  1. If you think the Bills will have a hard time matching in the next 9 games with a different QB what the did in the first 7 games with Losman then there is no reason to switch QBs. In fact you are arguing that they should stay the course. Its not about making JP feel good about himself. Its about developing a young QB, which is best done by playing him, or getting enough information that he will never develop, which would mean acquiring another QB in the off season. Tutan Reyes was injured.
  2. Are you seriously saying the offensive line is playing good?
  3. So you're saying you didn't see the preseason? That is what preseason is for. What is so much better about winning 5-6 games instead of 2? Practically speaking, it only puts us in a worse draft position.
  4. Maybe Peerless Price simply isn't very good. He hasn't shown anything since he left Buffalo the first time. It is fine to say "stretch the field" but to do that, the offensive line has to block adequately so the receivers can get down field. That simply isn't happening.
  5. He's playing off of this thread.
  6. WOW. I'm not a JP apologist but what team are you watching?
  7. Uh, I think JinVA was being sarcastic.
  8. Sounds like you are laying the groundwork to justify inattention to the most glaring defficiency on this team year after year after year. I don't buy that McNally does not work well with free agents. His reputation is based on an offensive line that had free agents like Dusty Ziegler and Glenn Parker. I fail to see how Marv and company are doing anything different or are any better at evaluating talent than the previous regime was.
  9. Isn't there a big difference between Jenning injury history, both before and after he signed with the 49ers, and Spikes's history?
  10. Where did Dawgg express anything like that?
  11. So who did that? You were the first person to use the word "bust" in this thread.
  12. So now we can not form opinions on how good a player is based on their college careers, the pro careers with teams other than the Bills or their lack of any play for the Bills in any meaningful game. We must wait until they are no longer playing football? How did the Poston boys screw up his contract with Washington? Why did that prevent him from performing on the field for Washington when he was healthy? Coming back to reality, how is he doing for the Giants?
  13. Brings us back to the question, what is the definition of a bust? Given his history of injuries, his inability to break into the starting lineup with Washington even when he was healthy and his talk of possible retirement if he ever suffered another knee injury, was giving him a big contract a good idea?
  14. Oh come on, the man hasn't done a thing in a Bills uniform when it counted. You can't say that about the Seattle or Pittsburgh issues. With respect to Arrington, Washington didn't think he was worth the jack so they let him go. How's he doing for the Giants?
  15. Bowen was picked up this year. Shouldn't the front office have figured out whether or not he would be a good fit for this scheme before they signed him? Should they have picked a coaching staff that was slavish to a particular scheme instead of one that would fit the scheme to the talents of the players at hand?
  16. So good training camp = great pickup? To date, I haven't criticized Bowen. I have been critical of Marv's pick of a coach, his draft, how he addressed the offensive line fiasco, his dealings with Sam Adams and Eric Moulds, picking up light weight defensive linemen and giving a sweet contract to Peerless Price but I have not been critical of Bowen. Isn't someone who takes up cap space and roster space but does absolutely nothing for you on game day the definition of a bust?
  17. The Bills were approximately $10 million below the salary cap. What would prevent them from offering a front loaded contract to an impact player thereby putting other teams at a negotiating disadvantage and lowering the cap impact in future years, thereby giving the Bills more flexibility in signing players in the future?
  18. Can't answer the questions I raised eh?
  19. Gotcha. So how is he doing for Marv? What has he done that should cause people to change those opinions?
  20. Wow you're amazing. Following your lahjik, you can't judge any player by anything they've done on the football filed for any other NFL team or at the college level because you don't know how they would do when they put on a Bills uniform. Is there something special about the Bills uniform that will transform an average player into a All Pro?
  21. How do you know that? Did the Bills even contact their agents? Put together the right deal and they may have signed.
  22. There was cap space available this year. Why didn't the Bills use it?
  23. So game time film in another uniform doesn't count? So nobody can ever criticize any signing unless they've seen that player play in a Bills uniform and then can not criticize because they should have said something sooner?
  24. Of course that could have been avoided by putting a good product on the field.
