  1. He was right up there with Brandon Marshall, Braylon Edwards and a few other great WR's. I guess that means they all suck.
  2. Nobody wants Bodden on their football team and Springs is suffering from a severe case of hemorrhoids and dencher problems. But nice try NE.
  3. You can have fun with your 40 yard dash for defensive lineman. I'm sure you loved Erik Flowers, Mike Mamula, Vernon Gholston, Jarvis Moss, Tamba Hali, Erasmus James, Kenechi Udeze, Jerome McDougle, Jamal Reynolds and Dimitrius Underwood. When you realize there is more to rushing the passer than the 40 yard dash, you'll have a better clue as to how to rate good football players. Go be a Raiders fan if you want fast 40 times. It worked out for Al Davis.
  4. I don't even know what your first sentence means. If you are trying to say that you can use the first 10 yards of the 40 as an indicator then you are proving my exact point. And if you aren't, people can run a fast 40 and a slow first 10 yards. Its called having no quickness. Straight line speed for a lineman is useless. If you aren't quick in a 10 yard radius, you aren't going to be successful. What the hell are you talking about? When did I ever say I wanted slow, lumbering DE's?
  5. 40 times for ANY lineman are irrelevant. You don't judge a lineman by how fast he can run 40 yards... because they never run 40 yards. You use the shuttle times and 10 yard times as your indicator.
  6. Uh... how about because we need a linebacker... and we need a pass rush? You may want to start with that. Both of them can either play at DE or OLB. You haven't seen enough of Fine to deem him "completely ineffective."
  7. Nelson is great. Casey is great. Coffman is great.
  8. He is anything but a blocking TE, he is a receiving TE. He played in the slot in the spread offense. Just because he has a slow 40 time doesn't make him a blocking TE.
  9. If Brown or Orakpo are there, I take him. If not, I might look at Andre Smith (if available) for LG. I'd obviously have to investigate him and his issues, but if I felt that maybe he got a bad rap I'd take him. If he's not there, I look for a pass rushing LB like Larry English or Maybin (if I thought he didn't lose his quickness).
  10. Who cares if it was 100% for marketing? Are you less excited about what's on the field?
  11. We're not "dumping a salary," He'd be a free agent.
  12. If he has a great year, franchise his ass and trade him for some picks.
  13. Me too, but I don't see why Lee has to "allow" anything. Yeah he's been the #1 here, but he's not as good as T.O., plain and simple. Its not embarrassing to not be as good as one of the greatest statistical receivers of all time, I don't know why he should have to "let" Owens have the main gig. If Peyton Manning came to the Bills, should Trent have to "let" him be the number 1 guy? With the attitude Owens brings, that he wants the ball and actually commands it, he will be getting the fair share of the opportunities. Lee doesn't have the personality to command anything.
  14. If he's there at 11, I make the first call to the Eagles and try getting their 2 first rounders.
  15. If you said you'd rather have Jared Allen on your team over Mike Mamula, would you feel it was necessary to explain why?
  16. Sorry, Lee, but you're not the #1 receiver when a sure fire hall of famer comes into town that has produced more in this league than you could ever dream of. Lee is our deep threat, and nothing else. Owens will take care of the rest.
