"I see no reason why Nance couldn't be a valuable contributor on special teams, especially open field blocking" You mean like an up man on the KR? Nance would be superior in that roll to a backup FB, TE or LB? LOL!! Does his height help him be an open field blocker?? Have you ever seen him block??
-
"And in his college career, Wilford caught slightly over 2.5 passes a game, which suggest he drops balls." It might also suggest that Wilford played on VaTech, which tended to run the ball with Kevin Jones and others. You may find in stats that Miami OH threw the ball more often than VaTech did...

"Lots of very good football players go undrafted" That's true. However, very few of them were four year ALL Conference players who were at the Senior Bowl, and that is the point. The NFL can miss someone like Gates who did not play any college ball. To claim the NFL missed out on Nance is pathetic given the facts. "Pointing out that he has size and that such size can be a good thing for a WR to have is simply recognizing the obvious" Santana Moss and Derrick Mason are listening... "It is why scouts pay a lot of attention to size " Which explains why none of the 32 NFL teams attending the Senior Bowl spent a pick on Nance... right? LOL!! "The point being made here is simply that Nance be given a fair shot at making the roster and that the early indications are that he is playing very well in the OTA's. Why does that make us all birdbrains so deserving of your obnoxious scorn?" That is a laughably dishonest way to spin how this debate has unfolded. The "scorn" I received has been because none of you featherheads has had the slightest answer to my points, but rather a non-stop parrot&lie&insult fest since. Let's try again... I said the kid drops balls, doesn't separate, and doesn't adjust to the ball. Those are my observations, as are the points about acceleration and turning in regards to ST play. Why is that wrong? If your answer is h+w+b+40=football skills and MAC stat parroting, I rest my case...
-
LaDairis' FEATHERHEAD Lesson #18 "Okie Dokie. Size, speed and stength don't matter in the NFL. Brilliant analysis" h+w+b+40 does not matter at WR if the WR doesn't adjust to the ball, doesn't separate, and doesn't have good hands... Reggie Williams of the Jags was a classic h+w+b+40 WR who cannot separate in the NFL. The NFL, specifically the Jags, clearly did a great job scouting him. "Are you arguing that Nance doesn't have "football skills"?" LOL!!!! Since you define size as a "football skill" I laugh at the question. What I'm saying is what I said the very first innocent post I made on this subject, a post that was viciously attecked by the two featherheads above. What I said was that Nance drops balls, Nance does not adjust to the ball, Nance does not separate, and hence Nance deserved to be an undrafted despite his h+w+b+40 and his MAC stats. Now, since you clearly do not understand that, I cannot help you until you get a basic Football 101 level education... "The post I was responding to indicated, wrongfully I thought, that in my argument to give Nance a fair shot, I was implying that just "anyone" could learn special teams. My citing the info on Nance was done simply to point out that Nance isn't just "anyone". He is a solid athlete who had a good career in college" Once again, the substance of my post responding to that was clear and sailed right over your head - WOOSH. I said that Nance takes time to accelerate to top speed and doesn't change directions well. What does that mean? WOOSH!!! It means he won't cut it as a gunner - WOOSH! It means he would be ineffective as a KR - WOOSH! What is your response to that - parroting h+w+b+40 and college stats, because that is all your BEAKED BIRDBRAIN is capable of understanding. How about YOU TELLING US what Special Team job Nance can do? That's right, your "answer" will be that Nance is tall and was a great MAC player... "Is it really so terrible to propose that Nance be given a fair shot to make the roster that it deserves your snarling responses?" Not at all. I really look forward to it. I have hope that some of you will actually learn somethng in the process. What has been "terrible" here is that I started with one simple kind response pointing out why I thought Nance went undrafted, and I was viciously and repeatedly attecked for having my own view on the subject. Indeed, nobody has presented the slightest evidence that my views on the subject are anything but dead on. Rather, there has been a hysteria that h+w+b+40 plus stat parroting plus guru parroting equals The NFL and LaDairis must be totally wrong and Nance really did deserve to be drafted... Add in a comparison of Gates, who never played college ball, and a lie about whether or not I called the Bills 06 Draft here, and one has to wonder if humanity is not in real trouble...
