  1. I am reserving judgement until "The REAL" weighs in.
  2. Just wait until he starts hitting holes with all his chakras aligned, it will leave LB's saying OMV (Oh my Vishnu).
  3. At least for a little while, he could honestly tell people he was a YALE man.
  4. I suppose your idea of female beauty is a broomstick with a boob job.
  5. Nice report. BTW, I think you can give Moulds a pass for not signing autographs, he went to attend the Kelly funeral.
  6. Only read the even posts, the rest are just odd.
  7. The first interception is like a "gateway interception," basically it is like the "pot" of the turnover world. This can lead to regular use of interceptions and eventually to fumblitis and even safeties. Hopefully the entire community will provide JP with a safe environment to get through this troubling time. We can still be hopefull while we use that knowing parental eye around Rochester.
  8. I believe this is calculated to increase his stature. It will probably force a showdown over leadership of the Likkud.
  9. I thought Moulds played pretty well, unless there was something outside the numbers that you could comment on. He played all 16 games, had 88 catches for over 1000 yards and 5 TD's while getting mostly double coverage. Another year of that kind of disappointment is alright in my book.
  10. some from my league: Horny Llamas The Mertz's (with a picture of Fred and Ethel) and my favorite: The Slapheads - (with a picture of a bald guy, Kojak, but currently that guy from Celino and Barnes)
  11. Read it over. Sleep on it. Think some more. You're a smart guy. You're probably just having a bad week. I am going to enjoy the weekend, and I am sorry I asked.
  12. This is a gross mischaracterization of what BiB wrote. Scrimmage Time!!!
  13. So your argument is the antithesis of this, that with the fall of the USSR and the end of the cold war, that the world is less complicated? And that the vacuum created by the demise of the soviet union has not created a shift from the bipolar power structure to ones that are decentralized and rapidly evolving?
  14. No, but with any nominee, it is important to be the first to frame the narrative of his life. The good stuff is supposed to get out there. Adopted children are an asset and they were used. Believe it or not I am not trying to make partisan points here.
  15. I'm pro-life, but if you don't think abortion politics are being played, you're wrong.
  16. Yes. These decisions are not made lightly. The president asked for and received a rare prime time audience for a nomination to be seen. Backgrounds are checked and advice is given as to what to wear, where to stand, what and how much should be said and what. Also I am sure consideration was given to what the children should wear, anything too casual would make the nominee appear too young, which was probably a concern, the 1950's get up will in all likelyhood never was worn and will never be worn again. I am not cynical about the nominee if that is what you were implying, I think he is a good one, but I have also worked in consulting on political campaigns at the gubernatorial level for both Democrats and Republicans. If we are thinking of this stuff - you can be sure that they are at the presidential level.
  17. This was political stagecraft, and it was successful. Ask yourself why was an appointment made as a primetime announcement with the entire family of the candidate. Although abortion can't be discussed from the POV of the President, having the two adopted children present sends a not too subtle message to Bush's core constituency. The President's choice to do this was smart politics. Of course the President's team has already done background checks. If the press finds nothing shady about the adoptions (which I believe they won't), it will reaffirm the message that Bush was trying to send, which is I am selecting a man that is a good family man, and sees adoption as a viable alternative to the word I can't talk about in the nomination process.
  18. I do get it. I just have a different point of view. There is probably no story here at all, but legal documents have everything to do with his job. Probably the adoption records will remain sealed, that doesn't mean that journalist shouldn't try to find out everything they can about him. This isn't attack journalism, at least not yet. In the times that I have dealt with NYT reporters they were tedious fact checkers, (or at least at one time when they had tough editors). Most of the stuff they get never makes it to print. If however, and this is a fictional scenario, they discover that the biological mother of the kids was paid 100,000 dollars, it says nothing about the kids, but would tell us something about Roberts.
  19. Thanks. I have used the Global Security link, but the others are new to me. Much appreciated.
  20. I am glad they do it. Most likely Roberts will be confirmed, (and I think rightly so) but this is a lifetime appointment. Only one chance to have a look.
