  1. This is all in the context of a very frustrated woman. She was Reagan's favorite at one time always giving the first question of every press conference to her. This administration does not give her questions. She has been stonewalled. The admisistration has scripted Bush's and to a lesser extent Cheney's press conferences by asking reporters to pre-submit questions.
  2. Two things immediately come to mind why I think this was a positive thing to do, one it frees JP up to learn the offense - and it puts KH in the position of mentor along with Shane Matthews. They understand their role is to assist him and help him see things out there, in short to develop as quickly as possible, rather than setting them up in an adversarial relationship in which they are keeping the things they see to themselves in order to win the starting job. The second thing is, from a GM standpoint, creating a buzz about JP is going to help sell season tickets. They had to justify to the fans the reason for getting rid of Drew Bledsoe was that they had something better for gameday. Just my thoughts.
  3. Ramius got his name after he fell trying to Run a Mile in Untied Shoes
  4. Did anyone watch channel 7 news in Buffalo last night. JP was signing autographs and said to the camera dryly with a twinkle in his eye: "It is 2:30 AM and I'm still signing autographs." It ran on the 11 o'clock news, and he said it earlier in the day. Good to see the kid relaxed enough to joke around.
  5. Quayle was a beauty: I believe we are on an irreversible trend towards more freedom and democracy, but that could change.
  6. dev/null got up to 4400 posts by just being a nice guy and ironing his socks.
  7. He's just laying the groundwork so he's not entirely blamed for getting sacked 48 times and getting Parcell fired.
  8. It won't matter. JP is expected to have a few clunkers this year. Even if Holcolm outplays JP for a limited time, JP has the better upside and will be more difficult for Defenses to gameplan for.
  9. I agree with this, lets just hope day 2 of practice turns this around, if the guy still looks rusty on day 3 of practice I will sell my tickets.
  10. Just speculation, but I bet ABC will turn it into a Nightline, "When does the Media go too far" referencing this and Mike Wallace interviews with Hamas.
  11. Your kitties aint missing, they are disguised as penquins.
  12. I don't think his 88 catches from last year merit any special consideration this year. Look for him to be back on special teams.
  13. When someone walks in the room, Puhonix quickly changes the channel from Bravo to ESPN.
  14. Is this the TBD version of Seinfeld's Second Spitter with Keith Hernandez?
  15. He was probably watching LT out of the corner of his eye.
  16. Do you think that the Chechyan's (sic) and AQ have a coalition of convenience or shared goals?
  17. I am not as certain as you, but I generally agree with you. (BiB) I follow the media closely and didn't enjoy the segment, I found it disturbing, but I was wondering what line the media crossed exactly. Defining such a thing seems murky, that was just my impression from what I did see.
  18. I have a 6 year old grandson, he likes to point at ladies breasts. I get excited about football, but not about ladies breasts as much as I used to, ahh, age.
  19. Would it have been irresponsible for ABC to interview leaders of the ETA in the Basque? (not a loaded question, I don't know the answer) It seemed to me the guy had a chance to say a lot to discredit himself, and if anything he looked kind of pathetic holding his artificial leg over his shoulder cooking meat on a stick. "They are looking for me, but I am looking for them" sounded like a B movie script.
  20. I saw some of the Broadcast and thought the same thing to myself. My first inclination was that it was freelance journalism and the story was picked-up by ABC, or sold to ABC. Having said that, the show seemed to make a distinction between Osama Bin Laden and this guy, which was that this guy has only regional aspirations, and Osama wants to see the complete distruction of the west. My reaction was that they seemed to go to some lengths to discriminate between the motivations for his type of terror and Osama's. What also came to mind was that in Britain, they never let Jerry Adams speak on the BBC without a voiceover. Which was kind of silly. I was left wondering if this guy is any threat to the US, or should be viewed through the scope of a regional revolutionary/seperatist. I
  21. wow, if all draft picks make the team someone should buy Tom Modrak a bottle of Champagne.
