Incognito Says "TNF Games are BS"
blargo replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is another way to fix this. Add another bye week for each team and then all Thursday games are played by teams coming off a bye with the exception of opening week. This does 2 things the bye gives longer prep for the Thursday game and then it follows that with a long week for the next game. This would probably have to be part of the next labor contract, but I think both sides would get what they want and I think we fans would get better games. -

Let's go Buffalo -
After seeing the replay so many times I agree with your assessment. If the ball came out in a spiral it would have been overturned, but it came out like he did not have a grip on the ball.

This was a game that the Rex coached team would lose. They would make it close and find a way to lose. It was great seeing that they are finding ways to win. Lack of turnovers is one thing, but how many dumb penalties have we had this year? How many pre-snap? A few not many and that helps the team. If we can continue this and get more drives like that 3rd Q beginning of the 4th where we took over 11 minutes off the clock we will win more than we lose. Now finish the drive!!!!

WEEK 1: ALL 22 REVIEW - O LINE PASS PROT /QB UNFORCED ERRORS
blargo replied to Bocephuz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really disagree with the first Miller "whiff." Look at the play again, it is a mis-direction, Taylor fakes the handoff and then rolls right without looking at what is happening behind him. Miller slides left and takes the nose tackle and keeps him from pressuring Taylor from the backside. The LB made the initial pressure, not the nose guard that was Miller's assignment. -
The most healthy we have been in many years

And the past 2 pre-seasons he did really well. -
I read the article and like every Rodak article it slants very negative for the Bills. Are the Bills tanking this year? No, why keep Shady, Tyrod, Ritchie, Glenn and Clay on Offense, take cap hits and play younger people. The D the last 2 years was unexpectedly bad. The secondary was thin, after we lost A Williams we had so many busted coverages it was sad, and by the end of each year the run D could not stop anyone. We were 8-8 and 7-9 the last 2 years. The question in my mind is will the D be much better than the last 2 years? Will the O continue to run well? Will the pass O be better with a traditional O coordinator? Does Tyrod continue to not produce a ton of turnovers in a new O? If we get some of this we stay in the 7-9 and 9-7 range. If the D is still bad against the run and the O takes a step back we could be 3-13 to 6-10 range. So that is a huge range IMO from 3 wins to 9 wins. Could we get 10 wins? Sure with lots of luck and breaks and a top 5 D and the same type of O we had the last 2 years. Is that likely, not IMHO. I think we stay in that 7-9 and 8-8 range this year. Tough schedule and new systems.

How has Mills been named starter at RT for two regimes??
blargo replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, Mills had a ton of ole' blocks. -
So on Injured Reserve does his salary count against the cap?

Bills' Roster Cuts to the 53 Man Limit

Preston Brown J Williams S. Henderson So with the correction and the above I think that is 11 not counting this years rookies. That is not a good track record... -
Tyrod in Concussion protocol (update - Cleared 9/5)
blargo replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We should know by Wed. If he is limited by then I think he will be ready. If he is still out on Wed I would be worried. -
If either of the other 2 QB's were available I would agree with this. But they are not at this point. This is a meaningless game and if he were to go down we would have to start a QB that was with the team for less than 2 weeks. That would be malpractice. If it happens in the regular season that is a price you are willing to pay to try and win a game, not preseason 4.

Does not sound like he is on the bubble like many say. Sounds like McD also ants to give him more time Ragland battling through each day.

For the garbage time yards and stats.

Both Watkins, Darby said they need to "get in better shape"
blargo replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed, the context implied that he recovered from the foot injury and now he can focus on getting in better shape. Sure did not look alike a dig at the coaching staff to me. -
Broncos would trade for Taylor in a heartbeat, just not sure a 1st round pick.

The Golden Age of Football is Over?
blargo replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
About 1 million kids play high school football Source. If this rate keeps up that would be roughly 10% in 4 years, that is very significant. -
https://overthecap.com/roster-turnover-2017-number-10-1 Speaking of roster and cap mismanagement, you have the Bills whose decisions the last few years led to them patching a team together with a ton of one year low cost veterans, many of whom are not in the NFL right now. It’s one thing to be aggressive when you are the Packers or Seahawks spending on talented players, but another thing to be the Bills and being aggressive on guys like Charles Clay to create bad financial situations. They finally started making changes in their front office which is a good thing because this has been groundhog day for the Bills fans since they signed Ryan Fitzpatrick and Mario Williams and continue to make the same type of mistakes over and over. New coaches have a tendency to surprise in the first year, which could happen here, but don’t be surprised if it’s a one year move while they get the rest of the team in order.
