, almost across from Van Dorn. We almost rented one there for $1750, very large 3 bedroom with a finished family room basement. Nice and quiet, too.
  10. That would have taken 6 more quarters fed into the time machine, and they still needed change for the thruway.
  11. Woodbridge is nothing but a big bedroom town. Can be hard to get in from too. Get as close to work as is reasonable.
  12. I hope your getting it from the source and not the pump.
  13. We'll look out for you, Bro. I can tell you right now that $1758 is not going to touch much within range of what you want, single family home wise. That is, worth living in. There are some very nice, roomy 3 bedroom townhomes you might get closer too. I'd seriously pursue the military to miltary connection around Belvoir. May is the late spring PCS cycle, and someone could be looking to rent their place out to someone responsible at a lesser cost than something managed through a realtor. Since everything is Joint Operations around here, no one looks cross eyed at squids on post. If you get lonely, the Coast Guard station is just up the road about a mile.
  14. How often do you use the hospital vs grocery shop? Well...if we're talking you...never mind. Walter Reed isn't that far.
  15. Another point on hybla Valley, you have access to all the facilities at Belvoir. Shopping at the commissary can save you some bucks, for example.
  16. For the Alexandria station, it might be possible to rent a nice place in the Hybla Valley area. There is what I have heard is a decent elementary and middle school on Telegraph Road not far from the new Van Dorn extension. (You could be within 5 miles or so of the school) I'm not certain, but I think the Navy recruiter is on Route 7, so it would be a quick commute. I work for a Defense Agency that has a lot of active duty military, many places will be available for rent when the next major PCS turnover happens. Peruse the fort Belvoir website for non-agency rentals. Hybla Valley is a lot more rural/sub urb than being up in the high rise areas. I'll check with some folks at work tomorrow. When do they want you to move?