-
Errors in the Draft tend to err on the side of size. Mike Williams is a great example. The NFL has plenty of folks searching for size. The NFL can find size. Size is not exactly hard to find. Size at the Senior Bowl gets all the attention it needs, unless there are character issues, as with Anttaj Hawthorne last year. There is a difference between a four year star MAC player with size going to the Senior Bowl and going undrafted, and a kid like Gates who did not play college football and did not attend any of the all star bowls like the Senior Bowl, but your feathered birdbrain doesn't seem to be able to figure that out. As for your obsession with parroting some drop stats, your hypocrisy on that issue is off the scale, as the search I did for drop stats, producted an NFL leaderboard with Ernest Wilford on top by a tall=good margin. True to form, you and your fellow featherhead attempt to excuse Wilford's drop talent, because Wilford has that other amazing characteristic that your birdbrains are impressed with - height. Hence, if you do not accept Wilford's drop talent as evidence of anything but Wilford's greatness, why would anyone expect your beakedness to do anything different with Nance. YOU BIRDBRAINS cannot explain why Nance was an undrafted Senior Bowl participant. YOU BIRDBRAINS refuse to even consider that my explanation might explain why Nance was indeed a Senior Bowl undrafted. YOU BIRDBRAINS insist that, no matter what, any tall=good WR must be some amazing talent, because PARROTS like you always think your parroting is correct, because you did the parroting. You want a drop stat for Nance after refusing to accept one documenting what a disasterous pair of bricks Ernest Wilford has for hands...
-
Yeah, sure, moderator... You must be a PARROTING MORON too, given where you have sided here... As for this lie... "can give me a prediction on draftees from this year" that answer was given here three days ago... http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=47381&st=80 "As for this year, Whitner is a good SS prospect but not a TOP 10 caliber one. Ko Simpson is just about as good a FS prospect as Whitner is a SS. McCargo was a huge reach and not a First Round caliber talent, but I already posted that, and your BEAKED BIRDBRAIN "disproved" that by parroting mock drafts. Youboty is not an elite "Clements" caliber corner prospect. Third Round was about right if not too high. Kyle Williams is not far behind McCargo in talent and was a good pick in round 5. Brad Butler isn't going to cut it at OT in the NFL - not a good enough athlete. Keith Ellison is not an NFL caliber OLB prospect and should have gone undrafted. Ellison is slow and not a quality tackler - misses tackles too often. Pennington is just a huge guy with some athleticism but very green with poor technique and isn't quick off the snap. Merz is not bad for Round 7 but has injury issues and is not an elite athlete" But, heck, if one of your favorite fellow PARROTING MORONS is lying his little BEAKED BIRDBRAIN off here, you cheer...

And the unreal idiocy continues... http://www.sdhoc.com/main/articles/chargers/Gatesneal "Neither played college football" So, Nance's four years at Miami OH gets equated with Gates' ZERO college experience only in the mind of the parroting moron who does not tolerate anything inconsistent with his parroting. The idea that someone with four years of Div 1a college ball, including Bowl games, might be further "developed" than someone who DID NOT PLAY ANY COLLEGE BALL once again goes... WOOSH over the featherheads... Gates took two years to become a dominant player in the NFL. Nance took four years to be an undrafted Senior Bowl participant. If this sounds equal to you, have a cracker on LaDairis...
-
Then you once again completely whiffed on the point I just made, that being that Gates only needed two years of football experience to become one of the NFL's best TEs. Nance has four years of experience. WOOSH....
-
LOL!!!! Where did Gates play his college ball, oh omniscient BEAKED one??
