  1. Does it fold up and store in a neat little pouch? If not, it's not germane to the thread. Wait. None of this is germane to the thread. Sorry, Scraps.
  2. So, you don't need one after all. "Hmm, bad guys coming. Machine gun? Or folding shovel? Tough choice here."
  3. See, in the Army this is an entrenching tool. Digs Holes We usually had better things to do than try to bury ourselves with pooper scoopers.
  4. OK. If my life depends on unfolding a travel shovel to defend myself, I'd say I have bigger problems. Unless I'm guarding my cat hole, maybe.
  5. Yes. The "old" style e-tools were both a shovel and a pick, and could be used as a weapon. The new ones are little spade looking things that weigh about a pound and fold out to about a 1 foot handle. Good for digging cat holes to poop in, but not much else.
  6. Yeah, but they fold up and store in a little pouch.
  7. Have you ever seen an entrenching tool? Much less open one? Friggen loser.
  8. Well, at least you've never been called Bin Laden's lap dog.
  9. Multi-tools is what's "in" though, no one with any true fashion sense lugs entrenching tools any more.
  10. Pine cones are only acceptable during the holiday season, when matching seasonal camouflage for a particular occassion. Usually something semi-formal involving large volumes of small arms fire. There's something really Christmasy about blending the red and green tracers.
  11. I thought you were simply a communist. I don't support anybody, that said I consider myself mostly conservative. Which also makes my dislikes even more bizzare. I don't care for the religious right stance on personal issues. I think it detracts heavily from anything important domestic wise.
  12. You probably still mix polyester with smoke grenades, cretin.
  13. Definitely not the shiny ones. The black matte, no gloss finish is the way to go.
  14. How about "best available player" in the first round and top of the second, and then pick at position? I'm still sort of wary of a bunch of picks going at linemen. I think everyone is in full agreement that line issues need to be fixed for anything good to happen, but not at the full expense of the skill positions.
  15. I hear the multi-tool is all the rage this year.
  16. Depends on whether one chooses to go with the seasonal vest and matching grenade pockets, insofar as traditional. I've mostly gone with a belt holster, as the shoulder intereferes with the cummerbund. but, when not wearing the vest I like the free feeling of the shoulder.
  17. I'm with Kelly. All this talk about drafting starting lineman high is getting a little scary. Sure, get some - but would an experienced FA or 2 gell as OL starters faster than a couple rooks right out of college?
  18. They are doing some really great things with web gear these days.
  19. Poor taste for sure. Plus, one doesn't mix medals with camo, it's sort of like stripes and plaid.
  20. Also a very, very difficult style of enemy to fight. The only real good defense is through excellent intell. I'd rather fight tanks - when you see one coming it's pretty cut and dried what's up. I have heard that the amount of tips coming into both the Iraqi security forces and the US troops are increasing, which is a good sign.
  21. What? Is it something gag for Mardis Gras?
  22. I think quite a few are saying that, and it makes good sense. But, there IS a 5-9 173 pound receiver out there...
  23. Not in the same sense as south pacific pidgeon, like in the Solomons or something. I never heard that myself in the Islands, more a combination of native Hawaiian and English, like any other place. With a portugese tint. I think there are a few posters who live there now, they'd probably know better.
