Am I The Only One Who Wants The Bills...
Scraps replied to jjmac's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybin hasn't shown that he fits in any scheme. +1 on everything. I am very frustrated with this front office and the decision to go to the 3-4. Another 3 years wasted. -
This is why I think it is a mistake to go to the 3-4. I think Kyle Williams is a very good 4-3 DT. I don't think he will be a very good 3-4 NT. I don't think he will take double and triple teams, occupy space and free the LBs.

I saw a youtube video of her doing the National Anthem at an NBA game last year. She is a very good singer for some genres and did okay with the anthem as a child, but as an adult, this song clearly is not meant for her.

Kind of like I'm okay with non- traditional renditions. Whitney Houston, Marvin Gaye, Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson gave great interpretations. Occasionally I guess you have to put up with Mariah Carey and her squeal or Aguilera, whose renditions seem to forced even when she doesn't blow a line.

While last year both teams ran a 4-3?

All of These Hindsight Post are getting Dumb
Scraps replied to EldaBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Riiiiiight, because the none of the new management were part of the old management and the new management did such a great job with free agency, the draft, evaluating the QB position, swithcing to the 3-4 when we had people to play the 4-3, extending contracts for really bad LBs etc. -
I really haven't heard the bust word used with Kyle Calloway or Danny Batten. Even if it has been used with either of those players, I doubt it has been applied to them nearly as much as it has to CJ Spiller simply because neither of them were drafted #9 overall.

Matt Millen, enuf said.

Oh I'm not so sure. I think most peoples expectations of a 6th round pick aren't nearly the same as for a high 1st round pick. I also think Bills fans are rightly exasperated with the Bills propensity to pick projects or out right busts in the 1st round.
-
I think his point was that Starks was drafted 193rd overall. We had 6 chances to get him, not including the first round pick. So would you rather have a DL, OT, LB with the 9th pick and taken Starks instead of Easley, Wang or Batten, or would you rather have Spiller at 9?

Sorry but I'm not buying it. Your rational for labeling a draft 'okay'' is to get a contributor and labeling a draft 'good' is to get 2-3 contributors. For a team that professes the need to build from the draft, this team has do better than that, especially given its propensity to not retain players who have proven they can play thus creating holes where none need exist. 3 First round picks and 1 second spent on running backs in the past decade? Pathetic. And I'm sorry but I am totally unimpressed with Poz. So what if he is a starting LB? How many Pro Bowls has he made? He is only starting because the brain farts in charge of this team did not keep Fletcher and the rest of the LBs on this team are weak. As for the Steelers picks being similar to the Bills, not buying it. The Steelers have had 79 draft picks in the last decade, the Bills 85. The Steelers have picked 5 spots behind the Bills on average yet 35 of those picks are on their roster compared to just 26 for the Bills. The Steelers also have 2 picks from the 90s on their team, the Bills, none. This team is talent poor because it does not retain players who can play and can not draft competently.

Could a Lockout be Good for Us Fans??
Scraps replied to BuffaloATL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Generally speaking, our opponents typically don't have scab level players on their roster. -

Scab football ain't real football. I want the real deal. I also think we have a decent shot at Andrew Luck next year and don't want scabs screwing that up. -
No CBA might benefit Buffalo's Draft
Scraps replied to sllib olaffub's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, we need to stop drafting guys who are ready to step in and play like Mike Williams, Willis McGahee, JP Losman, Roscoe Parrish, John McCargo, James Hardy, Leodis McKelvin, Aaron Maybin and CJ Spiller and draft a project instead. -

Scab football sucked and going 4-0 would simply be a mirage that puts us in a worse drafting position. -
So all the drafts are okay or good and this team is still talent poor? Sorry but 2006 was a bust. Passing on a DT for a safety when we really needed a DT sucked. Don't forget that we traded up to get McCargo. 2007 - I won't get to down on Lynch but letting a team leader who did not get injured in London Fletcher go and picking up the oft injured Poz was a loser. Trent is gone, what more needs to be said. 2008 - McKelvin - bad pick. Ellis meh. Corner meh. What about Hardy? 2009 - Passing up Orakpo, Cushing and Mathews for Maybin blows. 2010 - Sorry but a RB picked number 9 over all should do better.

The NFL’s 10 Best Cheerleading Squads
Scraps replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Broncos are also the only cheerleading squad that has a breast augmentation sponsor, Dr. Ben Lee. I'm guessing Dr Lee wished they used a picture of a different cheerleader. -

Thanks but I will continue to post right here. Deal with it. I realize that everthing can't be done overnight. I also realize that things can show improvement immediately. To many mistakes from what I've seen. Apparently you aren't sold either, since you haven't bought your tickets back. So why are you on the Buddy Nix excuse parade and so critical of those of us who are not. -

You are a homer. You are a staunch deflector of any criticism. If he was such a good evaluator of talent, he should have recognized what he had in the QB position. It is after all the most important position on the field. Green was horrible. Why switch to a 3-4 when your people are built for a 4-3 and are totally inadequate to play the 3-4? Did he get a good nights sleep when free agency started? Stop buying into the "complete rebuild" line. People keeping buying into 3 year rebuilding program after 3 year rebuilding program. I'm done with that. They have to start showing me they know what they are doing. -

So in every round he got the guy he really wanted and that is why he sprinted up to the podium? Every pick? Really? -
