  1. My sister is a parapalegic. When she was in rehab, about 1/3 of her fellow patients had broken their backs in motorcycle accidents, another 1/3 from diving into shallow water.
  2. Not really. Carr's protection is in the hands of his offensive line and is pretty much out of his control. Williams use of pot is totally within his control.
  3. Did you even read what Darin was responding to? Here is the quote Darin responded to If every U.S. city followed soccer like Rochester, it would be the #1 sport in the country. It is a weird phenomenon that has this community extrememly divided. Soccer lovers vs. Soccer haters. Not much room in the middle. To which Darin said soccer isn't even the number 1 sport in Rochester. So what do you think the number 1 sport is in Rochester?
  4. You asked what the number 1 sport was in Rochester. I'm sticking with football. I think you'll find far more Rochesterians that describe themselves as Bills fans than Rhinos fans. If I am correct in that assessment, the fact that more Rochesterians are football fans and fans of the Bills when they don't have a football team but do have a soccer team pretty much tells you all you have to know about how popular soccer is in this country and what its potential is.
  5. You must be joking. Price was a free agent. The Patriots offered him the vet minimum contract. There was absolutely no risk to them what so ever. If he panned out, they got a steal and if he didn't, they drop him during camp and he doesn't cost them a cent. Moulds would have cost a draft pick to the Bills and taken up a big chunk of cap space, which they probably don't have. Besides, do you really think the Bills would have traded Moulds within their own division?
  6. Probably football, but I'm not sure how to get stats on how many Rochesterians go to Bills games.
  7. You mean the period of time when he was used as a decoy?
  8. The Bills will undoubtedly be less than $10 million under the cap when the season starts since they have to sign their draftees, but that isn't going to eat up all that space.
  9. There was no need to renegotiate. He was under contract and there was cap space.
  10. Did they put his cash to work elsewhere? No. So why weaken an area if you don't have to?
  11. I've been consistent in saying that I believe the Evans/Moulds would be a better combination than Evans/(whoever you want to put here from the Bills roster). Maybe Evans does better than 816 yards this year, but I bet Moulds does better than anyone on the rest of the Bills roster. If JP will only toss the ball downfield, even if our line can't give him the time, then there is a definite flaw in his game.
  12. Where did getting rid of Bledsoe and Pat get us? Did it help or hurt the team? I am living in the present, and realistically it isn't looking good.
  13. I'm not saying he was a great receiver. However the Bills could have addressed their holes in the same way they addressed them and still have kept Moulds. Even if he is on the decline, our receiver corps was still better better with him than without him. Why create more holes where you don't need too?
  14. Not really. Dave's point was that I shouldn't care if Price is overpaid at $1.4 million because the Bills are so far under the cap (~$10.7 million). I see his point but the Bills would still be 6.6 million under the cap if they had kept Moulds and not signed Peerless Price. Had the Bills dumped Moulds and redirected his cap savings money to fill other needs, I wouldn't complain, but that is not what they did. So since Moulds salary really wasn't/isn't the issue. I would prefer to keep Moulds since he is a far superior receiver to Price. One really important question that the Bills need to answer is whether or not Losman is the QB of the future. To help answer that question, I would have liked the Bills to upgrade their offensive line and have a solid receiving corps. While I believe the Bills have upgraded their line, they have seriously weakened their receiving corps. I believe that Moulds offered something to this corps that the rest of the speedy smurfs on the Bills roster do not, a big possesion receiver and safety outlet. I'm afraid that we will have the same questions about Losman at this time next year that we do this year and no improvement in record to show for it.
  15. I'm sorry but even based on his best seasons with the Bills I just don't see Price in the same class as Glenn or Galloway.
  16. In what sense would the financial numbers have sucked? His bonus would have been spread further so the dead cap hit would have been lower.
  17. So what was his problem last year? And why do you think our QB is any better than Atlantas?
  18. Well, I wish they so chose. If money wasn't much of an object, I'd far prefer Eric Moulds, who I readily admit was over paid, to Peerless Price. I like a big receiver who can and will use his strength and body to get position and get some of those passes, even if they are short. I think there is a benefit to having that type of receiver on a team that frequently plays in bad weather. Taken in total, I am not in the least bit impressed with Marv as GM. The outlook for this team looks bleaker than the back to back 2-14 seasons.
  19. I say that based on his stats over the last few years and I care because those dollars could have been used for more solid upgrades at other positions.
  20. In other words, you're a homer and have no clue who can replace his production. 5-11 with Losman and McGahee. Should we have cut them?
  21. Do you think that to some degree those 5 yard patterns were dictated to our offense because our OL sucked and Holcomb doesn't have much of an arm?
  22. What a pathetic comeback ! So who is replacing Evans production?
