  1. I'm glad Ruff is staying. I could care less if Darcy stays or goes.
  2. I wouldn't draft a tackle with either pick in the 1st round.
  3. Does anyone know this to be true, or is this just speculative? Do you think anybody on the face of this Earth, who is the slightest bit interested in football, would rather take a 4th rounder over a 3rd? Because I don't. Either 1.) This report is untrue, or 2.) There is some other trade/move that is going to happen.
  4. I think I read the conditional may not be hammered out yet, but if it turns into any pick in the first 3 rounds then we pretty much raped them, IMO. But we'll see.
  5. Last year our pass protection was damn near excellent with Walker at LT and Chambers at RT. Not to mention, Bell seems to be progressing very well. Now we've got two 1st round picks, a 2nd, a 3rd, and two 4th rounders. That is some serious ammo that could be used to improve this team. Let's see how we come out with those picks before we get upset. Also, the conditional next year interests me. You KNOW Peters is going to make the Pro Bowl regardless of how well he plays, so would that pick turn into a 2nd? a 3rd?

  7. We actually agree on a lot more than you'd think, I just take a different approach to it which turns you off.
  8. He isn't "destined" to be in a 3-4, but given how many teams are now playing that defense, along with the fact that a 4-3 end's primary purpose is rushing the passer, it looks like the 3-4 is where he's going to end up.
  9. Count me in for NOT wanting a dome. The only thing that makes Buffalo unique in the minds of NFL teams and fans is playing games in its crazy weather. Seeing Buffalo on the schedule late in the year gives us relevance, it gives us an identity. Without that, we just become the most forgotten NFL franchise in the league. Nothing sets us apart. Can you imagine the Green Bay Packers playing in a dome? Also, I don't care that it doesn't give the advantage for our team right NOW. The stadium, or new stadium, is going to be here for decades... these players will not. I wouldn't want to give all of that up because a few pansies on the team right now can't handle the cold. Its up to the front office to get players in here who can. Keep our identity, because we don't have anything else that the other big cities have. The fans and the cold, that's it.
  10. What are you talking about? Do any of those three questions ask if I wanted Aaron Curry on the Bills?
  11. I don't believe Curry will slide because of the 3-4 defenses because he can play inside in the 3-4 or outside in the 3-4. He can play MLB in the 4-3 or OLB in the 4-3. He can play anywhere. I can't see Curry falling to 8 because I just don't think he will. There are enough teams that desperately need LBers 1-7. The Bills should most certainly NOT trade up for him because I just don't think he's worth it. He's not that dominant a player where it would warrant us not being able to fill another hole with the lost draft choices it would take to trade up.
  12. I'd throw up. You really covet the two players with probably the most questions to their abilities?
  13. Its not that he is a special teams coach, its that he's a special teams coach only. He's coached some tight ends and corner here and there over twenty years ago, but that's it. Gruden, Harbaugh... people like that eventually moved from special teams to a positional coach and coordinator role before being considered as a head coach. April had little to no experience on the NFL level at coaching ANYTHING other than special teams.
  14. Ah, yes. You're right. Over the last twenty years it is safe to just assume that April has gotten first hand experience in everything there is to know about offense and defensive schemes, strategy and personnel.
  15. Are you equating Mike Singletary and Bobby April on the same level experience wise?
  16. Cue in the morons who think Bobby April is qualified to coach anything other than special teams. The last time Bobby April coached anything besides special teams was nearly 20 years ago at the college level when he was a secondary coach. If you want a candidate like that as your team's head coach, God help us all.
  17. So now that you know his wonderlic score, you want to draft him?
  18. If I knew more than a houseplant, I'd be ecstatic
  19. The thread is about Jarron Gilbert. That's obviously who I was talking about.
