  1. If anyone is planning on signing up with Dish, let me know- I can give you a Club Dish code which will waive the $50 up front fee in addition to the $50 credit that you will get on your first bill. Plus, right now you can get $12 off any package. And, it helps me out as well- i get a credit. So, let me know.

  2. Great.... thanks for all the feedback. Those are exactly the thoughts I had... that I'm just setting myself up for a quick trip to the unemployment office if I accept the counter... that I'm not keeping my word with the new place,  and so on down the line.

I really feel bad leaving the place I'm at.  I don't like the job, or the company... but for some reason I feel bad.

I'll take the new job and try and keep the old one around as a contract/consulting gig. That may fly.

Sorry for all of the OT, but I started at the current place seven years ago and have not been through this before. Went from school to the current job.. this is my first time really dealing with counter offers, contracts, blah blah blah... I figured some of you would be more worldly when it comes to that stuff.

I would not feel bad. Big company's will can you at the drop of a hat. You should take the money and run. Especially since you don't like the people or the place.

  3. Kicker Justin Langan will apparently have a tryout for the Bills on June 17.  Poor guy   is getting married in early July.  Here's what he has to say about his honeymoon vs. being on a team roster:

That boy's got a fire burning in his belly.  Unfortunately it appears to be indigestion. :flirt:

Would u rather kick a football or hit some pootytang?

  4. Weber Silver B here they are great. First thing I bought when I moved into my home! Lately, I've been thinking of going back to charcoal again. It let's you be more involved in the process and adds flavor.

  5. The Eagles have spent the last five seasons trying to push the stone up the hill and get that first Lombardi trophy.  Three straight NFC championship game losses followed by this past Super Bowl defeat has left a sour taste in the mouths of many, but not nearly all Eagles fans.  Some are content to contend every year, to go to a playoff game or two, and are confident that there will always be next year.

Now, with the TO situation and the contractual discontent of others, particularly Brian Westbrook, many Eagles fans are afraid the window will close, and that we've seen all we're going to see.  If that happens, I don't know if I'll look upon the past four years with fondness or with bitterness.  I suspect the latter.

I'm genuinely interested in your thoughts on this question.  How do you look back on the Bills' Super Bowl years? With fondness and at least some sense of satisfaction? Or perhaps with bitterness and emptiness?  I grew up in upstate NY and rooted for the Bills in every Super Bowl.  I can only imagine how crushing it must have been for you.

    Thanks for your input.