-
You talk about Gates. Gates separates against NFL double teams. Nance doesn't separate and has four years of MAC experience, while Gates originally had none because he was a basketball player. One separates against the best, the other doesn't against the MAC. HMMM. Maybe there is a difference... What KzooMORON does is he equates h+w+b+40 on a player by player basis, so since Gates and Nance have similar h+w+b+40, the BEAKED BIRDBRAIN inside equates the two. Genius!!! Indeed, it would have been hilarious to see Gates with four years of football experience spend a week in Mobile and go undrafted... HMMM... Gates with four years of football experience spends a full week every February in... Hawaii... and all anyone had to do to figure that out was just add up the h+w+b+40... LOL!!!

"Just like Wolford and his massive drop%. Wolford’s role was almost exclusively to run fade patterns. Over half the balls his way were jump ball situations that naturally led to a lot of drops." You are so F-ing clueless about Ernest Wilford that this is hilarious. Go to a Jag board and ask those who actually watched Wilford about his drops. Wilford will make the occasional circus catch. What Wilford will drop, over and over, is the easy ball right at him. What you did in the above quote is the standard behavior parrots display when outed for being clueless bawking morons - they start lyin'... "But what matters most is points, and Wilford gave the Jaguars a ton of production." LMAO!!! Yeah, in the Jag playoff game, starting WR Wilford gave the Jags a big F-ing GOOSE EGG in the stat column. What Wilford's "production" in the regular season consisted of was being the #4 WR against ZONE while Jimmy Smith was double teamed. WOOSH - the above statement conflicts with certified "guru" parroting. Watch for more hate, lies and insults to be hurled by the outed BEAKED BIRDBRAINS...
-
"With stats like what Nance put up, I have a hard time believing " LMAO!!! STAT PARROTING without watching = PROOF to the BIRDBRAINED MORON that is the PARROT named Disease... Now, explain again why Nance went undrafted, oh BEAKED one... And tell us again that Byron Leftwich is the Jags best rusher because he led the Jags in rushing against the Pats in the playoffs.. BAWK BAWK BAWK BAWK BAWK goes the BEAKED BIRDBRAIN...
-
"You’re an idiot because whoever doesn't have YOUR opinion is an idiot. " Wrong - you two featherheads cannot accept that anyone actually has an original opinion, because all of "your" "opinions" are standard parroting and tall=good bawking. You are intolerant of non-parrots, who you consider blasphemous to your parroting=proof "understanding" of football. "You know absolutely nothing about me" Wrong again. I know that you are incapable of observing football and making "your" "opinions" from watching. I know that ALL of "your" football "opinions" are PARROTED. I know that you refuse to accept anyone's actual viewing as "valid" if it conflicts with your parroting. "I've watched him 4 times in three different stadiums" If you have watched him four times, and you still dispute that he has difficulty separating and adjusting to the ball, then that completely verifies the above. You watch, yet you do not understand. Hence, even though you watched, "your" "opinion" of Nance comes from PARROTING, because nobody knows more just how clueless you are about football than... you...
-
"His specialty is in obscure WR's from the MAC" Perhaps you wish to define "obscure" as being in the Senior Bowl, KzooMORON... Once again, the board's two BEAKED BIRDBRAINS cannot help but insult those who actually watch and observe and refuse to bow to their theory of "greater guru" parroting and h+w+b+40=football skils. This comes after, of course, the fact that Senior Bowl participant Nance displayed such awesome ability to separate and adjust to the ball that, after every single team watched him for a full week, he went undrafted...
