Stroud practicing, but still in protocol and unlikely to play until after Thanksgiving.

According to NYT playoff machine, Bills currently have a 92% chance to make the playoffs. It is +/- 6 % depending on a win or loss. Not exactly a must win, but probably is to keep longshot chances alive for division. Wins against Texans and Pats raises chances from 14% to 40%.

But you focus on the Bills weaknesses and likely don't watch the other contenders' games as closely. No one says the Bills have "fixed" their run defense, it has sucked particularly in the last two games. They have been OK at times. But the point is that every team has problems. The odds are what they are because we are grading on a curve here, not in absolute terms. Maybe that is mumbo jumbo, but I don't think so. You are having a recency bias, but the odds look at the bigger picture.

Well, l the bettors don't see it that way. History matter I guess, as the Bills are 4th overall at +850 behind only the + 800 Chiefs. Bills are favored to win the AFC title at +375. Patriots are +1800 and +600 respectively, although they are heavy favorites to win division at -250. Broncos are +1600 and +600 respectively. What this tells me is the public perception is that all the AFC upstarts are not really that good, and that when crunch time comes they likely will fold. But those are the odds, so take a stab at some of the new "good" teams in the AFC if your convictions are strong as betting against the Bills could be profitable. As Josh said right after the comeback over the Ravens: "next time have a little faith." Not much faith among many here, but what the heck, I understand after Miami. But when the Bills play their game, they will be a tough out.

Very windy, not bad with wind at back but bad in face. Sun is out with broken clouds. Kind of a perfect day for the Bills against a Florida team. -

Real windy, just got back from a run with my Lab. Skies seem to be clearing though, should be dry for the game. -

Last game today for me at the Ralph today too!! Went in 1973. Go Bills!!!! -
Just listened to it and it was excellent. Basically Brady is doing nothing much to scheme the receivers open for intermediate routes. If I followed correctly, Brady is relying on pure receiver skill to get open. Cosell pointed out you don't need all-world receivers to get guys open. Reminds me of the plain vanilla defense Wannstedt used to play. Reading between the lines, Brady is playing checkers instead of three dimensional chess that other teams do. Lord I hope he has an epiphany.

I think if they win the division they will not be one and done. But I'd rather win the division and lose than not make the playoffs or be a wild card. One step at a time.

Bowles just said both are out for Sunday, but trending OK.

I will.

You don't win a SB in November. They have done enough the last five years to make me give them the benefit of the doubt even after that debacle in Miami. They may disappoint me, but as a Bills fan for over 50 years disappointment is a dear friend. I'll let this play out, like I did after the awful wind game in 2021. And even if this is not their year, with Allen this team will always have a chance, if we can add the right pieces in the off season, either with this regime or another. The re-ascendancy of the Pats-- which was unexpected this year and makes it somewhat traumatic-- is just another team to beat like the Chiefs (although they have done nothing yet to make them anywhere near as dangerous). It's just competition, and at the end that's what makes it fun, notwithstanding the Patriot PTSD.

I don't think so. The Bills played a bad game. The average fan is not nearly as vested as you and others here who always want to fire everyone when anything goes wrong. Bills fans are durable. No booing unless the Bills really stink throughout the game like a week ago, then maybe.
