Goodell proposes overtime change. Finally!
CherryCoke replied to Webster Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
if it was the 4th quarter and a team had the ball (during their "last possession") down by 3pts, they would go for it on every fourth down overtime in general changes the dynamic of the game and that cant be avoided IMO. In regulation, the clock is the only thing that can end a game....in OT its as simple as a field goal 2 minutes in -
Aaron Maybin hanging with McGahee in Miami
CherryCoke replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
seriously people, relax on the hate... maybin is putting in work...check out this pic of him training with Ray Lewis' trainer... pic do you just want him to lift weights and read a play book all day long?! ...i know its his job but damn, let him live his life do you deliver pizza, collect trash, or mop mall bathrooms all day long?...arn't you people really into your jobs? get back to work -
The Marketing Genius of the Buffalo Bills
CherryCoke replied to McClane's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the "awating your return" line is obviously the reason that they used that particular picture....they are punting...and literally "awaiting your return" IMO...if they wanted to use that line cleverly...they should have used a photo of lindell lining up for a kick-off instead... Would have meant that we just scored or it was the beginning of the game and the bills wern't losing yet haha -
haha i missed it, what did he say about jerry??

not sure about TV.. but wgr is on local all day now (instead of Cowherd or Rome) and will have the press conference

Leslie Frazer "blew away" Nix in interview.
CherryCoke replied to lets_go_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
common, the guy has been around forever and has talked with thousands of football people over his career... yeah, its his first time as GM "interviewing" someone for a HC position...dont make it sound like he only has fewell to compare to.. -
I understand his instincts are to catch the ball...but the play is to knock the ball down (if he can catch it..he can smack it to the ground) Its just obvious! he knows it fourth down (or at least I hope he knew) then he should know that by slamming it to the ground they get the ball at the 23ish and not risk a fumble. In that situation it is conservative...but its smart! Again, like i said before, i completely understand why I caught it and i'm not blaming him for that...but (like i said) i would have been more impressed if he just batted it down.
-
I would have been more impressed if he would have just knocked the ball down...instead of picking if off in the KC game. im pretty sure it was fourth down...just knocking it down and we would have had better field position and not risked a potential fumble I mean i understand why he went for the ball obviously, it was a gift and hes chasing a record
-
No way, he would have been injured and on IR by now if we signed in back then We preserved him for our run at the wildcard.
-
Yeah "the obvious" for obsessed bills fans that discuss this stuff all day..... dont forget that he is on ESPN and is reporting to the whole world...not just to us bills fans who beat these topics to death every day.

I get what you are saying...but why shouldnt they cover the NHL as if its on par with the NFL?...in buffalo it might just be A lot of people here play hockey (or their kids do), and there is a lot of history in the sabres organization. Additionally there is a lot of interest from across the border as well. Not that i care about this, but the Sabres are very kid friendly and appeal to families. Being a local station, it is in their best interest to cover what is popular locally....not nationally (i.e. nascar. mlb, nba)...obviously there are people here interested in those sports (me being one of them), but probably not enough to drive ratings and advertising dollars.
-
You think the reason that Buffalo follows the NHL "like a religion" is becuase of WGR? I really dont get this whole WGR hatred..it is what it is, why does it make everyone so mad WGR hasnt talked hockey since Bills started camp/preseason (excpet when they made a free agent signing). Likewise, they talk mostly hockey once the NFL season is over...this seems logical to me

Some Observations About The Game.
CherryCoke replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Crowd: One of the best waves i've seen in a long time (probably becuase all of the children got into it, annnd there was significantly less alcohol involved which has been known to throw of ones timing and lead to a sloppy and unorganized wave) -
Tops was hurt badly by the corporate overseas grocery giant (Ahold) that previously owned them until a year ago. Now they are locally owned again and are making great strides back to the previous form. I read an article that they are sinking big money into revamping most of their stores. They do have a great selection (and dont force their store brand down your throat like wegmans does)

awesome, i'll check it out

Move over Flutie Flakes... Honey Nut T.O's!
CherryCoke replied to extrahammer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've heard that it will be exclusively sold at Tops in a couple of week when it is released. I've seen the box, on the back there is a picture of him dumping the cereal on his face through his face mask just like the infamous popcorn stunt! haha -

CherryCoke replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives

i dont even think that is actually possible its not like is a structure made of wood that can be taken apart, trasnsported then nailed back together its made of cement and welded steel. Plus, it would probably take a decade

We stacked interior OL
CherryCoke replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i think a lot had to do with $$ already invested in DEs they are already paying Kelsay and Schobel a ton of money, now add in a high 1st round pick thats a lot of cash allocated to one position adding another rookie DE would have been great, but the amount or money dedicated to that position would have been sickening.