-
Ah, the 6'4" runs a 4.5 40 = football skills theory... Add in a few receiving stats from the MAC and get a bust ready for him in Canton... Well, to answer your question, Nance is hardly agile enough to return kicks. The guy takes a while to get to top speed, but once he gets speed, has real trouble turning. Hence, his ability to be a gunner is negligible, not to metnion helping out on kickoff coverage. Blocking kicks - perhaps, although he would have competition from some of the better leapers on the roster. While I don't know too much about Aiken and some of the others, I hardly see where Nance would add anything vs. George Wilson, who is a good gunner. Wilson was highly productive in the SEC. Wilson adjusts to the ball. Wilson is a good blocker. Oh, I know!!!! Nance is THREE INCHES TALLER!!! And TALL=GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! h+w+b+40 = football skils the best WR in the NFL is Tyrone Calico, especially right after Fisher benched him as a rookie for dropping one out of every three right to him and before he tore both knees. the best OL in the NFL is the Bengals Stacy Andrews, who holds the record for h+w+b+40 even though he is yet to play a down in the NFL...

Imagine if Buffalo would have drafted Big Ben.
LaDairis replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Bills had drafted Ben, Ben would not have had the same success he had with Pitt. An amazing reality would unfold. Football is actually a team sport. Ben's OL in Pitt is awesome. Ben's OL here sukked. If the Bills had drafted Ben, many here would be calling for this FA QB or that rookie QB etc... -
"Well LD, you're batting .500" Yes, every single 5th and 6th is expected to be an immediate star player... "if EVEN that since King is a 3rd CB and still has a lot to prove" Disease is still not sure that King really deserves any praise. What King did on the field last year, Disease is incapable of understanding and assessing. Disease is still sure that the gurus panned King and had him undrafted. That's the "fact" of Disease's 100% PURE PARROTED "opinion" of King. Disease is also very sure that King is short, violating the sacred philosophy of all PARROTS that TALL=GOOD... That King excelled in man coverage and hence was not tested much because the guy he covered was not open - WOOSH - right over the double yellow head.... STATS - like picks - THAT is what matters to PARROTS at corner. Neon Deion, in his prime with Dallas, had very few stats, so he really sukked. This issue of whether or not Deion was avoided - PROVE IT with stats now, because my BEAKED BIRDBRAIN can only assess corners with STATS and certified guru PARROTING... And, of course, Geisinger is a total bust because "coach knows best" and he did not play... "keep ignoring my request for predictions from THIS year's draft" LMAO!!! Nice reading comp, RETARD...
-
"I was high on Geisinger. Reports were" There you go again with another opinion on a player you had NEVER SEEN play a DOWN of football. "Your" "opinion" on Justin is best described as BAWK!!! My BIRDBRAIN read something, so that became "my" "opinion..." "it sounds like he's still no there yet" LOL!!! Nothing like some substantive parroting to form one's "own" opinion... The Eric King call was dead-on right. King was clearly better than a lot of corners taken ahead of him, and King was projected to go undrafted by the "gurus," which explains why "you" did not have a high "opinion" of yet another player you had never seen play a down at the time. Some form opinions of players by watching. Others form "their" "opinions" by appropriating the opinions they read... As for this year, Whitner is a good SS prospect but not a TOP 10 caliber one. Merz is not bad for Round 7 but has injury issues and is not an elite athlete. Had enough?? LOL!!! BAWK ON about more players you've never seen play a down...
-
Geisinger and Eric King were two who I liked last year and posted so right after last year's Draft. While Justin never saw the field because of your wonderful "coach knows best" philosophy of parroting, King clearly was an excellent steal in round 5. Wasn't it just great that Bennie started ahead of Justin the whole year last year? That provided 1) shi##y play at OLG the whole year 2) didn't develop any young talent still on the roster now 3) a final dollop of unamortized cap hit from Bennie's contract for 2006... because "coach knows best" - right?? LOL!! Then again, last year, my takes on King and Justin for you were another example of a "non-guru" expressing blasphemous opinions that conflicted with the "greater guru" parroting theory that creates "your" "opinions" of players you have never seen play a down. You "know" Geisinger is not good because he did not play last year, and "coach knows best" is your "proof..."
