  1. Been doing it for nearly 50 years.. I really don't want to be one of those people that my grandson comes to the grave in 2060 and says-- they did it grandpa! I know, I'm a selfish bast%rd...
  2. And Hogan was wide open for a TD on third down. Was not even a hard throw and Orton missed it badly.
  3. I agree the team is better. But yesterday's game shows they have a way to go. I'm a little tired of we'll be good soon, it has been said so many times before I can't stand it. Could we not be just good enough now to make the playoffs and stop being a laughingstock? Apparently not.
  4. Agree. Overall, the Bills played well in a big spot. Unfortunately, two critical turnovers cost 14 points. The Bills are still finding ways to lose instead of win. Next 3 games truly are must win if the playoffs are to be even a possibility in December. But I am not at all believing a team that dumped today's game can win the next 3 or go 2-2 in December. It's sad but par for the course in Billsland.
  5. The bottom line is the Bills always find a way to lose when it matters. Whether it is choking late or from the get go, in a big spot the Bills lose. Until they show something different, you can always assume it is the outcome as it has been for the past 15 years. Getting too upset about what always happens is sort of the definition of insanity.
  6. Now ranging from a pick 'em to 1.5
  7. One loss will likely not eliminate them. It would leave them 8-4 going into December. And while it looks like 11-5 will be needed to get in right now, it always tends to look that way this time of year and then it almost never ends up being the case. If you don't make it into the playoffs at 10-6, it is surprising. So I'd take 8-4 at the end of the month, and hope that a team with playoff aspirations in December can beat Oakland and manage to win just one from Denver, New England or Green Bay at home. But one of the next two games is must win, as are the home games against the Jets and Brown later in the month. 7-5 = toast in my view.
  8. Actually Denver was the favorite for the SB at 3.5/1 in Vegas before the game yesterday. NE was second choice at 6-1. Given that NE now has the tiebreaker for home field, I would think at worst NE would be co-favorite with Denver at this point.
  9. Yeah, frankly I thought it would be more. After losing their first two and continuing a downtrend after the first half of last year, KC has been a beast over its last 6 games, going 5-1 while demolishing the Dolphins in Miami, destroying NE on Monday night at home, and a tight win over a then hot SD team on the road. If the Bills handle KC-- even if at home-- I think the respect will go up. This is the kind of game the Bills must win if they are to be a serious playoff contender-- beating a roughly equal non-Division AFC team at home when it matters.
  10. Given that New England has become the Super Bowl favorite after its demolition of Denver, the division title for the Bills now seems unlikely. If the Bills are to stay alive in the WC chase, given the 3 losses they already have in conference and the gaudy records of AFC teams, the game against KC is pretty much a must win to keep realistic playoff chances alive. Can they win as modest dogs once again?
  11. TD Denver! Comeback? Seemingly due for a loss.
  12. I think it is just a guess at this point who the Bills should have win. I agree San Diego is better than Miami, but they have an extremely difficult second half schedule. And a more motivated Miami team will not help the Bills on Thursday night. I think only time will tell which was the right outcome. Perhaps a tie.
  13. Does anyone know the parameters of the voidable part of Orton's contract for 2015. Is it up to him, the team or either?
  14. Did we ever determine his contract status for next year. Is it a club only option to void the contract, or can Orton just walk away if he gets a better offer? Seems unlikely he would, but who knows.
  15. My bad. I'll get right on it sir!
  16. Yeah that's the ticket. Crossman made the O-line suck! Nice piece of thinking there... Fire everyone-- I feel grumpy today. None of these people ever should have been hired. It was all a scam to sell tickets in Syracuse, and Bills fans are just stupid enough to fall for it. I mean Jimmy Spagnola was available--- what has Marrone ever done better than Jimmy.
  17. Crossman is just another crony of Marrone. He has no business being a coordinator in this league. Did you ever look at his special teams rankings when at Detroit? Is it any wonder the Bills offense, urr special teams, is so bad.
  18. Seriously? You are a depressingly sad person.
  19. What QB in the 2015 is the sure thing, we could get him with a top 5 pick guy? With the rare exception of a P. Manning or Luck, when is there ever such a guy? RG III? I mean the best QBs today, such as Rogers, Brady,Brees etc etc were not top 5 guys. The closest you might find is E. Manning and P. Rivers (6th), who over their careers have been good but not great overall. How nice it would be if it were as easy as you suggest that 2015 is the one year where we would have found our guy but for the Watkins trade in the first round--presumably, according to you, by giving away lots of picks in 2016.
  20. And the 4th was really Stevie Johnson.
  21. I don't understand the "giant price" thing-- even though most everyone says it. When you set aside all the discussion of how many draft picks we gave up, at the end of the day we gave up Stevie Johnson and next year's first round pick for Sammy. Now I guess we are all sure that whoever the Bills would have taken with say the 15th pick next year would be the greatest player ever, the fact is it is just one player and he may or may not turn out to be a bust. So we could have Stevie, perhaps Ebron and Mr. Unknown from next year or Sammy. It seems that is just about the right price for Sammy, and not really exhorbitant. Especially when you have him now.
  22. Well the Jets lost to Detroit and Chicago, who the Bills of course beat.
  23. I think that says it all-- the Bills are the functional equivalent of a 1-6 team according to oddsmakers.