-
I prefer my test - a thread for everyone who paid attention. I have a much lower opinion of NFL head coaches than you. In fact, I think many NFL head coaches, GMs, and the like are just flat out morons. Regardless, it surely will be an issue this preseason, and it is not exactly like I haven't made my take on the subject.
-
"And I think the coaches are smart enough to know if he can't adjust to the ball well and drops easy passes" LOL!!! And "coach knows best" must be true... You might have thought that the coaches could have figured out that Bennie Anderson was a liability, because they should have "known best" on that one too... As for Jauron's ability to assess WRs, hopefully it will be better than Jack Del Rio's...

Could it be the Bucs are already displeased with
LaDairis replied to OnTheRocks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
http://jaguars.jacksonville.com/cgi-bin/ms...i?section=19565 "Negative words from the head coach Posted by: Fallasha Posted on: 6/10/06 - 2:25 p.m. Did anyone else hear Coach Jack Del Rio on "Jaguars This Week"? He said some pretty negative comments about Mike Williams during the brief interview. Most everyone assumed that picking this guy up was a good move. I was not one of them, but I was hoping that Williams would come in here and change my perception of him. Well, after hearing Del Rio's comments, I am now extremely skeptical of those who say that he will help this team. Among some of the Head Coach's comments on Mike Williams were (paraphrasing): "He has not been impressive up to this point . Mike has a long way to go to even make this team. He knows where he needs to be, and Mike's not there yet. Stockar (McDougle) was more impressive during the minicamp and OTAs." This is not a ringing endorsement for a player that many, including Tony Boselli, have penciled in as a starter when the regular season starts. This just further fuels my belief that not enough was done in the offseason to help our below average offensive line. The OL woes should have been addressed during this year's draft. I don't know if I can take another season of the critics who blame Byron, Fred, Greg, or the receivers for the offense's lack of production. There may be weaknesses in some of those areas, but clearly the OL is the greatest area of concern on that particular side of the ball. Go Jags '06 Fallasha" And, yup, LaDairis just parroted that report. LaDairis has no idea what Mike Williams looks like in Jax right now. LaDairis has no idea who "Fallasha" is. LaDairis does know that there is a show called "Jaguars this Week" and that nobody is disputing what Fallasha claims to have observed on JTW on that board... -
"Coach knows best" is the standard, eh, Disease? I thought Bennie Anderson was a "worthless POS" last year, but "ooach knows best" kept starting him. I thought Wilford was worthless - good kid who tries hard, but not worth the effort. The Jag coach gives Wilford the opportunity, and Wilford led the NFL in drops by a wide margin and got blanked in his final game, the most important one, the first Jag playoff game since Tom Coughlin. It would be nice if Nance could start an entire preseason game, but that won't happen. Needless to say, my "review" of Nance says he doesn't adjust well to the ball and drops balls. So, after everyone here has watched Nance in preseason, whether he gets cut or not, we can have it that way - a Stadium Wall thread with that question: Now that you've seen Martin Nance play, do you agree with LaDairis that Nance does not "adjust to the ball" well, has lousy hands, and needs a throw right to him to make a play? I prefer that to "coach knows best" even with a new coach...
-
LOL!!! PARROTS are so sure of their PARROTING that anyone who questions their PARROTING is a mental case - got that? Anyone who claims to have seen Martin Nance drop balls at Miami OH is a "borderline psychosis" because Nance had 81 catches and hence could not possibly have had any drops according to someone who NEVER SAW NANCE PLAY A DOWN OF FOOTBALL. Goebbels would be so proud of you, AJ...

Let's try a new tactic, something now clearly proven. In 2004, the Jags made Reggie Williams the #9 overall pick in the NFL Draft. Since then, it has become crystal clear that Reggie has great difficulty achieving separation. Can any of you find a report on Reggie Williams that questioned his ability to separate? The truth is that every single Draft site raved about Reggie's ability to separate, except one that called it correctly, a "lesser guru" to be sure...
